How to Prepare for a Job
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.I am glad to be here giving my speech. My topic is how to prepare for a job.As more and more students have applied for one position by holding their identical resumes——including their major and experience, employers have determined to evaluate the employee through job interview. So it is very important to know how to sell yourself in order to get the job you want. After all, you will never get a second chance to make a first impression. Here are several tips for you.First of all, you can surf the internet or go to the library to find some information about your major and the special interview skills.Besides, you can ask the predecessors(前辈), your friends or teachers for some advise, especially those who had managed to work in the field for the experience.Try to learn something invaluable and revise your resume to be a brilliant one.Second, you should learn more specific matters about the history of the company, including its development, the position in the market, and its needs. You can really make a difference if you know more about the company.Third, be confident.Dress conservatively and well, and you'll look like you're going to the top.Next, communicate clearly.Consider each question carefully and respond with honesty.Remember to make eye
contact and keep good posture and have a positive attitude. It's important to appear confident of your ability and optimistic about the future. After the interview, don’t forget to send a friendly email to thank the interviewer for his or her time and consideration, as well as restating your interest and commitment to the position. If you don’t hear anything after one week, call politely to ask when they will be making a final decision.Remember to keep this in mind: Every interview is a valuable learning experience.Even if you don’t get this particular job, when the next interview rolls around, you’ll be much better prepared and more confident.I believe that one day you will get the job you want.Good luck to you all!
That’s all of my speech.Thank you very much.
