第一篇:十篇短篇话题英语演讲
1.Brief introduction of Bon Jovi Bon Jovi is an American band which has been famous for hard rock and heavy mental since 1980.They have 5 initial members, but Alec quitted in 1994.Next year they revealed a new album THESE DAYS, which I think is a turning point in their works’ style. After that, their music tends to be mental, soft, something like folk.Their soul lead Jon is an optimistic person, which makes the band a fresh breeze in rock field. No painful anger, no complain, no insincerely cynical view, most of their songs have positive words and energetic tunes.Furthermore, they are also good at balancing the role as stars and the role as artist. They ranked ninth on the selection “the most influential top ten bands on the world” hold by scholars in wall streets and ranked second place on the selection “the best rock bands on the world” given by people around the world.2.Be responsible to your choice, recognize limitation is not ashamed We all tunnel through space and time with behavior and mind consciously or unconsciously to shape life.We may get a panorama of our whole life in higher dimension, which is fixed by what we did, what we met and what we chose.Life is made up by a series of choices, some we regret, and some we’re proud of.Whatever the results are, we have to take the responsibilities following on the heels of choices, to change, to receive, to celebrate or to bear. Here I want to let you realize that bearing is not a coward’s feature, and no one should be shamed for he can bear or receive what he can’t change. On the contrary, they are brave and calm. They have the courage to live with disappointments even desperate situation. It’s wise to recognize individual’s power is limitation and people shouldn’t be cheated by slogan as “nothing is impossible”.Once you tried, whatever the results turned out to be, you have been an admirable person.3.What are real harmful animations? At the beginning of April, more than 1000 Japanese animations were banned on internet because the SARFT(广电总局)thinks that there are some extreme scenes for children.Personally, I think that’s ridicule to define animations as something only for young children.Japan has completed systems of different kind animation works for audience.Japanese make it one of their most successful industries. But in China, we have no ranking system from relevant departments, and we regard Japanese animations are sick only because they contain bloody pictures, twisted mentality and radical ideas with a broad criteria. If we look at domestically produced cartoons like happy sheep and gray wolf, you can also find much stupid unreasonable violence which hide behind the crude work and fool plot.Artistic creation should reflect the complex of human.Banning is not a proper way to solve cultural issues. What Chinese cartoon really need are creation, thoughts, competitions and healthy system, not endless banning.4.Transportation in Japan Thanks to the prosperity of Technology and economic, Transportation in Japan is modern and highly developed. It includes Marine transport, Air transport, Road transportationRail transportation and so on.Transportation in Japan is also very expensive in international comparison, reflecting high tolls and taxes, particularly on automobile transport. There are 1770 km of waterways in Japan, seagoing craft ply all coastal inland seas.Because japan is an island country andmany tourist city in japan are Located in the coastal area such as Yokohama横滨 and Niigata-ken新泻县where Kawabata Yasunari’s川端康成famous novelゆきぐに set in , so going by water can be a good choice. And it has 98 airports. The main domestic hub is Tokyo International Airport(Haneda Airport), Asia's busiest airport and the world's 4th busiest airport;本州(ほんしゅうhoxio to Hakodate函馆,北海道西南部重要港市 or Sapporo札幌 need only 1 hour by plane.Japan has approximately 1,203,600 km of roads.Bus companies including the JR Bus companies operate long-distance bus service on the nation's expanding expressway network. In addition to relatively low fares and deluxe seating, the buses are well utilized because they continue service during the night, when air and train service is limited. In Japan, railways are a major means of passenger transportation.Seven Japan Railways Group companies, state-owned until 1987, cover most parts of Japan.I share some special visiting line here: jrkrushu JR九州 railway it has 9monogatari visiting train show defferent feeling of krushu.second is Odakyu Romancecar from Shinjuku to Hakone新宿到箱根.And last is sleeper train from tokyo's Ueno to Hokkaido东京上野到北海道的卧铺列车,which is popular but hard to book. Most of us know the famous railways Shinkansen(new trunk line)which is a network of high-speed railway lines in Japan operated by four Japan Railways Group companies. The TōkaidōShinkansen(东海道新干线)runs between Tokyo and Osaka is the world's busiest high-speed rail line.It has transported more passengersthan any other high-speed line in the world.By it you can visit Osaka Castle within 3hours after visiting Tokyo Tower.Because of Japanese developed ACG cultural, each line has their anthropomorphism /ænθrəpəˈmɔrˌfɪzəm/拟人.Tram and underground are also prevalent in japan. It’s easy to tell tram’s destination by appear color and find subway’s entrance on streets. It’s easy to find way to modern popular culturepoint, such as Akihabara秋叶原robbongi六本木harajyuku原宿 Ginza银座.In my view, These 4 places can Representdifferent styles of fashion in japan. That’s all, thank you!5.Information fatigue syndrome Information fatigue syndrome(IFS)refers to a new phenomenon, the weariness and stress that result from having to deal with excessive amounts of information. It had emerged as a direct result of the information revolution.Symptoms might include the paralysis of the analytical capacity, constant searches for more information, increased anxietyand sleeplessness, as well as increasing self-doubt in decision-making.For example, for one event different newspapers and websites can hold different views and positions. Thanks for the convenient modern technology they all be sent to our cell phones or computers. With so many ideas before our eyes we will feel confused and try to find out the truth by constantly searching for more information. Then more and more information make us more puzzled and may give up thinking. When it comes to how to solve this problem, I listed 3 suggestions.Firstly, keep a healthy relationship with electrical devices. It means don’t spend too much spare time on internet and when you are online try to make good use of time.Spending more leisure time with friends and families outside is a nice way to get away from massive useless information.Secondly, download applications which can protect your devices from Information pushed by message source.Last but not least, believe what you want to believe under your proper faith.Choose to only look at the reality of these affairs and make comments yourselves.Be a reasonable person, have confirmed moral outlook, follow your real concept and you will never be lost in abyss [əˈbɪs] of Information fatigue syndrome.6.Moral abduction Moral abduction is a kind of behavior which uses the moral as an excuse to force individuals or groups to do something nominal good or measure ordinary people with the saint's standards by making moral an obligation. For example, if someone refuses to be a brave citizen in danger time, then he will be condemned;if someone is supposed to support the Hope Project but he didn’t, then he will be condemned, both of those are moral abduction, although they asked for good aim, because this is not anyone’s duty to be self-sacrifice.“Moral” itself does not have property of “obligation”, “moral obligation” is a logical error and should not exist. It’s unfair to be criticized for being stingy just because you change your wi-fi password to stop your neighbor sharing it without your agreement. Some rich public characters become the main target of moral abduction.Fan Bingbing had refused to join the pro-poor activities, then many newspapers reprinted to attack her heartless. On some international Top Marques, the rich spent money lavishly, thus public medias accused the rich of preferring to squander rather than donate and take the responsibility for the community. The media over reported the private sector behavior, and to bring those individuals reported the pressure that they should not bear.Public figures should to tolerate some certain obligations, but should they give up their right to privacy completely? Sympathy for the weak cannot become the excuse to slander others, from the perspective of property rights, the stars and the rich are clearly have the right to dispose their property freely as long as legal. The reason why moral abduction can succeed easily is the powerful effect of public opinion. Thus there have been forced donation and nonnatural apology.China is a moral society in which people's fear of the moral force is even stronger than their fear of law. Each of us has to face with many kinds of moral abduction.A person on the moral dimension is wrong doesn’t means any kinds of criticize from anyone is reasonable for him, at least the abuse of his personality should be forbidden. However, it’s not to spread egoism, indeed any period will have a mainstream values, and moral is not only a personal matter, the degree of civilization of a society externally manifested as the degree of public respect for and practice of public morals.7.Healthy Sleep We sleep every day, but rarely think deeply about it.Sleep can be divided into two periods: rapid-eye-movement sleep(REM sleep)and non-rapid eye movement sleep(non-rem sleep). The former can protect the brain, relieve emotions and restore energy, while the latter can eliminate fatigue, restore physical strength, enhance immunity, recovery body capacity and promote growth and development.Without normal sleep, we cannot sustain other life activities.Sleep can refresh our minds and improve memory ability.Ensuring adequate sleep time and sleeping efficiently is vital for learning and working.Studies show that lack of sleep can damage our attention, alertness, concentration of mind, reasoning and problem-solving abilities, which easily lead to injuries and accidents.Furthermore, sleep debt can increase the risk of many diseases. We live in a society fulfilled with pressures and difficulty. It is not easy to sleep without any worry, when almost everyone tries so hard to expand the width of life by staying up late. Then, how about the length of life? How about the quality of life? Do you really think career success is more valuable than happy family time and healthy life?
8.The Role of Internet Internet is only a tool, but people who use it confer the character on it.Without exception, everything involves human just tend to be complex. Most time, we find internet like a friend, humorous, heartening and helpful. It shares us all kinds of digital resources we want, keeps our connections over distance and introduces us like-minded friends. It can broaden our horizon, offer a field for diversity and provide an unprecedented convenience for skillful users. Its company dispels loneliness and isolation and brings belonging and satisfaction.Nothing can supply more delight than idling away spare time with a friend like that. However, internet can turn out to be a horrible hypocrite under a mask of friend.Once we are hooked on it, our time is cut into pieces and passes meaninglessly while ourselves feel dizzy on values or faith in the whirlpool of mixed information. We need the ability to distinguish and to select online reasonably with sound mind and within controlled time.Meanwhile, pushing advertisements, copycatting, privacy invading and swindles on net are familiar to almost every modern people. So do not disclose too much in the cyber space.Besides friends and kind strangers, there is still someone with an axe to grind behind the colorful screens and charming IDs.Internet is a hiding crocodile— not everyone will be attacked, but no one can escape from the probability. After all, caution is the parent of safety. In a word, the role of internet depends on how we use it.Both being too slack and being too alert are wrong attitudes. We should manage to avoid disadvantages by strengthening general knowledge, and make internet a convenience instead of a weak point.

Fame—Good or Evil When talking about fame , many people will list its advantages or disadvantages firstly.Very often ,people say that fame can bring celebrity and regards to one and more importantly ,it can help one attract public attention. While other people say that fame is evil for it can make one trapped in it and then destroy his life. However ,does fame itself do these good or bad stuffs ?Maybe our attitudes towards it make the differences.I want to tell you a story that I have known. One afternoon ,the owner of a suit was in a bad mood because he didn’t sell any suit in the whole day.A man went to the store. The owner saw that luck was on his side.He introduced suit carefully and hoped the man could take it.Disppointingly ,he knew that he may lose an opportunity to make a deal unless he use strategy to impress his customer. But he was tired and didn’t want to force the man to leave. As a result ,he passed his business card before the man got out of store. The man read the name printed on the card and said “Chars Walker ,you are the son of Chars.Your father was a good man.I believe you too. Please introduce the suit again.”Finally ,the owner made a big deal.He was so excited that he immediately called his father. His father told him peacefully that it was satisfactory that he had nothing to be left but good reputation.Of course ,every coin has two sides ,and so does fame.Only if we have right attitudes towards fame will we purchase good reputation in order to live a happy life.Fame brings us not only the attention of public but the distinguished reputation which can make the differences on later generations.Above all ,fame play a significant role in one’s life. That’s all what I want to say. Thanks for listening.

No One Can Be Perfect
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.Today I want to tell you a story about one of my friends, a lovely and smart girl who is always ready to help others.Being our grade leader, she is good at both work and study. In many people's opinion, she is excellent and perfect. But one day she told me she was gloomy and insecure.People around her considered her outstanding and flawless, thinking she could handle
everything. But the more she thought about herself, the more disappointed she became. She found that she was far from perfection.Last week, she didn’t do well in her French quiz, and the day before yesterday, she was late for a conference. She felt depressed and frustrated, because she failed to be a perfect girl without any mistakes.I was surprised to hear that for I thought she had every reason to be confident. However, the expectation of perfection has become a burden to her.I told her no one could be perfect and I suggested she find her own position. In fact, people are so eager to be perfect that they demand too muchof
themselves. They want to be special and unique, and they want to have no defects or weaknesses. However, we can never avoid mistakes and errors. It’s impossible for us to be a superman or a superwoman. No matter how successful we are, there are always some flaws. If we hold that everything should be perfect, we would be overcritical. My friend now has changed her attitude. She accepts her shortcomings but still keeps a positive outlook. She is even more active and doesn’t allow the mistakes to hinder her pursuit of excellence. And I think that’s the way we should be!That’s all.Thank you!
Nature--Overpopulation
What is nature? It's everything that exists in the world independently of people, such as pants and animals, earth and rocks, and the weather. Now more and more people are focusing on the nature. It is no doubt that the nature is important to every human being. No nature, no life.Because of the supplies of the nature, we have lived happily for a long time. And we started to gain every thing available from the nature. And this lasted so long a time.Today, people have discovered that the nature around is getting worse and worse. What is threatening the nature? Air and water pollution, overharvesting of plant and animal species, overpopulation and so on.Overpopulation is the biggest source of pollution.Let's take overpopulation as an example. What does overpopulation feel like? When we enter a crowded slum district. When the temperature is high and when the air is thick with dust and smoke. The streets are crowded with people. The streets seem alive with people.People eating.People washing.People talking.People sleeping.People visiting each other, arguing and screaming.People relieving themselves.People pushing their hands through the taxi windows, begging.People leading animals.People, people, people, people. As we drive slowly through the crowd, sounding the taxi's horn, the dust, heat, noise and cooking fires made it like a scene from hell!I admit, frightening. To the nature, overpopulation is a big problem.More people, more pollution. And the big population is threatening the nature every second. The rapid rise in world population is not creating problems only for the
developing countries. The whole world faces the problem that raw materials are being used up at an increasing rate and food production can not keep up with the population increase.People in rich countries make the heaviest demands on the world's resources, its food, fuel and land, and cause the most pollution.A baby born in the United States will use in his lifetime 30 times more of the world's resources than a baby born in India.Unless all the countries of the world take united action to deal with the
population explosion there will be more and more people fighting for a share of less and less land, food and fuel, and the future will bring poverty, misery and war to us all.For most of the developing countries, it is a good idea to control the population growth. For example, China has carried out birth control for years. And this plan has a great effect on the world population. If the population continues to increase, if the air and water continue to be
polluted, if we don't do something to protect wild-plant and wildlife species will be declining.Species and biological communities have difficulty adapting to change.Economic opportunities and the quality of life of future generations are also put at risk.By protecting nature, we protect ourselves.Let's unite together, hand in hand we stand all across the land.We can make this world in which to live.Hand in hand.Control the population growth.Take good care of our nature.Thanksgiving
The poet said: spring flowers to the door pushed open.I said: thanksgiving to the door pushed open the living. If you carefully listen to the voices of flowers, are everywhere harmonious life movements. Then, as a middle school student, how thanksgiving?
First thanksgiving their parents, because everyone's life is a continuation of the
parents of one blood, all of the parents gave us love, let us enjoy the human world of affection and happiness, therefore, we would like to thank the parents.Teachers are our growth(领路人), are our friends, teachers care for us , their words and deeds, let us benefit for life, we pay for teachers efforts and sweat, we should thanksgiving teachers.Students study the lives of our fellow students to encourage each other, help each other, to jointly overcome difficulties and setbacks, the common taste of success and happiness learning, we should be grateful for every day and we accompanied the students.Thanks-giving-fighting, thanks-giving unlimited!Students and society thanksgiving!Let us always to the life caring and full of love and love!
Cherish the water
My dear Teachers, fellow students and friends,As we all know, the earth is a planet almost covered by water, and it is water made every thing on the earth lively.Water is also one of the important part of our environment.Though,is there really so much water for us to clean,to produce many things,to play with? how much water are there on the earth then?
Most of the water is in the oceans or locked away as ice.The largest volumes of fresh water are stored underground as groundwater, imagine there is only one barrel of water in the world, then there is only a spoon of it on the land, and the water we can use is only a drop of it.Now I have to remind all of you here that the single drop of water is never as Clean as before,it has been polluted severely by our human beings. Many human activities and their by-products have the potential to pollute water. Please have a look along the banks of the river, large and small industrial enterprises discharge dirty
water, tons of garbage were thrown into the river, the water contained so much that it can't clean itself.Compared with the dramatic development in many sides of Shanghai, the suzhou river has become a black point of the appearance of city.Fortunately, the government has control the situation now, we are happy to see some parts of the river has become clean again, and we even can find fish sometime. The unique earth is the only planet full of lives, the water is just like the blood in the active body, protecting water is saving ourselves. Not to waste a single drop of water, otherwise, the only drop of water we could keep in the future would be our tear!My dear friends, mankind still faces a great difficulty in solving the problems of the environment and development, and there is a grand task to perform and along way to go.The middle school students in China will always cooperate with the young people of the world to protect the environment.Dream
Good afternoon,boys and girls!
I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech! To begin with ,I want to pop a question.Does everybody dream a good dream last night? Actually ,Today I want to talk about dream with you.Of course, What I want to talk is not a dream you have last night, but a dream about life.Every one has dreams about life, different dreams at different life stage, and we need dreams to support us.Dreams are like the stars we never reach in the sky,but like most mariners,we can chart our course by them. With the dream,we have a direction, with a direction, we were no longer confused. With the dream, there is hope,With hope, we have the strength to fight.Life is tough, and there are always ups and downs, maybe we fail in the way to our aims, and we may feel depressed ,whenever at this time, the dream in our heart can always confort us, encourage us ,and support us to move ahead. So bear in mind your dream and never give up your dream easily.look into the great people’s experiences, you may find the truth that good dream makes a good one, because there is nothing like a dream to create the future and build up our body. Finally ,I would suggest.Have a dream in mind and keep pursuing on it.Try to use your time sensibly, do what you should do to make your dream come ture.Although it is a hard job to get to the top of your dreaming mountain, but as the saying says, “mountain’s high, but man makes the peak”.As long as we keep, we will finally fullfill it.
