Recently, besides my daily life, I have done two things.One thing is that I have reading a foreign novel about dogs called The Call of the Wild, the other thing is that I have watching a hit TV series called The Story of Zhen Huan.Through the book and the TV show, I realized the same thing of the two main characters.‘Natural selection, survival of the fittest’ is the truth.So I want to make a comparison of them.Jack London, the author of The Call of the Wild, was born in San Francisco California, United States, a bankruptcy peasant family.Who is a Famous realist writer of the 20th century in the United States, and is one of the most important writers in the history of American literature.The outline of the Call of the Wild is that a civilized world dog in the owner's forced to return to the savage process, even though writes dog, reflects the human’s world.The dog named Buck lived at a big house called Judge Miller’s place in the sun-kissed Santa Clara Valley.His father is a huge St.Bernard;he was not so large, because his mother is a Scotch shepherd dog.During the four years, he had lived the life of a sated aristocrat.But the peaceful of life was broken by one of the 《野性的呼唤》作者是美国作家杰克·伦敦，里面讲的是：小狗巴克是狗和狼狗的杂交，它生活在温暖的南方，它很温顺，没有警惕性。有一天，巴克被园丁卖给了狗贩子，被带到寒冷的北方，做一只雪橇狗。它被人打，被别的狗欺负，于是，它努力为生存做斗争，祖先的野性从它心底爆发了出来，渐渐变得威猛、残酷、狡猾，它咬死了原先狗群的首领，取而代之。最后，又在荒野狼群的呼唤下，逃入森林，变成了狼……

巴克原本是一只温顺普通的狗，但它具有狼的血统，第一个主人大法官就应该把它放回大自然，大自然才是它真正的家。而园丁，要不是他，巴克就得不到生活的磨练，也没有野性，不会变成自由的狼。拉雪橇，对巴克来说，是一堂重要的课，知道了在自然界中，弱者是无法立足的，要成为强者。巴克随着环境的恶劣变得残酷，才变成了狼。

杰克·伦敦的童年是在艰难困苦中度过的。曾当过报童、水手、流浪中还蹲过监狱，后来去阿拉斯加淘过金。故事中的.主人公是一条生长在美国南部加州的狗。它原来是米勒法官家的一条爱犬，后来被卖到寒冷偏远的美国北部，在盛产黄金的阿拉斯加，它成了一只拉雪撬的狗。

进入北方后，他眼见自己的同伴——一只南方狗遭到当地狗攻击而惨死，他第一次感受到了“利齿的残酷性”，认识到生活中没有公平的游戏规则，任何时候都必须坚强挺住，绝对不能倒下，他原始的野性开始被唤醒。出于野性的渴望，巴克先是隐忍，继而不断制造麻烦，最终挑起了同凶悍、老辣的领头狗斯比次茨的一场恶斗，并将其打败、杀死，取代了他的地位。极地环境的恶劣、生活的艰辛，行路、跋涉之苦，他都挺了过来，而且变得更加结实和强悍。

在暑假里，我读了《野性的呼唤》一书。这本书是美国作家杰克·伦敦的著作。

当时的美国还处于资本主义发展的初始阶段，人们为了得到黄金，都纷纷赶往北极寻找。因而需要大量壮实的狗去拉雪橇。

这本书描写了主人公巴克，也是被卖到北极的狗之一。当刚刚到北极的时候，巴克就亲眼目睹了自己同伴遭受当地狗的攻击而惨死。而它也第一次感受到大棒的残酷，从此便信奉了‘大棒’和‘利齿’的法则。经过几次跟换主人，巴克落入了三个根本不适合在北极探险的男女。就在巴克即将和他们陷入困境的时候，一个名叫桑顿的男子救了它。从而使巴克对他逐渐地产生了好感，不惜生命的危险，三次将桑顿从死亡的边缘拉回。因为桑顿被印第安人杀害，为了替主人报酬，巴克疯狂地撕咬印第安人的喉咙。最终回归了大自然。

巴克在小说中是一个强者的身份出现。它那英勇的表现，那强壮的身姿，时不时地浮现在我的眼前。要想在这个社会立足，我们就得学会像巴克那样有坚韧的生活意志，顽强的生存力和机敏的生存。只有这样我们才可以在这个社会上存活下去。
