从单词到句型再到篇的认读、理解，全面考察了学生的基础知识掌握情况，又考查了学生在本阶段所应具备的英语综合运用能力，基本能对学生的读、写水平做出比较客观的评价。
3、试题形式及版面设计灵活多样，活泼新颖，符合小学生心理发展和学科自身的特点，富有趣味性、启发性、激励性和指导性，有利于学生个性发展。
（二）主要成绩：
1、基础知识和基本知识点落实比较到位。学生能理解简单问题并作答，辨析出不同类的单词，能运用简单的日常用语进行情境交际，判断、选择、回答等题目，学生的得分都是较高的，可见基础知识的教学，老师们都已经给以了较大的重视，加强了单词的背记要求。
2、卷面反映出，85%以上的学生学习态度端正，学习习惯良好，答案书写工整、认真、规范，卷面干净，可见学生良好行为习惯的养成教育和学习基本功训练效果显著。
3、根据成绩统计，有相当一部分学优生各项技能发展均衡，说明教师在教学过程中，充分注重了学生基础知识、基本技能的培养，注重了教学与生活实际相联系，促进了学生创新思维能力、解决问题能力以及良好学习习惯等综合素质的拓展和提升。
（三）存在不足：
1、学生的基础知识掌握比较扎实，但知识的灵活运用能力不够好。名词单复数不分，介词、疑问代词混淆，词组的错误率高于单词的错误率。这提醒了教师在教学中应进一步注重知识的拓展和训练的到位，而不仅仅是记忆知识。
2、学生综合运用语言能力普遍较差。试卷上连词成句要考察学生的语言理解和运用能力，一部分学生对句子意思理解不准确，导致句子排序错误，一句话内词组排序错误，阅读题答非所问等问题。说明学生的语感、理解力、在语境中运用语言的能力均较差。
3、试题中部分单词和少量句子涉及到前册书，卷面反映出学生对以前学过的内容有遗忘现象，教师在教学中要注意对已学知识的复现，有机地把新旧知识组合起来滚动教学。
4、一部分学生的英语学习习惯不好。例如：粗心大意，没有看清题意就匆忙作答。还有一部分学生字母书写不规范，大小写错误，字迹潦草凌乱。甚至有一小部分学困生选择题全部是乱选乱填，全卷得分极低。
5、从得分情况看，学生之间的成绩存在着明显差异，说明教学过程中在各方面，各层次都存在着不均衡和参差不齐现象，因此我们今后的教学工作，要力争面向全体，以每个学生都能得到发展为目标，提高整体成绩。
（四）今后努力方向
1、要继续加大力度顺应课改要求，用新理念、新方法进行教学，在教学中应设计丰富多彩的情境教学活动，便于学生在实践活动中学习英语，体现英语语言性教学特点。
2、在以后的教学中应结合检测试题的导向，以保护学生学英语的自信心，激发对英语的兴趣为目的，采取多样的教学手段，进行灵活多样的巩固练习，分散重点、难点，让学生在轻松快乐的氛围下学习英语，提高教学效率。
3、针对许多学生对于基础知识掌握不牢，运用不足的问题，我们在教学中要狠抓基础，培养能力，为学生打好扎实的语言基础，特别是最基本的词汇、习惯用法和常用句型，要反复训练，做到举一反三。同时加强对单词、句型的检查力度，在听说领先的原则下还要强化读写训练。
4、我们要注重在平时的教学过程中培养提高学生的一些基本能力，如基本的阅读理解能力、正确流利书写的能力，还有加强对学生理解题意和答题技巧的训练。要端正学生的学习态度，培养其良好的习惯，使其发挥应有的水平，取得更为优异的成绩。
