高三英语作文:Happiness
Someone asks me what on earth happiness means? I can't give you the exact definition of it, but I'm sure if you love and help others, you'll get it..I'll never forget an old lady. She lives in a small house alone. It's said that her husband and her son died in a traffic accident. How bitter her life is!But the old lady often helps others with a smile.Whenever it snows, she is always the first to clean the paths. She looks after several children living nearby.I am one of them.I often remember the stories she told us and her kind smile.Perhaps she is unlucky, but I think she is a happy person. Her life is full of laughter and love. But I'm sad to see some people getting their happiness in bad ways. They speak loudly in cinemas and meeting rooms;they destroy trees to enjoy themselves and they laugh at others' shortcomings.Perhaps they feel happy at that time, but they will never get true happiness because they have lost their personality. Now I know what happiness is.It means kindness, love and unselfishness.Above all, only bringing happiness to others can make you yourself get it.
第二篇:On Happiness关于幸福的英语作文
On Happiness With a rapidly-growing of the overall national strength in recent years, the quality of people's daily life is increasingly improving day by day.Inevitably, the roar of “The sense of happiness” has stirred a fervent discussion.According to some surveys from CCTV,we can find out different people hold dissimilar viewpoints about how to definite real happiness. For instance, scientists always believe human beings can obtain the sense of happiness only if they reflect in a rational way. While saving those suffering from disease is considered as the root of happiness by medical personnel. In addition. It is blissful for common people that they have a family filled with love and understanding in a stable and harmonious society.Based on the above examples, maybe we can draw a conclusion that happiness is getting something what everybody needs most.As G.Bernard Shaw said,“Happy is the man who is living by his hobby.” However, the fact is that people are no longer content with being fed and clothed adequately along with the improvement of living standards in this complex society. So they are more concerned about how to enhance their sense of happiness. From my persepective, first of all,we should alter original concept that enhancing the sense of happiness is equal to improving one's material living standards.Instead, with a keerect value, people are supposed to confront their life with right attitude,to be active and grateful in order to have a happy life.money does buy happiness, but only up to the point where it enables one to live relaxedly and comfortably. To boost one's sense of happiness not only needs the material but also the spiritual enrichment. As for me,the premise of the happiness encompasses living a meaningful life with a deedy attitude, rational reflection and the spirit of devotion. All in all,Happiness is not out of reach as long as we dare to pursue.
第三篇:英语演讲稿:The Road to Happiness
The Road to Happiness
It is a commonplace among moralists that you cannot get happiness by pursuing it.This is only true if you pursue it unwisely.Gamblers at Monte Carlo are pursuing money, and most of them lose it instead, but there are other ways of pursuing money, which often succeed. So it is with happiness. If you pursue it by means of drink, you are forgetting the hangover.Epicurus pursued it by living only in congenial society and eating only dry bread, supplemented by a little cheese on feast days. His method proved successful in his case, but he was a valetudinarian, and most people would need something more vigorous. For most people, the pursuit of happiness, unless supplemented in various ways, is too abstract and theoretical to be adequate as a personal rule of life. But I think that whatever personal rule of life you may choose it should not, except in rare and heroic cases, be incompatible with happiness. If you look around at the men and women whom you can call happy, you will see that they all have certain things in common. The most important of these things is an activity which at most gradually builds up something that you are glad to see coming into existence.Women who take an instinctive pleasure in their children can get this kind of satisfaction out of bringing up a family.Artists and authors and men of science get happiness in this way if their own work seems good to them. But there are many humbler forms of the same kind of pleasure. Many men who spend their working life in the city devote their weekends to voluntary and unremunerated toil in their gardens, and when the spring comes, they experience all the joys of having created beauty. The whole subject of happiness has, in my opinion, been treated too solemnly. It had been thought that man cannot be happy without a theory of life or a religion.perhaps those who have been rendered unhappy by a bad theory may need a better theory to help them to recover, just as you may need a tonic when you have been ill.But when things are normal a man should be healthy without a tonic and happy without a theory. It is the simple things that really matter. If a man delights in his wife and children, has success in work, and finds pleasure in the alternation of day and night, spring and autumn, he will be happy whatever his philosophy may be.If, on the other hand, he finds his wife fateful, his children’s noise unendurable, and the office a nightmare;if in the daytime he longs for night, and at night sighs for the light of day, then what he needs is not a new philosophy but a new regimen--a different diet, or more exercise, or what not.Man is an animal, and his happiness depends on his physiology more than he likes to think. This is a humble conclusion, but I cannot make myself disbelieve it.Unhappy businessmen, I am convinced, would increase their happiness more by walking six miles every day than by any conceivable change of philosophy.Thangk you.
第四篇:英语作文 The most precious thing --Happiness
Happiness, as one of the most beautiful words in every language, attract a chunk of people to pursuit it.But what’s the mean of happiness, why so many people spare no effort to seek happiness and how to pursuit happiness in daily life. The sample questions take me to lost in thoughts.Firstly, From a professional point of view, I think happiness is changing in Three-dimensional, it means the felling of happiness is changing in time, space and different people. In our daily life we can apply this theory to explain it.For example, when I was a little kid, happiness means playing with my friends without mom’s nags. After several years’ school life, understanding of happiness was changing and had a highest score in an exam made me happy and proud. Now, as a postgraduate student whose one foot already step into society and bears lots of pressures from my family, academy, life...I am very treasure a temporary moment rest without considering, so taking a travel with my lover must be the most happy time. For different people, happiness

In my view, helping others is a kind of happiness. Although it's not easy to do,l feel happy from it.When somebody is in trouble. I always help him figure out the problem. And we both enrich our minds and learn a lot.
Some people may think that money is happiness. But l don't agree with them. It's true that you can do lots of things you want to do and realize your dream more easily with money. However, money is not everything. People can live a wonderful life without money. Thomas Edison was really poor in his childhood. But he studied very hard and became an well-known inventor eventually.
As a student, our job is to study hard. We can find happiness from it. For example, reading books can bring us a lot of fun and happiness.
The hard we study, more happiness we will find. And we will have a better life in the future!
作者:Alexande篇2:happiness作文
Happiness
What is happiness? Different people have different ideas。 Some people are rich; they think they are happy。 Other people have many friends, so they feel happy。 Still others are happy because their lives are meaningful。 Happiness attracts(吸引) everyone。 For children, happiness often suggests eating something good or playing with toys。 For a stamp collector, stamps bring more delight than meals。 And for a scientist, a discovery or an invention rather than anything else gives him greatest satisfaction。
There was once a beggar who was always happy。 The king saw him and wondered why he was so happy because he was so poor。 However, the king could have whatever he wanted; yet he himself was not happy at all。 Thus we can see one’s happiness doesn’t depend on whether he is rich or poor。 Happiness is a state of mind。 As long as one thinks he’s content and satisfied, he is happy。
As everything exist only because its opposite(对立的), happiness exists only when pain exists。 Just as a person who does not know failure never knows success, a person, who has not experienced suffering or sadness never knows what happiness means。
Happiness always promises (允诺) a hope by which people go on living。 When they e to the point of losing hope because they have suffered a great deal, it is often the time when happiness es that will give them the courage and desire(渴望) to live。
Cheer up and be happy。 Happiness is not far from you。 It’s just around you。 Try to grasp(抓牢) it and enjoy it。
篇3:happiness作文
Happiness exists everywhere。 Everyone has a different definition to the true meaning of happiness。 Some people think possessing a great deal of money is the secret to happiness, while others feel giving aid to others makes them happy。 I approve of the latter there are many poor people in our society, and we can contribute some money to charities to help them。 When the poor receive our assistance, their lives will improve。 Smiles will appear on their faces, and this is the best reward we can get from helping others。 Regardless of gratitude of price, we should help others from the depths of our hearts。 When we see their happy smiles, we will be happy as well。 So I think that true happiness es from the mind。
篇4:happiness作文
Happiness is the most precious thing in the world, which can be obtained in different ways。
From my point of view, being in a good mood anytime and anywhere is the first thing for those who want to be happy。 There is an old saying going like this, “happy is he who is content。” I can't agree with it any more。 I still remember a story my mother told me when I was a child。 A millionaire tried every means to seek after pleasure but to feel unhappy。 It's not unique, but has its counterpart that poor men to whose name not having a thing always feel happy。 Why are they so different? The answer is that the rich is being thinking how he can gain more while the poor is satisfied with what he owns at hand-health, freedom, love and so on。
Furthermore, love makes great difference to happiness。 If you have love in your heart, you will have happiness in your life。 Love consists of two parts, one is to love others, and the other is to be loved by others。 Lei Feng set a good example for all of us。 He served the people wholeheartedly until the last minute of his life。 He regarded serving the people as the happiest thing。 There are numbers of similar inspirational stories to be found。 In addition, being loved by others can also lead you to happiness。 Courage from your parents when frustrated, care from your lover when ill, help from your friends when in trouble… all of these will make you the happiest person in the world。
The last but not least is to act happily。 Putting on a happy face and thinking interesting things are helpful to trigger happy feelings。
Wile happiness is precious, it is easy to get。

篇10:Happiness的英语作文
When people ask me what is happiness for me, I would say that is to achieve the great success and earn a lot of money two years ago, but one thing changes my viewpoint about it. One year ago, my uncle got sick badly, and he had to stay in the hospital for one month. My uncle worked very hard and he made a lot of money and everybody wanted to be as successful as him. However, the doctor said it was the irregular work and rest that made my uncle got sick, and he needed to slow down and took a good rest. Since then, my uncle realized the time to spend with families was the great happiness for him. He was no longer addicted to working. My uncle changes my idea about happiness. Families come first, no matter what we do.

I am a small girl and live in an ordinary family.
I have many friends and we always play together. We talk about everything and share our happiness and sorrow. Though my parents are not rich, they care me all the time.
When I need them, they will stand by my side. I am so lucky to have the happy life and I am so thankful to it.
篇13:Happiness的英语作文
In this long journey we call “life”, everybody is in pursuit of happiness and has their own interpretation of happiness. An inspiring idea is that happiness is not the absence of problems, but the ability to deal with them, which reveals the very truth about happiness. It cannot be achieved through waiting, but only through striving.
There is no way that life always progresses as we wish. Problems may occur and we find ourselves in trouble, but it doesn't mean we are deprived of happiness. There are numerous examples for us to follow: disabled people overcoming obstacles, patients fighting against disease, poverty-stricken people achieving their dreams -- all these inspiring heroes. Their lives are definitely not problem-free, but they have found happiness by courageously solving problems.
Therefore, it is essential to develop the ability to deal with problems. We need to muster our courage and confidence to face the fact. Meanwhile, we need to find effective ways to cope with them.
In a word, if we stay strong and approach problems effectively, there will be no storm in life that we cannot weather. And after the storm, happiness is within our reach.
篇14:Happiness的英语作文
Fate is a hand made the world as changeable as clouds and rain, the legend.Life, like a dream of a flashy, consisting of two parallel lines never intersect.Because life is not arithmetic, so many times there is no right answer, just as you never know what the next bus stop will come up, what happened, who and who crowned the life of supporting role. The happiest days of life are nothing but two periods, childhood and youth, and the feeling of coexistence in these two days is the source of the poet's love......
In my happiest days, never have you.Xiao .
When I was young, I remember your hands, I hold on the infinite future repan.Your hands in my meal to eat in a mouthful to feed me; your hands gently in my insomnia; your hands in my bag is too heavy to carry the past to grab your hands; it contains the beauty of love from Wu throb to rough sallow now today, the achievements of my gratitude.I said you loved me with your hands, but you dropped your eyes and shook your head, saying it was far from enough. But I really feel like I'm standing on your hands.
In primary school, I remember your eyes, which brought me the most passionate love.Your eyes gave me a cool spring as the sea on a hot summer night; your eyes gave me the most ardent expectation; your eyes made a crescent moon in my success, giving me the most lasting impetus.I say you love me by eyes, you helpless smile, looked at me silently, brow a little more spoiled.I know this is not the right answer, but I really feel that your eyes taught me so much, that I know how to look at to accept the secular vision and keep calm water in the reality of the attitude, more let me feel your love make painstaking efforts to return.
Until now, I realized that you loved me with your whole body. You would touch my cheek with both hands; you would give me warmth and solidity with your eyes; you would kiss my forehead with your mouth......You said I was a daughter, I know I'm everything to you.Wrote here less than a word, have moved to tears. Now, I understand this great mother's love, and here I should say: “Mom, hard work!”"
Thank you for not being absent from my growth, and telling me that you will still be with me for the next few decades.Your love turns into a sound in my ear. A life can grow stronger with love. We all enjoy the best thing in the world -- a mother's love.
Your kindness, beauty and simplicity, as well as ordinary love, have illuminated the days when I was happy for you.
It's good to have you.
篇15:Happiness的英语作文
In this society, nobody can live without money. It seems everything we need will use money to acquire. Then, here comes the question, can money buy happiness? Some people say that money is the source of happiness. With enough money, people can go to the places they never been, buy the things they ever want. So, they come to the conclusion that money is everything. It can buy happiness. And it’s also the resource of happiness. However, in my humble opinion, money can not buy everything, happiness is not all the thing that money can buy.
There is no denying that money is useful. The chief thing to remember is we must be the owners of money, not to be the slaves of money. We must let the money to work for us. If we don’t have the right attitude toward to money, we may be in big trouble. Countless people break the laws because of money. In this case, you can not live in happiness. Just as the old saying goes, money cann’t buy everything, but without money, you can do nothing. Only with the proper use, money can bring us happiness.
篇16:Happiness的英语作文
as is vividly depicted in the cartoon, a boy is contemplating the true meaning of true meaning of happiness. it is indeed a tough question for him: what on earth is happiness? he is puzzled as to in which circumstance he will feel happy-when he makes money, or wins true love, or is in good health, or what?it is obvious that happiness is difficult to define. we all know people who have a relatively easy and comfortable life, and yet are essentially unhappy. and we may also have friends who have suffered a great deal but generally remain happy. therefore, happiness is actually of one’s own making. if you have a positive attitude and are determined to find the little happiness of life, you are destined to be jolly, no matter what kind of situation you are in.
happiness is an attitude, not a condition. it lies in the struggle to be happy. people sometimes go to extremes and frantically pursue money, power, high social status, etc., which are all symbols of success-but never of happiness. perhaps if they shifted their goal from ultimate success to unswerving efforts and to confidence that they will be successful one day, they’d be a great deal happier
篇17:Happiness的英语作文
Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling five balls in the air. You name them: work, family, health, friends, and spirit, and you're keeping all of them in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls--family, health, friends, and spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged, or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life.
How? Don't undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special. Don't set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you. Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would your life, for without them, life is meaningless. Don't le t life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future. By living your life one day at a time you live ALL the days of your life. Don't give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying. Don't be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect. It is this fragile thread that binds us together. Don't be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn to be brave. Don't shut love out of your life by saying it's impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly; and the best way to keep love is to give it wings. Don't run thruogh life so fast that you forget not only where you've been, but also where you are going. Don't forget that a person's greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated. Don't use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.
