育的发展前景有了更广阔的期待。首都医科大学口腔医学院白玉兴副院长、中山大学光华口腔医学院凌均棨院长、北京大学口腔医学院郭传璸副院长、四川华西口腔医学院石冰副院长、上海交通大学口腔医学院郭莲副院长、第四军医大学口腔医学院李东副院长以及湖北武汉大学口腔医学院台保军副书记等就各校开展教学改革和教学实践的具体体会进行了经验交流，使大家在相同时间里获得了国内难得的横向的、广泛的
教学管理信息。会议自始至终洋溢着浓厚的学术气氛，大家互相交流教育教学信息，研讨教学中遇到的各种情况。会议还分组对我国口腔医学本科教育标准进行了认真讨论，大家一致认为：随着我国社会对口腔医学的需求，我国口腔医学教育近期发展较快，相对口腔医学教育资源缺乏造成一系列矛盾正在显现，非常有必要制定口腔医学本科教育标准。
此次会议进行了新一届口腔医学教育专业委员会的换届选举，由57名国内各院校的口腔医学教育专家组成。会议对上一届卸任的专业委员会委员颁发了感谢状，向新当选的主任委员、副主任委员、常委、委员以及青年委员们颁发了聘书。当选的新一届专业委员会表示和全国口腔医学教育界同仁一道，秉承老前辈开创的我国口腔医学教育理念和经验，努力探索中国特色的口腔医学教育规律和人才培养模式，为我国口腔医学教育快速健康可持续发展，培养多
层次口腔医学人才，提升我国口腔医学教育的国际地位共同努力！
这次口腔医学教育学术会最重要的成果是初步形成了全国口腔医学教育本科教学标准讨论稿，它将从办学宗旨、目标到软、硬件条件建设上都对国内口腔医学教育标准提出了最低要求，经过进一步细化，并与国家有关行政部门汇报沟通获准实施后，该标准有望对对国内口腔医学教育规范化办学，确保人才培养质量，争取多方资源支持口腔医学教育，促进我国口腔医学又好又快的发展起到重要的推动作用。
