This novel was written by Robert Louis Stevenson.He was born on November thirteenth, 1850 and died on December third 1894.He was a famous Scottish novelist, poet, essayist and travel writer and he has great influence on English literature.

This novel mainly describe a famous and intelligent physician who turns into a evil man after taking a drug , intended to separate evil from good in a personality.Dr.Jekyll is the main character of this novel.he is known as an acknowledgeable and respectable man in London.Lots of people thought that Dr.Jekyll is nearly a perfect man for what he dose good deeds and cures the pain of his patient.He owned the good fame for what good deeds he has done.But in his inner heart he always feels tired of what role he has acted as.He wants to change himself ,so he does something evil to set free himself.he dreams to do evil things to make himself feel comfortable.To be another man is the crazy dream for Jekyll.so he mixes some drugs and powder together to make new drugs.After taking this new medicine he becomes an ugly, small and deformed man named Mr.Hyde.Being an evil man, he can does some evil things, where as Hyde was still young and energetic.so he begins his life of evil.During this time, Hyde was looked on as a blackmailer even a murder.he could not get rid of the police who are searing for him

everywhere.So he was forced to be Jekyll again.For he takes much medicine, he always changes himself between Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde.Finally ,his strong desire to do evil things controls himself mostly.he can change himself to be Hyde naturally and unconsciously, which makes him suffered too much.some times he nearly becomes evil Hyde when he talked with friend Utterson and his mails there was a time when two-ness of men.he wished deeply to separate these two men of good and evil inside him.Utterson is a good friend of Mr.Jekyll, he is curious about what he heard from Richard.So he spends lots of time in collect information about Jekyll and Hyde.this is a long time for him.After both Jekyll and Lanyon died, Utterson read the two letters written by Jekyll and Lanyon.Finally Utterson knows well about the complex things of his two friends.he knows the evil things Jekyll have done and the true feelings of Jekyll.He knows the surprising thing that Lanyon have saw.The secret and complicated things become bright for Utterson.however;he could do nothing but keep up the good fame for his good friend.After reading this novel, I feel very shock about what Jekyll have done and though.He has good fame and good social position

There is a devil lives in our hearts.Sometimes our happiness stems from others' misfortune.This makes us feel shamed.Every now and then I wonder whether there is a method that can remove the devil from our hearts.In this way, the evil part of me won't feel shamed, meanwhile, the good part of me won't get happiness from others' misfortune.After reading this novella entitled “Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde”, I think it's better to shut down this bad idea.This novella is written by the famous Scottish author, Robert Louis Stevenson.It is about a London lawyer named John Gabriel Utterson who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr.Hey Jekyll and the evil Edward Hyde.Dr.Hey Jekyll was a scientist who was always considered as a serious, hard-working doctor.Behind this character, however, he was an active, fun-loving young man-about-town.He had spent most of his life trying to remove the devil from his heart which was not fitting for a man of his stature.After much thought, he finally decided to create a drug that could give each side of his character it's own separate face and body.Then, he bravely drank the drug and successfully transformed himself into the smaller, younger, cruel, remorseless, evil Edward Hyde.Dr.Jekyll enjoyed his secret very much--but not for ever after.As time went by, Mr.Hyde grew in power.After taking the drug repetitively, Dr.Jekyll no longer needed to use the drug to relief his devil.Eventually, Mr.Hyde grew so strong that Dr.Jekyll had to rely on the drug to remain himself.He first injured a child in street, then beat Sir Danvers to death for no reason.Realizing he would soon become Hyde forever, Dr.Jekyll left behind a confession and commit suicide.Generally speaking, every man has two sides to his character.Just like Dr.Jekyll was a serious, hard-working doctor which concealed a irresponsible man who pleasured around underneath.Dr.Jekyll had noticed it quiet well, but he should have known that a normal people could not be two people live uncomfortably together in the same body.It sounds more like “dual personalities”.Feeling complacent about his creation, Dr.Jekyll didn't notice that he was trapped.Before the experiment, Dr.Jekyll was just a double-dealer.And after it, he became a person with dual personalities.Each personality wanted to control the body.Unfortunately, good didn't prevail over evil.Dr.Jekyll grew weak while Mr.Hyde grew powerful.Actually, the two sides of a person have well defined power and responsibility, mutual coordination and restraint.They know the appropriate time and situation to behave themselves.You can be serious at work with a character likes Dr.Jekyll and have your private life as crazy as you want.This is nothing to be ashamed of, but Dr.Jekyll didn't realize it at that time.During the one-month internship, I have noticed that there are a great numbers of teachers wear a double face.They treat students strictly, meanwhile, they are quite friendly with their collogues and parents of students.This makes their life much easier.Everyone plays different roles in different situations.We needn't to shame about it.The double-dealers can always gain advantage from both sides and live well.When Dr.Jekyll took the drug and devided into two person, this tragedy is waiting to happen.The two person are quite simply.Dr.Jekyll shared no effort to do good and Mr.Hyde committed all manner of evil.Through the death of Dr.Jekyll/Mr.Hyde, the author tried to expound his point: If you can't rein in your devil, you would be punished at last.In the unknown corner of people's deepest heart, good coexists with evil.In the story of deers and wolves, people simply thought that deers could live better without wolves.As a matter of fact, deers could not live without wolves.They maintained an appropriate balance in the forest.But for the chasing of wolves, deers couldn't be strong and healthy.Similarly, when separated, the good side of Dr.Jekyll became weaker and weaker.Instead, the evil side of him became stronger and stronger without the restraint of the good side.But the evil side, Mr.Hyde couldn't live without Dr.Jekyll, because they shared a body.So when Dr.Jekyll committed suicide, Mr.Hyde dead,too.It is too late for Dr.Jekyll to realize that having two characters is nothing to be ashamed of.But I learned a lot from this novella.There is a “Jekyll” and a “Hyde” in everybody.I will face up to my desires and try to strengthen heart for good to defeat the devil.Nothing is difficult in the world for one who sets his mind to do it.篇三：化身博士读后感

First, we should correct the idea that we can kill off the evil side.Instead, we should acknowledge it, and then make the good side power by developing good habits step by step.We are educated citizens living in this beautiful planet.We are the hope in the future.We know what is right and what is wrong, and we have the obligations to regulate our behavior in accordance with the code of ethics.When we are doing things, we should consider whether it is morally right.Make this consideration a habit.Second, pay more attention to self-cultivation and adjusting attitude at any time in any place.In the course of human events, we have experienced the dark days of hard-working, when people work the whole day and the whole night like a crow without a short time of rest.Such a horrible life has gone forever.Third, release bad emotions as soon as possible.Unhealthy emotions can not be avoided, but we can release it through some healthy ways, such as running, playing sports, talking with others and so on.The more depression we hide, the more split personalities we tend to have.It is just the stimulation of the depression that causes many people totally become evil.Last but not least, don’t emphasize too much on the gain and loss of personal interests.In this colorful world, there exist various kinds of personal interests, especially pecuniary interest.I really learn a lot from the book “Dr Jekyll and Mr.Hyde”.It is a warning for us to review our behavior.The future is bright, but road is tortuous.In order to grow healthily, we’d better drop the bad behavior and bad attitude.Every thing can be settled, only if we have the determination.

This book was titled “The Strange Case of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde” as its original.It is a novella written by the Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson first published in 1886.This novella is about a London lawyer Mr.Utterson who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr Henry Jekyll, and the misanthropic man Edward Hyde.Dr Jekyll has discovered the ultimate drug.A chemical that can turn him into something else.Suddenly, he can unleash his deepest cruelties in the guise of the sinister Hyde.Transforming himself at will, he roams the streets of fog-bound London as his monstrous alter-ego.It seems he is master of his fate.It seems he is in complete control.But soon he discovers that his double life comes at a hideous price.With the incessant conversion, Dr Jekyll finds himself losing his own prime of life over the hand of Mr Hyde.He begins to overcommit the therapy to help him hold the fate and it only makes him weaker coram the other face in his heart.To defeat his last despair, the proud doctor ends up this disaster in a raging flame.The work is known for its vivid portrayal of the psychopathology of a split personality;in mainstream culture the very phrase “Jekyll and Hyde” has come to signify wild or polar behaviour.First time reading this book gave me a hard time understanding what was happening in the book.There were lots of things happened and it was not that easy to see the relevance between each other as the author had been trying hard to leave only ambiguous trails.However, this feeling of tasting the desire of discovery binds me to the book.As the story going further, the feeling of freashness slowly faded away, however another thing make me wonder--as to a human live with the fierce conflict of both good and evil sides, what would be his end.To be exact, what would he do in the continuing story and what would he become in the end of this tragedy.And for once, is this split fo humanity a representation of the nature of human-being, a special case that created by literature or somehing that warns us to look under our shields.For centuries, people are dedicating on erasing the bad side of any form in this world.Henry Jekyll is obviously a successful example in the human society.He is smart, handsome, merciful and well-educated.He is nearly prefection.Though it's said that every prefection has its blemish, this time, it is not the case.When Dr.Jekyll drunk his potion first time and became Mr.Hyde, there were enough time to stop the transforming and get himself under control by using the antidote.And he didn't do anything to stop for he wanted to taste a different power, even if the power is tought to be evil in the human knowledge, to fill a gap in his prefect life.Comparing to the brilliant Dr.Jekyll, Mr.Hyde is ugly, cruel and original wild.The dark Hyde is more like uncivilized human while Jekyll represent the civilized people.Civilization is always the sign of evolution.Then here comes a question: Why the evolved admire the unevolved?

Either in old and modern time, this phenomenon seems like a common sight.There has always been crimes come from the best educational system.We can understand crimes that commited by people who are from a lower class or who have psychic trauma in their early age, but how can we explain the ones commited by those who have a wonderful life.Some say that those people are simplely freak and they just have the eagerness to do it.I agree that they have the eagerness, then where this eagerness comes from.In my opinion,maybe they have a lack of the unprefection.We

image a theoretical eternal stabile status to be the end of any evolutionary system and we forget that this status is unstabile itself for it loses its match on the other side of libration.Once a side of the seesaw is lost, the other must go and find the balance at any cost.That is the same thing happened to Dr.Jekyll--to find the balance of life and to see what it is like.So Mr.Hyde may be used by Dr.Jekyll as the tool to recognize the world and himself, merely, Hyde grabs the chance and gets his control over Dr.Jekyll.To conclude, nothing will be exist alone in this universe and nothing can be.There is a saying that light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong;no matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.
