一、是¥100还是100¥?

此题应选 A。这里涉及使用完整单词和使用符号、字母等情况的词序问题。比较:
这电脑花了我们500美元。
正:The computer cost us 500 dollars.正:The computer cost us $500.误:The computer cost us 500$.我向他借了200英镑。
正:I borrowed 200 pounds from him.正:I borrowed £200 from him.误:I borrowed 200£ from him.类似地,注意以下情况(有的与汉语词序一致,有的不一致):
他上午8:00到达。
正:He arrived at 8:00 in the morning.正:He arrived at 8:00 a.m.水在摄氏100度时开。
正:Water boils at 100 degrees centigrade.正:Water boils at 100℃.他生于公元前234年。
正:He was born in 234 before Christ.正:He was born in 234 B.C.二、是 Yes, I am 还是No, I’ m not?

1.从语法角度看,选项C、D都是错的,因为在通常情况下,在这类简略答语中,Yes后应是肯定回答,No后应是否定回答,而C、D两个选项将肯定和否定混在一起,故可肯定为错误选项。
2.至于A、B两个选项,它们从语法角度看都是对的,但是从实际情况来看,选项A(Yes, I am)是荒唐的:
—Aren’t you asleep? 你还没睡着吗? —Yes, I am.不,我是睡着的。
既然是“睡着的”,又怎么能回答呢? 选项A合语法,但不合情理,不合事实,因此是错误的。注意:由于前面的问句是否定疑问句,所以答句中的Yes 不能直译为“是的”,否则,讲不通。
再来看看选项B(不仅合语法而且也合情理):
—Aren’t you asleep? 你还没睡着吗?
—No, I’m not.是的,我还没睡着。(注意:No 在此不能译为“不”。)
3.类似地,下面这句也是不妥的:
误:I clearly knew that I fell asleep at 10:27 last night.我清楚地知道我昨晚是10点27分入睡的。
此句错在不合事实:因为按照常理,一个人从“醒着”到“睡着”,有一个“朦胧”的过程。当一个人能看手表或闹钟时,他是醒着的;而当一个人要朦朦胧胧进入梦乡时,他又不可能去看表或钟了。
三、“中国的首都在哪里?” —_______ the capital of China? —It’s Beijing.A.What’s B.Where’s C.How’s D.Which’s
此题应选A。但容易误选B,因为从汉语意思看为:
——中国的首都是哪里?
——是北京。
从逻辑上看,北京是中国的首都或者说中国的首都就是北京,而不是说中国的首都在北京(里面),这是逻辑上的一种等价关系,而不是一种包含关系。试比较以下正误句型:
正:—What’s the capital of China? 中国的首都在哪儿?
—Beijing(is)./ It is Beijing.在北京。
误:—Where is the capital of China?
—(It is)in Beijing.但是我们可以说天安门在北京(里面),那是因为天安门只是北京的一个组成部分,它包含在北京范围之内。所以下面一组对话是对的:
正:—Where is Tian An Men Square? 天安门在哪儿?
—(It is)in Beijing.在北京。
注意类似情况:
正:Where do you live? 你住在哪?
正:What’s your address? 你住在哪?
误:Where’s your address?(若此句视为正句,则只能表示:写有你的地址的纸放在哪里?)
四、“她是谁?”

此题应选C。句中的uncle相当汉语于的“舅舅”。这是一道带有智力性质的题目。做这类题除需一定的思维技巧外,还要注意以下各词的多层含义(这与汉语不同):
