浅谈初一英语教学的策略措施

随着新教材的使用,学生在学习英语过程中出现了两级分化现象。从第一学期开始,学生学习英语的兴趣特别浓,几乎全部学生都能积极主动地学习,可到第二学期已有将近三分之一的学生学习兴趣骤减,课堂已失去生动、活泼的氛围,两极分化现象严重。究其原因主要有以下几方面:

1、教材方面:试用的教材紧跟时代发展的脉膊,扩充了大量的信息,思想性强,选编的内容涉及各学科知识,话题新颖,生动有趣,增加了谜语、谚语、小诗、幽默故事等内容;教材容量大,要求高,新教材增加了语言输入量,对学生的能力要求提高了,如词汇量增加了将近一倍,课文难度增强,练习题量增大,对话长度和篇幅才有所增加;课文、例文话题侧重于城市学生生活,与农村学生的实际生活经验相距甚远,如发送电子邮件、磁片的应用、比萨饼的制作等。

2、学生方面:我们使用的新教材是供有初步英语基础的学生使用的,而农村大部分学生小学英语基础几乎为零;掉了队的学生不懂的东西越积越多,觉得学英语是一种负担,久而久之,就使他们产生厌学情绪。

3、教法方面:由于初次试用新教材,新的教学方法,现代化教学手段一时不能运用,在教学过程中仍旧使用旧教材的教学方法,注重知识的讲解,忽视了学生在学习中的主体地位,使学生成为单一的知识接受者,这种教学模式,严重阻碍了学生能力的培养。

面对着差生增多的现象,在教学中要特别注意学习动力的激发,同时要选择适合学生学习的教学过程和方法。这样才能改变学生的状况,成功实施教学。教学中应采取的措施主要有以下几方面:

1、教法的改进:调整进度和要求,教学中可适当放慢速度,在重点、难点问题上增加学生思考的时间,让全体学生的精力集中起来,让人人参与表演,参与讨论,发挥想像,使人人都有所获,为学生提供展示自我的舞台,同时要注重交际能力的培养,起点要低,把起点定在稍做努力就可以达到的位置。又要有耐心,遵守循序渐进的原则。

2、采用分层教学法:重点是面对学习困难的学生,给他们的发展提供有利条件,让他们人人动口、动脑、会的多说一些,不会的少说一些,全方位调动学习积极性。

3、学生情感的培养:学生只有对自己,对英语及其文化,对英语学习有积极的情感,才能保持英语学习的动力并取得成绩。因此,在教学中教师应自始至终关注学生的情感,努力营造宽松、民主、和谐的教学氛围。

4、尊重每个学生,积极鼓励他们在教学中的尝试,保护他们的自尊性和积极性;把英语教学与情感教育有机地结合起来,创设各种合作学习的活动,促使学生互相帮助,体验集体荣誉感和成就感,发展合作精神;特别关注性格内向或学习有困难的学生,尽可能多地为他们创造语言实践的机会;建立融洽、民主的师生交流渠道,应经常和学生一起反思学习过程和学习效果,做到教学相长。

5、学习动力的激发:教师要面对全体学生用爱心去打动学生,帮助学生取得成功,营造一种“成功气氛”。对于学习的成功多赏识、多鼓励,促其前进。采用安抚、谅解、宽容的教学方法;多给学生介绍英语国家的历史,风土人情,多讲英语故事、笑话,使学生在风趣、愉快的教学中增加学习兴趣。

6、学法的指导:寓学法于教法之中。培养学生良好的学习习惯,人心所向观察习惯,勤于背诵的习惯、听课前预习的习惯及先复习后做作业的习惯;指导学生听课的方法,根据英语的特点向学生提出听课要求;集中注意力大胆开口,积极思维,做到边听、边看、边说、边想、边记;指导学生掌握科学记忆法。如周期循环记忆法、重复记忆法、比较记忆法、联想记忆法等;指导复习、及时完成作业。在学法指导中要因人而异,鼓励学生间的互相交流,还要善于抓典型,以点带面,以求学生成绩有所提高,提高语言表达能力,提高人文素养,增强实践能力,培养创新精神。

摘要:常言说的好:“良好的开端是成功的一半。”初一英语教学是英语教学的基础,是学生迈向英语学习的第一步,而音标教学对他们学好英语至关重要。只有学会了发音,掌握了发音规律,才有能力背诵单词,才不至于在以后的学习中要老师牵着走。所以教师教学过程中应注意培养学生按照读音规则掌握规律,教会学生音标的认读及拼读和要求学生掌握好音标是学好英语的基础和关键。

学习任何一种语言总是从学习发音开始。简单的说,音标是英语词汇的“拼音”,如同汉字,要读准一个词必须先清楚它的“拼音”。本人觉得我们英语老师应该要注重音标的教学,因为音标的学习水平的高低直接关系到学生学习英语语音、语调和发音的准确性,虽然小学从三年级就开设英语课,但学生对音标的掌握还很差,而且通常音标不会认真地学,老师们在教学时也因为课时问题也不会强调音标,因此学生不会音标,英语学习也困难重重。所以要想学生学的轻松,又可以减轻老师的负担,学生的成绩又提高的快的最好办法就是努力深入研究英语语音教学方法。

一、在教学音标过程中要强化学生对音标重要性认识

学过语文的人都知道汉语拼音的重要性,它是读书、认字的基础,也是今后查阅资料以及提高各方面水平的不可缺少的拐杖。音标在英语中的作用和拼音在汉语中的作用一样,学好音标是学好英语的基础,学习和掌握好音标是初中英语教学的一个重点。所以我们在教学中要重视音标教学。

音标是学习英语的关键,也是练好听说读写的基础与保障,就如同汉语拼音学习一样,汉语拼音学习的好坏,直接影响学生对字词句篇的认读,理解与掌握。学好音标,对学生学好英语具有重要的基础作用。(1)帮助预习生词。学好音标就可以在课前有的放矢,不至于全部依赖老师,提高了学生学习的积极性和主动性,也能提高学生自主学习的能力。(2)帮助记忆生词。因为许多音标的发音都有其固定的组合和读音规则,而且词汇量掌握的多少,直接影响英语的学习,就像金字塔一样,单词就是英语学习的塔基。(3)帮助提高听说能力。就以我校学生为例,许多学生单词发音不太准,甚至在单词后面用汉字给单词注音。单词读不出来,英语的听说也就无法跟上,因此“哑巴”英语就形成了。这严重制约了英语的学习,慢慢地学生就出现了严重的分化,而音标学习是解决这一问题有效途径。

二、音标教学要有计划,循序渐进

在初一阶段,为了赶课时,老师们仅利用一到两节课就学完了48 个音标,时间较短。因此就无法保证学习的效果。许多学生认为音标难学且难记,并且对其很不重视。所以老师们应该对其制定一个长期的教学计划。在这期间要引导学生对48个音标进行分类及合并,区分元音与辅音,如何掌握发音和口形,另外,还要遵循先易后难先少后多原则。

26个字母,学生很熟悉。我们可以先把26个字母的音标教给学生。让学生整体感知音标。再把字母音素分解。如字母X[eks],把音素分解为[e].[k].[s],b[bi:]分解为[b][i:],h[eit∫]分解为[ei][t∫]这样就把七个音标教给了学生,并且容易记住。当他们忘记发音时,可以把它们放回字母里,读出字母的发音,再分解音标。通过26个字母我们至少可以学会24个音素(即/ ei /,/i:/,/aI/,/ ʤ /,/u:/,/e/,/Λ/,/ɑ:/,/p/, /b/, /t/, /d/, /f/, /v/, /s/, /z/, / tʃ /, / əu /, /l/, /m/, /n/, /k/, /j/, /w/),占全部英语音素的一半。在学单个音素同时,让学生不断的练习把任意辅音和元音放在一起拼读。例如学/ei /时,重复练习/ b ei/ / s ei/ / m ei/ d ei/ / ei p/ / ei t/ / t∫ei/ / f ei s/ / k ei t/ 等。练习可以采取教师展示学生拼读和学生之间互相写,练习拼读。在学完字母中包含的24个音标后,再从学生小学掌握的简单单词或初一从前几个单元的单词中把没学过的其余音标抽出来单独学习并练习拼读。即剩下的24个音标[i]、[æ]、[ɔ]、[ɔ:]、[u]、[ə]、[ə:]、[ ɔi ]、[ au ]、[ iə ]、[ ɛə ]、[ uə ]、[ g ]、[ ʃ ]、[ ʒ ]、[ r ]、[ h ]、[ η ]、[ θ ]、[ ð ]、[ ts ]、[ ʣ ]、[ tr ]、[ dr ]。

在第一周学了分散学习了音标的基础上,第二周将音标系统化。英语有四十八个国际音标,其中元音二十个、辅音二十八个。按口型、舌位、发音的长短,把48个音标分成长、短音、双元音、轻辅音、浊辅音,让学生练习发音。元音音素:/ i:/ / e/ /ɑ:/ / ɔ:/ / u:/ / ə:/ / i/ / æ/ /∧/ / ɒ/ / u/ / ə/ / ei/ / ai/ / ɔi/ / iə/ / eə/ / uə/ / əu/ / au/。辅音音素:/ p/ / t/ / k/ / f/ / ϑ/ / s/ /∫/ / h/ / j/ / t∫/ / tr/ / ts/ / b/ / d/ / g/ / v/ / ð/ / z/ /ʒ/ / r/ / w/ / dʒ/ / dr/ / dz/ / l/ / m/ / n/ / ŋ/。

最后综合练习,不断巩固。让学生练习拼读以下音标。1.[ feɪs] 2.[dʒʌmp] 3.[teɪk] 4.[faɪv] 5.['θauzənd] 6.[wɪ'ðaut] 7.[nɔɪz] 8.[trɪk] 9.['verɪ] 10.[fə'get] 11.[weə] 12.[ʃuə] 13.['ju:ʒuə] 14.['stju:dənts ] 15.[lu:z] 16.[tʃi:z] 17.[bə:dz ] 18.[fɪə] 19.['tɔ:tə s] 20.[daun] 21.[faund] 22.[kləuðz] 23.[heɪt] 24.[frɔg] 25.[' hʌr ɪ] 26.[blæk] 27.[plɑ:nt] 28.[θæŋk] 29.[tə'mɔ:rəu] 30.['ɪntrəstɪŋ]

学生在学完音标后需要不断地巩固练习,教师可要求学生每天在预习生词时自己试读,然后教师校对。也可以在每天上课时抽出5分钟有目的、有计划的训练在教学中发现的学生掌握情况不好的音标,直至学生对每个音标掌握熟练,了解发音规则,能正确的看音标识读生词,甚至在没有音标的情况下根据已掌握的规则试读生词。

总之,在音标教学中要有计划,循序渐进。在完成英语字母教学后,把音标和字母结合起来,让学生给每一个字母注上音标,又通过字母的读音来记音标,让学生学会这些字母读音的拼读方法,为以后单词的拼读拼写打下良好的基础。随着教学内容的深入,教会学生单词的拼读规则。如:开音节、闭音节、r音节、re音节、一些字母组合的读音,让学生通过读音和拼读规则来记单词,每次单词听写,让学生把单词的音标写上。只要学生能通过读音来记单词,单词就容易记了。单词记得住,能读、能听、能拼写,学生就不会再怕英语了。“磨刀不误砍柴工”虽然音标教学花去了一定的教学时间,但却起到事半功倍的效果。

三、音标教学要讲究方法

1、利用英语音标和汉语拼音相似之处,进行音标及拼音对比教学

中国人学语音最切实可行的办法就是符合中国国情。学外语不但不能忘掉母语,而且要利用母语去学。学英语语音,不但不能忘掉汉语拼音,而且要利用汉语拼音的正迁移去学。辅音音标[p][b][t][d][k][ ɡ][f][s][z][l][r][h]和汉语拼音的声母p(坡)、b(玻)、(t特)、d(得)、k(科)、ɡ(哥)、f(佛)、s(思)、l(勒)、r(日)、h(喝)从音和形都很相似。这些音素与汉语拼音的发音方法基本一致,可以用记声母的方法记音标。汉语拼音的声母更响亮,音更长。在音标里,辅音音标不响亮,音较短促。汉语中的声母读音如b、p、k、g等读作“玻”“坡”“科”“哥”,其中包含韵母o或e的成分。在发英语的辅音时不要包含元音的成分。所以,只要做一下口型和音长上的变化就很轻松地读出辅音音标。让学生仔细观察,认真模仿,反复操练。对于某些不易发准确的音标,进行讲解和示范。学生一旦摸清了每个音标的发音部位和方法,便感到豁然开朗,兴趣大增。进行英汉对照记忆时,不宜把口型、舌位讲得过细、过复杂。

2、利用例词来教学音标,然后归纳总结发音组合。如教学时,呈现下列例词:

girl[Ə:], sir[Ə :], first[Ə :], dirty[Ə :],fur[ Ə:], turn[Ə :], return[Ə :],work[ Ə:] word[ Ə:], worse[Ə :]worst[Ə :]

3、利用字母发音教学音标

Aa 发[ei], Ee 发[i:], Ii 发[ai],Oo 发[əu],Rr 发[r],Uu 发[ju:]。这些音标学生平时很难区别。利用这种方法,通过多练习音标,学习起来就很有成就感,更能激发其求知欲。

4、利用对比法,音标中有几组音标可以对比教学

[d][t];[p][b];[g][k];[z][s];[m] [n] [l] [η];[f] [v];[ d ] [ds];[t] [ts];[tr ] [dr];[ θ ] [ð ]

在教学中我还尝试过其他方法如:唱歌比赛,书写竞赛,听音辨音游戏,看音标写单词,听音举卡片游戏等。通过开展多种形式的音标教学,学生的积极性得到了激发,音标教学效果较显著。

5、利用多种形式来巩固。学音标时,如果时间长,学生会失去兴趣,此时可以组织一些小活动激发其积极性。

如:(朗读竞赛),例如在教学[u][u:]时,我组织学生进行朗读小诗歌竞赛,诗歌内容如下:

At noon I took a book, And put my foot in the pool, And sat by the pool in the wood, How cool!

如:(游戏),如在教学[i]和[i:]时,给学生展示树上站满许多小鸟的图片,小鸟身上写满了单词:milk, meet, see, key,him , thin , pig, big, three, he, she 让小鸟“飞”回自己的家[i]或[i:]。

四、及时反馈,并给学生积极的评价

音标学习是学习英语重要工具,是叩开英语大门的一把金钥匙。语音教学是一项长期的实践教学。因此,要坚持对学生进行长期的巩固性的语音训练,培养学生长期使用音标的习惯,必须要求学生在预习和复习中充分利用所学的语音知识,提高学习英语的能力。教师要坚持不懈地严格要求学生,不断地纠正发音,认读音标,利用好音标进行教学使学生终生受益。在教学中对待学生要坚持鼓励与表扬为主,讲究纠正语言的错误方法。

总之,灵活地、创造性地学习和研究教学方法,缩短了教学周期,优化了教学结构,减轻了学生负担,使课堂变成富于兴趣、充满活力、学生乐于参与、积极合作、获取知识的乐土,培养了学生学习能力,提高了教学效率。在英语音标教学中,只有针对学生的共同特点和个别差异,因材施教,个性教育,才能更充分地调动学生的自觉性和积极性。既有利于争取大多数学生达到具有灵活认读拼读单词的能力培养要求,又有利于造就一批优秀的人才,让他们主动准确地运用语言进行交际性的活动,这对于早出人才,快出人才,出好人才具有无比深远的意义。
