《丁香花语》对我的震撼--思考农村小学英语写作的问题与对策
无意间看到了一本清华附小学生英语作品集《丁香花语》，这是老师们精心收集起来的学生们用英语表达自己心声的作品集。孩子们所谈论的话题丰富多彩，从一年级小学生的单词作品，到中、高年级学生精心撰写的中长语篇，英语、图画都成为孩子们描写自己生活、表达自己思想的工具。英语对于这些孩子来说，真正作为了一种技能，并能很好的运用，看到这本作品集，给了我相当大的震撼。我的学生们与这些学生差距太大了，今后要面临各种考试比赛，从小就有了如此大的差距，今后拿什么去竞争呢，这个问题让我不得不去思考。
《小学英语新课程标准》中要求小学毕业时，学生应达到二级标准，能根据图片或提示写简单的句子。要求五、六年级的学生应具备初步的写作能力。把学生的书写能力培养起来，对他们升入初中的学习也大有益处。但是，英语写作是英语教学的难点，试想，我们很多学生连母语写作还没写好，要在学习用另一种语言写作谈何容易呢！学生学过的单词、句子不会综合运用，一到作文里就全变了样。在写作时，学生心里有话但表达不出来，写出来的句子还常常是按中文顺序一个词一个词地堆砌而成的，导致这些结果的原因都是什么呢？在我的教学过程中又应该怎样改变这些现象呢？就此我不得不仔细思考。一．剖析原由，找到病因。
（一）我校所处的地理位置为城乡结合部，生源一多半都是外地务工人员子女，本地的学生家长大多也为普通工人，还有部分家长在家待业，整体素质较低。家长对英语几乎不能进行辅导，有些家长还能帮助听听写，监督孩子读课文，有些家长并不很重视英语学科。
（二）我校学生接触英语的机会很少，只有平时在学校里学的一点知识，没有额外的积累。学生要写一篇语句通顺，结构合理，语法正确，合乎情理的文章，就必须有一定的写作表达能力，掌握丰富扎实的英语基础。基础是写好文章的保证，没有基础，就犹如空中楼阁，无法筑成大厦，基础之重要是不言而喻的。然而，农村小学生由于年龄小，缺乏正确的学习方法，对所学的内容形成不了系统的储存，学习目标不够明确、主动，积极性不高，因此，农村学生英语知识基础差，主要体现在：一是语法知识不系统，语感差；二是词汇量小，单词拼写错误多；三是用词错误多，基本句型掌握得不好，单句写作能力差；四是正确理解和运用英语能力差。
（三）学生对英语学习的兴趣不高，背单词都成了孩子们头疼的事，更别说是写英语作文了。写作对于刚刚开始接触英语的小学生来说是一种难度，处理不当，容易让学生产生畏惧情绪而失去写作的兴趣。所以，老师就要针对学生不同的年龄阶段和个性特征，不同的要求和写作能力，遵循小学生的语言发展规律和思维特征，由易到难，循序渐进，按部就班，正确实施写作策略，引导学生正确写作。教师经常由于课时紧，只是布置写作的作业，而没有科学地设计写作教学活动，让学生自己去完成写作任务或给出几个简单的单词，就要求学生进行写话。这样做，既浪费时间，又容易让学生对英语写作产生畏难、厌烦情绪，畏惧写作。
（四）教师们常常是到了高年级才开始抓写作练习，这让学生们更摸不着头绪，一下子感觉太难了，没有循序渐进的过程。由于低中年级考试中没有涉及到写作，教师常常就忽略了培养写作能力，到了高年级，教师才意识到学生的写作技能太匮乏了，也为时已晚，写作技能的培养不是一朝一夕之事，而要靠长期的积累和练习才能有一定的效果。平时老师为了赶进度，拿高分，又都把大量的时间放在词汇、句式、语法和篇章的讲解上，真正的写作教学少之又少。
（五）教师们经常把写作训练单列出来，忽略了英语听、说、读、写四大技能之间的关系。语言学家研究证明：儿童语言能力的发展是综合的整体的发展，听说读写各项能力之间是互相制约，互相促进的。每一项能力的发展过分滞后，都会影响到其他能力的进一步发展。正是由于学生的英语基础知识差，写作就出现很多错误。比如，人称和时态不一致，缺字漏词，词语搭配不当，表达不准确等等。二．对症下药，瓦解病灶。
（一）抓基础，重积累
捷克教育家说过：“知识的教学是基础工程，应当按照一定的顺序一步步地形成（顺序性原理）。”我们的作文教学也应如此，只要从基础抓起，要重视学生英语写作基本能力的培养。
1.指导学生正确地使用大小写字母和标点符号。这是英语写作的最基本的知识技能也是小学生和老师最容易忽略和轻视的问题。俗语说：“千里之堤毁于蚁穴。”不注重基础知识的掌握与积累，就难以写出好文章。因此，老师要通过示范、模仿和讲解中英文语言结构、表达方式以及语意之间的不同之处。一个完整的句子开头第一个字母要大写，句号是一个小圆点，在汉语用顿号的地方在英语要用逗号。凡此种种都应帮学生区分清楚。指导学生正确地使用大小写字母和标点符号。
2.坚持每天听写单词和词组，扩大学生的词汇容量。词汇是语言的基本要素，是语言的建筑材料，是听、说、读、写技能的基础，如果词汇量掌握不够，学生的听、说、读、写的技能就难以发展和提高。Wilkins认为：“没有语法，只能传递少量信息；没有词汇，任何信息都无法传递。”而McCarthy也同样认为：“不管学习者第二语言的语法掌握得多好，不管他的发音多么的标准，但如果缺乏足够的词汇，便不能用第二语言成功地进行交际。”因此，坚持每天听写单词和词组，扩大学生的词汇容量，才能从根本解决写作难的问题。
3.熟练掌握基本句型和简单的语法知识。句型是人们进行交流运用的语言组织，也是学生运用语言的主要形
式，学生如能掌握一定数量的常用句型，就基本上掌握了形态变化和句子结构、词的常用搭配和语法知识，因此，只要学生熟练掌握基本句型和简单的语法知识，在表达上就容易了一大步。
（二）从小抓起，循序渐进
写作技能的培养是一个长期的过程，应从刚开始接触英语开始就进行讲解和训练，但一定要掌握好难易程度，不要急于求成。
1.在一二年级时，主要还是要以兴趣为主，但可以让学生自己根据所学做一些简单的写作积累。一年级学生学了一些形状和颜色，可以让学生把所学的形状和颜色，用彩笔画下来，虽然没有学习写，但可以照猫画虎似的把简单的词在画旁边进行标注，做成漂亮的卡片，低年级的孩子喜欢这种动手型的作业，在玩中积累了词汇；二年级开始学习字母了，可以让学生自己设计一个字母表，里面可以设计每个字母开头的单词，并配上简单的图，来个小评比，看看谁设计的字母表最漂亮，学生一定会兴致高涨的。
2.在三、四年级时，学生已经开始学习了句子，这时学生应从模仿入手，经常练习，从机械模仿到熟练运用，模仿多了就会习惯成自然。可以每天给学生一副图，让学生给图配上一句话，或者随意描述图中的内容，注意与单元内容相结合。如四年级上学期，Unit1中涉及到了许多职业，可以布置一个作业，让学生贴上一张自己父母的照片，可以自由发挥，简单介绍自己的父母，这样刚学过介绍职业的句型，学生肯定有的可写，先模仿课文中的句子，写过几次，自己就能轻松的写出句子了。另外有能力的学生还可以介绍一些父母的特征，服装等等，这样很自然的就练习了写作。
3.到了五、六年级，就要求学生能写出几句话了，可以设计某一个话题，让学生围绕着这个话题随意创作，比如五年级上学期Ann's dream一单元，学生就可以围绕着自己的梦写上几句。教师可以简单做提示和讲解，围绕着who, where, when, what，每个学生都有的写，且与实际密切相连，学生就有兴趣进行表达。
（三）激发兴趣，形式多样
1.游戏形式：如学习了动物之后，可以举办一次“动物联欢会”，为学生创设情境，让每个学生扮演一个小动物，做自我介绍，如：Hello,I'm a rabbit.I have a short tail and two long ears.大家进行节目大汇演，把自己准备好的节目表演给大家看，看谁的表演最精彩。
2.办手抄报、墙报：可以找一个合适的节日，如Teachers' Day,学生可以搜集一些资料，祝福语等等，办一期有意义的手抄报，丰富了课外知识，也多积累了一些词汇和句子。
3.听力写作，就是听写一些结构比较简单的句子或篇幅小的短文，老师念什么学生就写什么，听力写作把学生听的训练、思维训练、写的训练联结为一体，也是写作训练的一个好形式。4.根据提示词写作，也就是给学生提供一些关键词或词组，要求学生根据提供的信息进行写作.如Name: Nancy Job:Movie Star From: Hongkong China Birth:April 7th,1980 Shangdong, China Hobby:Doing karate.用以上材料写一篇文章,不少于五句话。
（四）不孤立，相结合
一般情况下写作可以与听、说、阅读相结合，在听、说和阅读之后可以通过改写、缩写、仿写等方式训练学生的写作，可以通过回答问题、讨论、评论的方式训练语言表达能力。阅读也是写作的积累，多读多看，语言输入的多了，自然输出时就有的可写。平时还应多背些简单的小文章，就像我们常说的：“熟读唐诗三百首，不会做诗也会吟”，英语也同样，读的多了，自然就有了语感。写作也可作为听、说、阅读的后续活动，可以作为对听说和阅读材料的应用。
（五）重评价，多鼓励
1.展示优秀作文，及时评价
老师在课堂上宣读学生的作品，并对其作品给以充分的肯定和表扬，对不足之处给以适当的指导，语气要委婉，不要伤害学生的自尊和面子。
2.在作文上留下评价的痕迹，时时鼓励学生
当学生努力把他们自己的单词和意思添加到那些不受严格控制的句子或文章中去的时候，教师可能更倾向于就写作内容提出建议，或者表扬一下学生努力尝试写作的学习态度。在这种情况下，可以写简短的评价，如：Very interesting/ exciting/ funny.I enjoy your story;I like your ending;Well done.You have tried hard.等。
3.积分评比
就是将每次写得好作品粘贴在记分板上，让大家都能看到自己努力的结果，起着示范作用，激发学生间的竞争意识、提高写作热情。
总之，学生写作技能的形成必须经过长期的学习和练习才能获得，是一个由易到难、循序渐进的复杂的过程，需要运用多种智力活动，所以要求学生用英语进行书面表达确实有一定困难，因此教师必须通过多种策略和途径为学生搭建写作平台，拓展写作空间，引导并帮助学生挖掘写作素材，采用多种写作训练方法，培养学生写作的兴趣和习惯，以多元化的激励评价方式促进他们、鼓励他们，从表扬、不断修改的过程中提高用英语写作的准确性、条理性和自信心，调动并保持学生写作的积极性和主动性，我相信通过种种努力，我们的学生一定会真正成为英语学习的主人，一定会缩小与其他学生的差距。
