The fate of the tragedy

《哈姆雷特》书评
《哈姆雷特》是莎士比亚扬名后世的最主要的作品，是他在戏剧艺术和人文思想达到最成熟的作品，在各个方面都体现了莎士比亚思想，因此成为了世界戏剧的典范。
故事主要讲述了丹麦王子哈姆雷特因为父王突然去世，怀着悲痛的心情从德国回到祖国。后来母后和新王——哈姆雷特的叔叔克劳迪斯结婚，更使他感到难过。这时，父王的灵魂出现并告诉哈姆雷特，是新王杀死自己并叮嘱他要为父报仇。哈姆雷特借助一个戏班子进宫演出的机会，改编一出阴谋杀兄的旧戏《贡扎古之死》，让戏班子演出以试探克劳迪斯。克劳迪斯做贼心虚，仓皇退席的行为让哈姆雷特相信了克劳迪斯的罪行属实。
克劳迪斯知道事已败露，就利用哈姆雷特的情人奥菲利亚的哥哥雷欧提斯跟哈姆雷特决斗的机会，在雷欧提斯的剑上涂上毒药，同时准备了毒药，以便将哈姆雷特除掉。最后，哈姆雷特和雷欧提斯都中了毒剑，王后饮了毒酒，奸王克劳迪斯也被哈姆雷特刺死了。
《哈姆雷特》的故事发生在丹麦，却暗含着英国本身日趋尖锐的社会矛盾。悲剧已开始，读者就看到宫廷内内外外的混乱：老国王刚死，新王就和嫂子结婚，婚礼还要紧接着老国王的丧礼；大军压境，宫廷里却通宵达旦地酗酒作乐；老百姓群情激愤，波罗涅斯的儿子号召大批民众向王宫杀去。因此哈姆雷特说：“世界是一所很大的牢狱，里面有许多牢房、囚室、地牢，而丹麦是最坏的一间。”莎士比亚以此来影射由盛转衰的当时的英国。《哈姆雷特》里面的情节丰富生动，描写当时封建王朝的专制暴虐、挥霍浪费和颠倒混乱，使得民怨四起，王室和新兴资产阶级的矛盾越来越尖锐。
除了情节描写精彩，《哈姆雷特》的人物描写也十分细致。《哈姆雷特》中人物众多，但各有鲜明的性格特征。比如新王克劳迪斯是代表封建旧势力的阴谋家，是个“脸上堆着笑的万恶的奸贼”，表面上和和气气，实际上凶残无比。他表面上借口护送哈姆雷特到英国，背后却写密信让英王杀掉他；新婚上看见哈姆雷特穿着丧服，脸上就阴云密布，心神不安；观看戏剧时做贼心虚匆匆退席的所有描写都入木三分，深刻地刻画出他疑神疑鬼，凶残可恶的封建君主的形象。
马克思点评：“《哈姆雷特》的最大特点，即在于该剧形象地反映出了‘莎士比亚’的主要特点，即现实主义和形象思维的方法。”莎士比亚擅长用生动起伏的情节来反映生活，用丰富的对话和独白来刻画人物性格，流露出人物的思想，表达出自己的观点。《哈姆雷特》以哈姆雷特为父报仇为主线，配以其他情节，展现出一个时代的思想变革的要求。因此我认为《哈姆雷特》绝对是我们大学生了解外国历史、拓宽自身的眼界、丰富自己的思想的必看书籍。

Have you ever experienced the misfortune which changed your life completely? Imagine that everything around you is changed suddenly and you have to assume the hardly bearable responsibility to defend the justice, what will you do? Hamlet, the prince of Denmark, accomplished a great transmutation after experiencing multiple woes.His life had ever been filled with happiness and love.However, everything changed after an unexpected misfortune—His father died suddenly.Hamlet went back home in a hurry from Germany to attend his father’s funeral.Ridiculously, he failed to catch up with his father’s funeral, but witnessed the wedding ceremony of his mother and his uncle Claudius, the new king.Hamlet felt shamed and bitter, he began to know the darkness of the world.It turned worse after Hamlet met his father’s ghost, who told him that his uncle was the murderer and wanted him to revenge for his father.Then, Hamlet’s world turned into complete darkness.He felt hopeless and didn’t trust in anyone.He grew weary of the world, which seemed to him a weeded garden, where all the flowers were chocked up, and nothing but weeds could thrive.“To be or not to be, that’s a question”.(Act III.i.56)
