首批 BFT英语教师赴港培训情况报告
7月5日至11日，首批BFT英语教师赴香港培训团到香港理工大学进行了为期一个星期的培训。这次培训时间短，课程安排紧，学员学习认真，收到了较好效果。
一、课程安排紧凑，内容实用。7月5日上午过境，放下行李，就到理工大学看场地，下午两点即开始上课。一直到10号中午12点半，整整5天，每天6个小时，晚上还要观摩教学。学员普遍感到紧张，是一次扎扎实实的培训。这次培训开设的课程有：检讨专业英语教学和特性；探索由一般性至量衣剪裁语言课程的连续性；制定商业英语课程的需要分析及目标程序；评估理工大学专业及商业英语中心的教材及市场上其他的商业英语教材；发展创新商业英语教材技巧；思考一系列商业英语教学方法；分析商业英语的各种评估方法；讨论测试进展的方向等。学员认为，这些课程非常适用，对作好英语教学很有启发。西南财大杨一萍老师的“不枉此行”代表了全体团员的想法。
二、教师责任心强，授课认真，方法灵活，教学效果好。培训班授课教师均为在香港理工大学专业及商业英语中心工作多年的英语专家，他们在英语培训方面有丰富的经验。课堂活动以练为主，以讲解总结为辅，充分调动了学员的积极性，使学员亲身参与到教学活动之中，体现了“学游泳先要下水”的教学方式。同时，授课教师针对学员普遍英语基础较好的特点，采取自编教材和通用教材相结合的办法来安排教学活动，使学员感到有内容、有新意、有压力，时间短，收获大。另外主讲老师语言幽默生动，大量使用形体语言，拉近了和学员的距离，课堂气氛活跃。在讲课时，他们还使用了投影仪、电视、录像等先进设备，老师每讲一节内容，都要将相应教材发到学员手中，减少了学员记笔记的时间，使学员更能集中精力听讲。
三、学员学习的目明确，学习艰苦认真。这批学员都是各院校外语老师，基本素质较好。他们认为，出来就是为了学知识，机会难得，不能辜负组织的希望。在5天上课中，除一人因病实在不能坚持休息半天外，没有一个人缺课。北京语言文化大学外语学院院长方立、同济大学外语系主任汪家树、黑龙江大学外
语系主任石敏、郑州大学外语系主任刘榜离，都具备教授职称，有较高水平，他们以学员的身份跟年轻人一块儿学习，给年轻教师树立虚心学习的好榜样。团里中青年教师多，他们热情高，思维敏捷，上课时积极提问和回答问题，表现了良好的学风。由于生活不适应，到香港后，有几位同志先后生病，一直坚持学习。天津经干院张蔚有一天上午到教室后上吐下泻，被送回了宿舍，下午，她又出现在课堂上。除白天上课外，团里还安排学员晚上到理工大学观摩教师上课，每人一次。华中理工大学孙云梅、中国矿业大学北京校区廖锦瑾等同志为了观摩不同授课对象的教学方法，主动利用三个晚上的时间听课。正是由于学员的刻苦努力，使这次培训取得了好的效果。西南财大王傲霜同志在总结中写到：“这次培训从听、说、读、写四个方面进行了教学，我认为这对我今后的教学非常有帮助。有一些教学思想和教学方法，非常新颖，而且有独创性，若应用到今后的教学中去，对我们的学生是一次飞跃。在这五天里，在写的方面，我获益匪浅。以前的教学，非常强调句式的变化，以及词汇的优美性。通过这次培训，我才发现，在外教的眼里，这两点都不是很重要，重要的是内容、思想，而句式和词汇越简单、越平实越好。通过培训，我还发现自己在许多方面都需要进一步提高，从老师的身上，我学到了许多东西。他们治学的严谨、丰富的教学经验、以及一丝不苟的态度，都令我深深佩服。”
四、团结互助，保证培训顺利完成。全团20人，来自不同的单位，其中女同志13人，大家课上课下互相帮助，未发生任何不愉快的事。团长方立对团员非常关心，谁病了他都要过问，还多次向团员送药。一些女同志担心上街不安全，郑州大学刘榜离老师不辞辛苦，多次利用晚上陪她们出去购物。在回程中，一位女老师行李箱轮子坏了，北京外国语大学韩宝成博士帮她扛着箱子上天桥，过马路，汗水湿透衣衫，没有半点怨言。短短几天，正是这种互帮互助，使团员之间关系融洽，分别时互道珍重，都表示回去后要加强交流和联系。
五、探讨和理工大学合作编写教材。这次到香港理工大学培训，有一个特别任务，就是要和理工大学探讨BFT教材的编写问题。按照局领导的要求，在3—5年内，所有出国培训人员都必须通过BFT初级考试。为此，我们必须编写出一
套适合短期出国培训人员情况的教材。培训开始后，方立教授、韩宝成博士一头扎到理大专业及商业英语中心资料室，翻阅了他们的所有教材、资料，最后拿出了一个以出国培训流程为主线的教材编写计划，并听取了培训班学员的意见，获得了大家的认可。我们原计划该教材由内地老师编写，理工大学审定，最后以外专局培训中心和理工大学专业及商业英语中心的名义在内地出版。经与理工大庄博思博士协商，他完全赞成我们提出的教材编写方案和教材的组织结构。关于合作形式，庄博思博士完全同意两家共同出版，但他比较主张由他们向香港理工大学申请一笔资金，由专业及商业英语中心的教师来完成编写工作。考虑到内地资料缺乏，人员分散，我们也赞同主要由该中心完成该教材的编写工作。
六、关于本次培训团的后续工作。为了进一步扩大此次培训成果，我们责成有关人员按以下四个专题写出书面材料：
A.教学需求分析与教学目标和课程的确定；
B.商业英语教材（包括香港理工大学的教材）的一般性特点，教材编写的技术，如何使用真实性材料等；
C.商业英语教学法；
D.商业英语测试。
上述材料完成后，将采取适当的方式予以介绍。
七、体会和建议
这次培训，效果较好，学员普遍比较满意。我们认为，这一方面是学员自身的素质较高，培训目的明确；另一方面是团里严格要求，管理得当。出境前，我们在深圳进行了预培训。培训中心副主任许华础同志专门到场动员，提出了明确要求。我们还请何国伟同志从香港专程到深圳给学员介绍香港基本情况和注意事项。我们还将学员分两组，指定了组长，学员外出要求结伴而行，并给组长打招呼。通过这些工作，使全团圆满完成了培训任务。我们感到，香港理工大学这个培训渠道是好的，可以作为BFT英语教师的境外培训点。建议今后分期分批组织BFT英语教师赴港培训，进一步提高BFT的师资水平。
