★耐克(Nike):公司名称源自希腊胜利女神奈基(Nike)。
★奥迪(Audi):公司创始人奥古斯特·霍希曾开办过一家名为“霍希”的汽车公司,然而在离开该公司5年后,霍希想重操旧业,碍于原公司还在,他给新公司起名“奥迪”。奥迪是“霍希”这个姓氏德文原意的拉丁文形式。
★家乐福(Carrefour):这家著名超市的前身是位于法国阿讷西市内一个十字路口的小店,carrefour意为“十字路口”。
★思科(Cisco):该词并非首字母缩写,而是取自SanFrancisco(旧金山)一词的最后5个字母。思科的广告标志便是闻名世界的旧金山金门大桥。
