黄河石林形成于距今400万年前的第三世纪末的地质时代，由于地壳运动、风化，雨蚀，形成了以黄河砂砾岩为主，造型千姿百态的石林地貌奇观。主要景观有：屈原问天，苍鹰回首，千帆竞发，大象戏水等。

大敦煌影视城：位于甘肃省景泰县东部24km处，占地5000平方米，那里的风光非常相似敦煌，有壁画，城楼。。

饮马大峡谷：又称饮马沟。相传因成吉思汗在此饮过马而得名，著名影视《神话》外景拍摄地，黄河石林除了那些祖祖辈辈相传下来的关于祖先经历的传说之外，几乎没有故事，但它本身就是对自己的绝好说明。
