外语对于中国学生来说是一种工具还是一门学问，这是一个老话题。的确，各国语言都有着它自身的文化背景、历史传承和表现形式，这是一门学问。然而对于大多数中国学生甚至大多数外语专业的本科毕业生来说，外语又是一种工具，因此精通某一个专业又擅长外语的“双料”高学历复合型人才在市场上被诸多用人单位竞相争抢。

虽然现今已不再是“外语万能”的年代了，但外语专业的本科毕业生却可以通过跨考其他专业研究生，达到“外语通，路路通”的境界，海天跨考为您一一解读：

英语专业：前方大路宽又多

在中国学生心目中，英语是外语专业的“老大哥”，是绝大多数学生的第一外语。近年来，国际交流日益频繁，精通英语的人才越来越多，市场对商务英语、医疗英语、软件英语等专业度极高的复合型人才需求增大，再学一门其他专业成了大多数英语本科学生的选择。由于英语用途广泛，所以英语系学生跨考可以有多条道路。

一，国贸路

繁华喧闹的“商业街”

“国贸路”，这里指国际贸易专业。近几年来，国际贸易专业一直热度不减，毕业生也越来越多。于是有人开始疑惑：国贸人才市场是不是要饱和了？事实上，据专家分析，我国作为全球第3大出口国，急需大量国贸人才，目前每年国贸人才的缺口都接近60万。所以，国际贸易专业不仅仅是条“商业街”，而且还是一条繁华喧闹、容量巨大、还在持续招商中的“商业街”。

国贸有两只手——英语和经贸，缺一不可。尽管英语专业有经贸英语方向，但想从事外贸工作的英语专业毕业生如果要考研，最好还是首选国际贸易，因为该专业更加符合用人单位的需求，就业前景非常好。以中国人民大学和复旦大学为例，2004级国贸专业硕士生一次就业率达90%以上，就业去向包括会计事务所、证券期货公司、外贸公司等等，其中不乏平安保险公司、中国家用电器进出口公司以及四大国际著名会计事务所等大型企业。

跨考优势：

从专业特点看，国贸作为专为国际投资和国际贸易培养人才而设置的专业，对毕业生的外语水平要求很高。在瞬息万变的国际经济贸易领域，无论是商务谈判、合同签订还是贸易的具体实施，准确地与外商进行交流成了最重要的前提。所以，出色的外语水平是国贸人才必备的素质；

从考研内容看，各校尤其是名校该专业公共课英语的分数线都比其他专业高，如北京大学、对外经贸大学等高校近年来的英语线均为60分，英语成绩成为考试成败的关键因素之一，因此英语专业本科生考研占很大优势。国际贸易专业课考试中的专业英语为3篇文章翻译，共50分，难度较大，历年得分过半者不多，很容易拉开档次；在复试时，要求英语听力口语占50 %以上比重。可见，在听说读写上游刃有余的英语专业学生，跨考国贸专业优势更为明显。

跨考劣势：

英语专业考生在考数学的时候可能会不占优势。数学是极易拉开分差的科目，是否能将数学这条天堑变成通途是决定考研成败的关键。不过国贸专业一般考数四，有些学校考数三(如2005年清华大学)，难度相对较大。因此考生报名前必须仔细阅读各校的考试要求。另外，由于没有系统地学习过经济理论方面的知识，对于宏观、微观经济学等专业课，英语专业的学生也会觉得发怵，这些专业课千万不可小觑。

二，企管路

理性优雅的“中心轴”

“企管路”，这里指企业管理专业。在激烈的市场竞争中，科学有效的管理是保证现代企业长期生存的王道。“企业管理”这条路，就像北京的长安街、巴黎的香榭丽舍大道一样，是城市中最具凝聚力的“中心轴”。

现阶段我国高素质企业管理人才的需求量极大，一直处于供不应求的状态。2006年，上海把企业管理人才与IT人才同时列为最热门行业。而在深圳，2006年的金领世界人才招聘会上，各单位为高级企业管理人才提供的年薪平均为20万，具有英语优势的企业管理人才不仅容易受到外企的青睐，更逐渐成为中国现代化企业对企管人员的基本要求。

跨考优势：

我国的管理学从兴起到逐步成熟完善，走的基本上是移植西方理论然后加以改造的老路，经典的管理理念大多来自西方。考研时，管理学专业课试题会大量涉及西方著作，甚至直接指定英文原文著作作为参考书，如北京大学2005年的指定书目中就有 Options, Futures, and other derivatives Prentice-Hall, Inc.第4版 John C.Hull以及宏观经济学的原版Browns on等等。所以，跨考企业管理专业，英语专业的学生除了在统考英语上有优势外，在专业课的准备上也很有利。即使指定书目中没有原版著作，在考试答题时，不时加几个原版著作中的理论知识，特别能赢得教授们的青睐。

跨考劣势：

管理学要考高等数学，而且一般要求考难度较大的数三(以各校考试要求为准)，这对于早已远离“理科思维”的英语专业学生来说，难度很大。

三，法硕路

快捷便利的“过街天桥”

把法律硕士这条路比作快捷便利的“过街天桥”，原因在于法硕专业的特性——它只接受非法学专业毕业生的报考。于是，在很多对法学感兴趣的外专业学生看来，法硕就是法律专业和自己专业之间的那道“过街天桥”。

近年来，法律行业对“英语+法律”的复合型人才的需要日益迫切。其主要原因是随着国际间贸易交流的频繁，各种涉外案件以及涉外法律咨询的需求日益增多，精通英语和国际法的外事型法律人才显得尤为重要。

跨考优势：

法硕属于专业硕士，全国联考统一命题且不招收法学本专业的学生，所有法硕的考生都站在同一起跑线上。英语专业考生在统考英语中的优势容易凸现出来，优异的英语成绩不仅加大了被录取的几率，而且有时还能为你获得公费名额起到关键作用(如中国政法大学每年公费名额接近40%，按复试加初试总成绩从高到底排名，复试为300分，其中英语内容就有100分，很容易拉开差距)。

跨考劣势：

总的来说，英语专业报考法硕并没有什么明显的劣势。不过，法律学习需要记忆大量的专业基础知识，对汉语表达也有一定的要求，有些英语专业的考生在这方面稍弱于其他文科类专业的考生。

四，新传路

四通八达的“环城路”

现代的新闻传播不再仅仅是记者的采写编评，科技的发展、信息量的剧增、国际化的进程，使得我国的新闻传播具备了多渠道、海量信息、辐射全球的特点。“新传”这条路如同城市中四通八达的“环城路”，只不过这里的“城”指的是“地球城”。

近几年熟练掌握外语的国际化新传人才逐渐成为职场宠儿。世界各国的联系愈发紧密，新闻传播人才必须尽快迈向国际化。而奥运会的临近、各类国际性会议的频频召开更是让具有国际水准的新闻传播人才十分抢手。熟练的英语、专业的采播技术是对这类人才的基本要求，而本科学英语、研究生学新闻传播的组合完全适合这种社会需求。

根据2006年教育部所做一项调查显示，新闻传播专业为全国机关接收毕业生人数最多的十大专业之一。另外，奥林匹克专家易剑东表示：“预计奥运媒体大战会在2006年左右正式启动，在2007年到2008年达到高潮。2006年后，美国媒体巨头NBC为降低转播成本，实现人才本土化，至少在中国聘请上千名工作人员，奥组委新闻部门职员也会扩大到200人以上。”

跨考优势：新闻传播专业不用考数学，英语类考生在统考英语中占很大优势。另外，新闻传播属于实用性强的专业，很多本专业的本科生在毕业后直接选择了工作，考研时本专业考生比例的减少，自然更有利于跨考。

跨考劣势：英语专业的学生习惯于英语的逻辑思维和表达方式，而新闻传播专业则要求很强的汉语语言表达能力和汉语写作功底，新闻系、中文系、历史系等专业在本科阶段多有

这方面的训练，而学英语的学生在这方面略有不足。文字功底主要靠的还是积累，英语跨考生要在这上面多下功夫。
