what would you do if you had only one day left to live?(by 金璐 清华大学 第十四届―21世纪·联想杯‖全国英语演讲比赛冠军)―what would you do if you had only one day left to live?‖ i asked this question to my young students when teaching english this winter.what were their answers? ten years ago, at their age, i had a different answer: i would spend the last day of my life gazing at the face of my dear grandmother until i could inscribed every detail of it onto my mind.when grandmother was getting old and weak, my family bought her a telephone so i could save time and the trouble of traveling to her home by making phone calls instead.later we bought her a television so she could watch modern dramas by herself.then grandma must have been, we assumed, very contented and happy.even though i have a telephone, can she hear me now? even though i might be on television, can she see me now? don’t people just love the word of ―tele‖, which means far away.indeed this is how modern technology has changed our world.but please don’t forget this other word with ―tele‖: telepathy: which refers to human beings’ inborn ability to connect to our loved ones.our minds are supposed to read each other’s minds;our hearts are supposed to feel each other’s hearts — and fulfill these without any forms of tool!but the moment i desperately struggled to remember grandmother’s face, the telepathy between her and me had shut down forever.with the help of modern technology, i killed our telepathy.this shall never happen again!the ―tele‖s are great inventions.but ―telepathy‖ gives them the warmth of a human face.let’s harness the power of television to excite our kids to develop their telepathy with nature„ so that they can read the secret language of flowers.let’s make the telephone lines provoke us to preserve our telepathy with each other, so we can connect in a warm and feeling way.let technology keep our ―telepathy‖ alive!we need to wake up and make this happen.thank you very much!

speech of mu jiawei, northwest normal university in recent years, the development of the chinese economy has been incredibly fast, some might even call it miraculous.but behind the miracles lies a problem: the development is unbalanced in different regions.under the strategy of the chinese government, china has three major economic regions: the east, the middle and the west.with its advantageous position, the east is the fastest developing area, leaving the west far behind, and the middle somewhere in between.for instance, the gdp per capita in the east amounts to us$2000, while that of the west is only 40% of the east.furthermore, the gap between the urban and the rural, according to the state statistical bureau, has widened to more than 10 years.there are people in the big cities with large houses, expensive cars, other luxuries and better opportunities.however, there are people in the countryside, living on meager food, without the security of health, education, and so on.this is the diversity of the chinese economy.for the unity of the full national economic development, governments of all levels have decided on corresponding strategies, for example, the greater development of the western region, the continuing rise of the central china, and the faster development of the east.specifically, within the west, provinces alike have established programs of development, with financial and technological aid of the central government, making full use of the western natural resources.such strategies have turned out to be remarkably successful.it reminds me of the world.there are wealthy countries in north america and europe;there are poor ones in asia and africa.the aid from the rich world is far from enough to remove poverty in the developing countries.therefore, with the help of funds, technology, and management from wealthy countries, these developing countries now have the opportunity to establish their own right strategies of development, taking full advantage of their natural and human resources.speech of li mengxia, harbin engineering university unity and diversity--diversity talks this is a force.it’s unity.we are the world because of unity.it enables the international co-operational manufacture by setting up unified standards for everything.a nail produced in china can be perfectly used in any corner of the world.therefore, it is unity that leads world into a perfect harmony!however, don’t you think it’s a little bit boring with unity ruling the world only? what would you do if someone orders you to do whatever he does without allowing you to do what you really want? apparently, you’ll be going nuts, because you are not leading a life of your own.so, to us, diversity talks!before i went to college, my dad asked me: son, did you think of being outstanding? if you want to be outstanding, you have to stand out, stand out of normal routine which other people consider the only way to success.but dad’s words went in one ear and out the other!i had no idea whether dad was right or wrong until the day i found i was no longer myself.i put myself in a jar full of people.i work when they work, i panic when they panic, and i waste time when they waste time.this is no laughing matter but a horrible disaster.afterwards, i kept telling myself: i am a student, and i do what a student should do.this is our unity.but does this mean we have to sacrifice our diversity to save the orderly image of unity? not exactly!unity stops us getting into chaos while diversity makes life colorful.from then on, my long-covered specialty was evoked and set me on a special track to my dreams.i got back what i had lost.it’s a great feeling that you realize you still have the ability to surprise yourself: i found a part-time job as an oral-english teacher in a private school.i love english and work joyfully though my major has nothing to do with english at all.i stood out and made a difference.i found “i am what i am, and i am happy to be me.”

Crossing the Sea

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. The title of my speech today is “Crossing the Sea”.An English poet by the name of Rudyard Kipling once wrote in his poem “We and They”: “All the people like us are We And everyone else is They We live over the sea While They live over the way We eat pork and beef with cowhorn-handled knives They who gobble their rice off a leaf Are horrified out of their lives.” When these lines first caught my eyes, I was shocked-how could two peoples remain so isolated and ignorant of each other in the past? Today's society, of course, is an entirely different picture. Those people who used to eat with cowhorn-handled knives might be very skillful in using chopsticks, and those people who used to gobble their rice might be as well have taken to fish and chips.Indeed, just take China as an example: Our modern life has been influenced by Western style of living in so many ways that it's no longer surprising to see teenagers going crazy about rock-and-roll, whole families dining out at McDonald's and even rather elderly people dressed in Apple Jeans. However, these are only some expressions of the cultural changes taking place in our society today. What is really going on is a subtle but significant restructuring of the nation's mentality.Just look around. How many college graduates are ready to compete aggressively for every job opportunity, whereas not long ago they were asked just to sit idle and wait for whatever was to be assigned to them by the government? How many young people are now eager to seek for an independent life whereas only two decades ago they would rely totally on their parents to arrange for their future? Ask anyone who participates in today's speech contest.Who has not come with a will to fight and who has not come determined to achieve self-fulfillment in winning the game? And I'm quite certain that if Confucius had lived to see today's China, he would have been horrified to see young lovers kissing each other in public places in an unreserved expression of their passion. It is therefore evident that we as descendants of an ancient Eastern civilization are already living under strong inf1uence of the Western culture. But it is not only in China that we find the incorporation of the two cultures.Take the United States as an example: During the 1980s,in face of the overwhelming competition from Japan, many American companies such as the Ford began to adopt a teamwork management from their rivals, the essence of which, lay at the very core of Eastern culture.Take the Chinese acupuncture as another example: This traditional treatment of diseases is finally finding its way to the West and hence the underlying notion that illness is resulted from the imbalance between Yin and Yang within the body--an idea which would strike any Westerner as incredible in the past!Ladies and Gentlemen, we live in a great epoch when the global integration of economy and the information revolution have brought cultures of the world closer than ever before. We live in a particular era when countries, East and West, find themselves in need of readjusting their traditional values. We live, at the same time, at a critical juncture of our evolution because such problems as ethnic conflicts and regional unrest are increasingly posing a threat to the peace and happiness of the whole human race.To cope with such an era and to embrace an even brighter future, we need to learn to live more harmoniously in a world community which is becoming smaller and smaller. My dear fellow students, our command of the English language renders it possible for us to gain an insight into Western culture while retaining our own cultural identity. Therefore, it is our sacred responsibility to promote the cultural exchanges and hence the mutual understanding between China and the rest of the world. It is my happiest dream that the new generation of Chinese will not only grow up drinking Coca-Cola and watching Hollywood, but also be blessed with the far-reaching benefits of multiple cultures;benefits that our forefathers had never, ever dreamed of.To end my speech, I would like to quote Rudyard Kipling again: “All the people like us are We And everyone else is They But once you cross over the sea You will end by looking on We As only a sort of They” Thank you.

East and West have met

runner-up: Rui Cheng gang, Foreign Affair College Honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen:

Kipling said:“ East is east, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet!” But now, a century later, they have met. They have met in business. They have met in education. They have met in the arts. Some would argue that these meetings leave us with a choice between East and West ,but I believe the best future lies in the creative combination of both worlds. We can make Western ideas, customs and technology our own, and adapt them to our own use.We can enjoy the best of all worlds, because our tradition is, above all, one of selecting the best and making it our own. But, do Western styles and values threaten our identity? History makes it easy for us to think so-perhaps too easy. Some people seem to think that adopting Western customs, such as a bride wearing white-which has long been a color of mourning in China, instead of the traditional Chinese red for her wedding, is another submission to foreign intervention,--a betrayal of our heritage, they say. They fear that as we become “globalized”, we will no longer be Chinese.I do not agree.History teachers that a strong and confident nation is at ease in hearing from the outside world. The wedding of Eastern and Western cultures, whether in white gowns or red, brings us variety. It is a rich banquet of special foods from all over the world. As an amateur gourmet of Chinese cuisine, our superb flavours delight me.But my Chinese taste appreciates food from any land.I even allow the convenience of McDonald's a place in my life without giving up my good taste. My grandfather taught me to hum tunes of Beijing opera from the time I was very young;they are deep in my spirit, part of my soul.I love Beijing opera, because it always reminds me of who I am.But I am also a fan of modern pop music, the No.1 fan of Spice Girls on campus.of course, it goes far beyond food, music and dance. It goes into values and ways of thinking about the world.Once upon a time, or so my teacher told me, a Chinese boy and an American girl had a squabble. Both wanted to keep a bunny rabbit they had found in the garden.Surely you've seen a rabbit sunning himself in the grass.Nothing is more lovable, nothing more natural. No wonder they wanted him.The Chinese boy played his er-hu.Happiness and joy, longing and passion, filled the air.The little rabbit swayed gently and began to move his ears in the direction of the music. He liked what he heard. The girl then took out her violin and played it to produce beautiful melodies of her own.The rabbit began to bounce in her direction. So intent were the children on their own music that neither paid the other any attention. The competing melodies confused the little rabbit and he did not know which way to turn.Unable to attract the little creature, both children gave up;they walked away, in different directions, leaving the rabbit...alone.But, what if they listened ,what if they really heard each other's music, instead of always playing their own tunes?

When I hear the music of a violin ,rich with the joys of men and women who came together and sang and danced...I hear echoes of the music of the grass lands, of the hills, of the rivers...of my own native land.Is music mine and yours, or is it ours?

What I want to hear is the er-hu and the violin played together, in rhythm and

in

tune.Together, we can produce new and beautiful music, rich with textures and sounds that can only be made in harmony. The rabbit sits in the grass in the ever-warming sun.Waiting for us to play, waiting for the symphony to begin. Will he have to wait forever? The choice is ours.Thank you.

Liu Xin: Thank you, contestant number 10.Now you're going to compare street markets and supermarkets.Rui Cheng gang:

Well, thank you very much.Um as a man who suffered from male chauvinism, I used to think that shopping is a privilege of women.I seldom do shopping until I have to.But three years ago, something happened and it changed my view.I remember it was the first day I went to college. After I had put down my luggage, I went out of the school to have a look around. It was a romantic rainy day.And guess what, I found the street market, right beside the school. And I saw lots of middle-aged men and women talking with the sellers of fruit, clothes and soft drinks and it seems to me that they were intimate friends. And then I said to myself, why not have a try.So I walked to the seller of pineapple and talked to him.And then i bought a pineapple and bargain with him and then i will eat the pineapple while wandering around the street market and enjoy the simple things of life.Thank you.Judge: You mentioned in your first speech the importance of variety even though the east and west are converging. But many people think that one of the problems of modern life is the lack of variety. This hotel looks like every other hotel in the world and the whole world is becoming an airport.Hong Kong looks like Singapore and so on.Do you think that we may be in danger of losing the very variety that you think is so important? Rui Cheng gang:

The variety.Of course I do not think so.I don't think we are losing variety.Instead ,we are, I think we are getting more varieties.Well nowadays, as i had mentioned in my speech, we have a combination of eastern and western music, food and lifestyles.Actually I, I think I read an article in Vienna and many western critic and composers feel that a western music which has traditionally emphasized on the harmony between different instruments now is becoming increasingly, it increasingly reflects eastern music style. However, the eastern music style brought them a completely new sense of music. So I don't think we are losing variety.I think we are having more varieties. And also in our daily life, I think we have more choice. It's not actually a choice between the east and west.Actually I think the choice is a combination of the two.And this doesn't necessarily mean we are losing our variety. We are updating what variety is.Thank you.Judge: In your second speech just now about street markets. You said that you enjoyed going to the street markets. It's a peaceful life and eating pineapples.Could you say something more comparing street markets and supermarkets as regards prices and quality and choice of products, things like that.Rui Cheng gang:

Yes.Of course I prefer street market to super market. And actually I think ,nowadays the prices in the supermarket are becoming lower and lower to meet the demands of the people. But somehow I think people, not only Chinese people, but people from all over the world, will enjoy street markets much better.Because even though going to the supermarket will help you to get rid of a lot of the trouble of bargaining ,but somehow you lose the fun of talking with people and communicating with each other, and i think the super market just reflects one of the problems of modern society.I mean the alienation of people and their fellow man.And so I think that street market is secure to these disease or illnesses in modern society.Thank you.

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. The issue of the Yellow River has become the biggest concern of members of the Chinese peoples Political Consultative Conference. My childhood, in fact, is closely associated with the river. My father is an engineering geologist, and he used to take me with him on his trips to the hydropower stations on the river.I enjoyed those trips, especially the trip to Longyang Xia reservoir.Although ten years have passed since my visit, I can still recall the scenery;I can still recall the water I saw at the reservoir. It was pure, clean and blue, not like the water I saw in the middle reaches of the river, which had turned brown and muddy after passing through the Loess Plateau.Once during our stay at the power station, we were caught in a thunderstorm. And when rain stopped, I could see trickles of water rolling down mountain slopes and flowing into the reservoir. It carried little mud or sand, because at that time, trees and grass still grew around the reservoir. And they protected the soil.At Longyang Xia I was struck by the beauty of nature, and as a child I wanted to stay there and to grow up with our Yellow River.Li Bai, the Tang Dynasty poet, said praises to the flowing water in the Yellow River. He saw it as coming down from heaven and nurturing the people along her way to the sea. However, in 1997,for 330days, not a single drop of water from the Yellow River went into the sea.And droughts are not the only punishment by nature.A friend of my father's, a university professor, is doing research on the Yellow River.According to this professor, the Yellow River will soon change its course if we allow this situation to continue.Because there is no longer enough water to carry away the silt and mud in the lower reaches of the river and the riverbed rises higher and higher each year.We have taken too much from nature, but given back too little in return. And this is the cost of the unbalanced growth. If we had taken care of the vegetation in the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River, we would still experience the river as Li Bai described it.While the developed countries are consuming proportionally more natural resources than the rest of the world, they've also taken some good measures in protecting nature. And as a developing country, China can learn from them in this aspect.Last year, when I was visiting Australia with a group of Chinese students who had won prizes in an English Skills Test, our Australian hosts invited us to join them for a horse-ride in the mountains. After two hours on horseback, we reached a valley, where there was a most beautiful meadow, with flowers in all colors dotted on a huge blanket of green. When I began to praise the beauty of nature, my friends told me that in this valley, there used to be a big mine and the wastewater from the mine turned everything brown. When the mine was abandoned, people made great efforts to restore the green vegetation. They also used the latest biological technology choosing the best grass seeds suitable for the local soil.So the beautiful meadow is a result of commitment, hard work, and new technology. What happened to this valley in Australia should also happen to our Yellow River and, in fact, it is happening.I have seen farmers planting trees on mountains along the Yellow River.I have seen them climb the mountain tops with seedlings on their shoulders because they had no machinery.I have seen them pour on trees the water they had carried up in buckets from miles down the valley. These farmers are quietly nourishing our Yellow River, just as the river has nourished them. And these farmers, men and women I don't know, gave me the confidence that we and our Yellow River will grow together, and someday in the future, we will be able to drink the clean water from our Yellow River again, because she is our dearest mother.Thank you.

New Beijing, the Three-colored New Olympics Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen:

Bidding for the Olympic Games is, in a way, an image-creating undertaking. The first and foremost thing is to let people fall in love with the city at first sight, attracting them by its unique image. What image does Beijing intend to create for itself once it has the opportunity to host the 2008 Olympics? It’s known to all that the Beijing Municipal Government has already set the theme for the future games: New Beijing, Great Olympics. For me, the 2008 Olympics will be a great green Olympics illuminated with two more special colors, yellow and red.First, yellow is a meaningful color. The Yellow River is China’s mother river and the cradle of Chinese civilization. We are of the yellow race and descendants of the Yellow Emperor. This color has a special origin and great significance for the Chinese people.Beijing is the capital of New China and previously the capital for nine dynasties in Chinese history. So, yellow will naturally add splendor to the 2008 Games.Secondly, the 2008 Olympics will be a red pageant.Red is another traditionally cherished color for the whole country. We adore red.On big occasions, we like to decorate our homes in red.It is the color of double happiness, representing joyous moments, 1)auspiciousness, enthusiasm and prosperity.Red is one of the most suitable colors to describe the future of Beijing.Beijing, together with the whole country, is becoming more and more prosperous in the process of modernization.Should the 2008 Olympics be held in Beijing, the whole city will be a sea of red: the red torch, red flags, red flowers, and the radiant faces of millions of joyful people.Above all, the 2008 Olympics will be a green Olympics.Adding the green 2)ingredient is essential in creating an appealing image, as we can’t deny the fact that Beijing, at the moment, is not as green a city as what we like it to be.Striving for an environmentally appealing city has become a central task for all the citizens of Beijing.Big efforts have been made in pollution control, replanting and beautification of the city.According to a project entitled “The Green Olympic Action Plan,” between 1998 and 2007, Beijing will have invested 100 billion RMB in preserving and protecting the environment. Some 12.5 million trees and over 1 million acres of grass will be planted along the Fourth Ring Road.By then, the city’s green area will make up 40% of its total. The city will also dredge its 3)reservoirs used as a water supply to Beijing residents, controlling industrial pollution and moving out the 200 factories presently located within the city proper.Certainly, all of this is no easy task. But I am sure that all of us have confidence that we will realize these “green” goals, for now we have the full support and participation of the environmentally conscious citizens. Each citizen is showing great concern for every one of the steps the city government takes. As the saying goes, “United, we stand”, and a green Beijing will be achieved. When our aspiration becomes a reality, it will be a unique Olympics.“New Beijing, Great Olympics” will be weaved of these three superb colors: yellow, red and green.Let us welcome it and look forward to it!Thank you!

Today I'm very happy to be here to share with you some of my thoughts on the topic of Globalization. And first of all, I would like to mention an event in our recent history.Thirty years ago, American President Richard Nixon made an epoch-making visit to China, a country still isolated at that time.Premier Zhou Enlai said to him, “Your handshake came over the vastest ocean in the worldnatural scenes aren't natural anymore.Deforestation to heat lodges are devastating Nepal.Oil spills from tourist boats are polluting Antarctica.Tribal people are forsaking their native music and dress to listen to U2 on Walkman and wear Nike and Reeboks. All these appalling facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been eroding our resources.Encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the United Nations has made 2002 the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the world's attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment. Now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations are receiving donationsfrom housewives, plumbers, ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and invalids. Some of them cannot afford to send the money but they do.These are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood. Why? Because they care.Because they still want their Mother Nature back.Because they know it still belongs to them. This kind of feeling that I have, ladies and gentlemen, is when it feels like it, smells like it, and looks like it , it's all coming from a scene to be remembered, a scene to recall and to cherish. The other night, as I saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs.I found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to something else, someplace else, a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seemed to have been except the deer. And all those unforgettable scenes strengthened the feeling that it's time for us to do something, for our own and our coming generation.Once again, I have come to think of Mrs.Diana Fossey because it is with her spirit, passion, courage and strong sense of our ecoenvironment that we are taking our next step into the world. And no matter who we are, what we do and where we go, in our minds, there's always a scene to remember, a scene worth our effort to protect it and fight for it.Thank you very much.

The Doors that Are Open to Us Good morning ladies and gentlemen:

The title of my speech today is ”The Doors that Are Open to Us “.The other day my aunt paid me a visit. She was overjoyed.”I got the highest mark in the mid-term examination!“ she said.Don't be surprised! My aunt is indeed a student;to be exact, a college student at the age of 45.Last year, she put aside her private business and signed up for a one-year, full-time management course in a college.”This was the wisest decision I have ever made,“ she said proudly like a teenage girl.To her, college is always a right place to pick up new ideas, and new ideas always make her feel young.”Compared with the late 70s,“ she says, ”now college students have many doors.“ My aunt cannot help but recall her first college experience in 1978 when college doors began to be re-opened after the Cultural Revolution. She was assigned to study engineering despite her desire to study Chinese literature, and a few years later, the government sent her to work in a TV factory.I was shocked when she first told me how she(had)had no choice in her major and job.Look at us today! So many doors are open to us!I believe there have never

been

such

abundant

opportunities

for self-development as we have today. And my aunt told me that we should reach our goals by grasping all these opportunities. The first door I see is the opportunity to study different kinds of subjects that interest us.My aunt said she was happy to study management, but she was also happy that she could attend lectures on ancient Chinese poetry and on Shakespearean drama. As for myself, I am an English major, but I may also go to lectures on history. To me, if college education in the past emphasized specialization, now, it emphasizes free and well-rounded development of each individual. So all the fine achievements of human civilization are open to us.The second door is the door to the outside world.Learning goes beyond classrooms and national boundaries. My aunt remembers her previous college days as monotonous and even calls her generation ”frogs in a well.“ But today, as the world becomes a global village, it is important that our neighbors and we be open-minded to learn with and from each other.I have many fellow international classmates, and I am applying to an exchange program with a university abroad. As for my aunt, she is planning to get an MBA degree in the United Kingdom where her daughter, my cousin, is now doing her master's degree in biochemistry. We are now taking the opportunity to study overseas, and when we come back, we'll put to use what we have learnt abroad. The third door is the door to lifelong learning. As new ideas appear all the time, we always need to acquire new knowledge, regardless of our age.Naturally, my aunt herself is the best example. Many of my aunt's contemporaries say that she is amazingly up-to-date for a middle-aged woman. She simply responds, ”Age doesn't matter. What matters is your attitude. You may think it's strange that I am still going to college, but I don't think I'm too old to learn.“ Yes, she is right.Since the government removed the age limit for college admissions in 2001, there are already some untraditional students, sitting with us in the same classrooms.Like these people, my aunt is old but she is very young in spirit. With her incredible energy and determination, she embodies both tradition and modernity. The doors open to us also pose challenges. For instance, we are faced with the challenge of a balanced learning, the challenge of preserving our fine tradition while learning from the West, and the challenge of learning continuously while carrying heavy responsibilities to our work and family. So, each door is a test of our courage, ability and judgment, but with the support of my teachers, parents, friends and my aunt, I believe I can meet the challenge head on.When I reach my aunt's age, I can be proud to say that I have walked through dozens of doors and will, in the remainder of my life, walk through many more.Possibly I will go back to college, too.Thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen.

From Walls to Bridges I'm studying in a city famous for its walls. All visitors to my city are amazed by the imposing sight of the city walls, silhouetted by the setting sun with gold and shining lines. With old, cracked bricks patched with lichen, the walls are weather-beaten guards, standing still for centuries in protecting the city. Our ancestors liked to build walls. They built walls in Beijing, Xi'an, Nanjing and many other cities, and they built the Great Wall, which snakes through half of our country. They built walls to ward off enemies and evil spirits. This tradition has been maintained to this day as we still have many parks and schools walled off from the public.I grew up at the foot of the city walls, and I've loved them since my childhood. For a long time, walls were one of the most natural things in the world. My perception, however, changed after a hiking trip to the Eastern Suburbs, a scenic area of my city.My classmates and I were walking with some international students. As we walked out of the city, we found ourselves flanked by taller and taller trees, which formed a huge canopy above our heads.Suddenly an international student asked me, ”Where is the entrance to the Eastern Suburbs?“

”We're already in the Eastern Suburbs,“ I replied. He seemed taken aback, ”I thought you Chinese have walls for everything.“ His remark set off a heated debate. At one point, he likened our walled cities to ”jails,“ while I insisted that the Eastern Suburbs were one of the many places in China that had no walls. That debate had no winners, but I did learn a lot from this international student. For instance, he told me that universities like Oxford and Cambridge were not surrounded by walls;the campuses were just part of the cities.I have to admit that we do have many walls in China, and as we are developing our country, we must carefully examine them, whether they are physical or intangible. We will keep some walls but tear down those that impede China's development.Let me give you an example.A year ago, when I was working on a term paper, I needed a book on business law and found a copy in the law school library. However, the librarian turned down my request with a cold shoulder, saying, ”You can't borrow this book, you are not a student here." In the end, I had to spend 200 yuan buying a copy;meanwhile, the copy in law school was gathering dust on the shelf. At the beginning of this semester, I heard that my university has started not only to unify its libraries but also link them up with libraries of other universities, so my experience will not be repeated.Barriers will be replaced by bridges.Through an inter-library loan system, we will have access to books from any library. With globalization, with China integrated into the world, I believe many of these intangible walls will be knocked down.I know globalization is a controversial issue, and it is hard to say whether it is good or bad.But one thing is for sure: it draws our attention to China's tangible and intangible walls and forces us to examine their roles in the modern world. And how about the ancient walls in my city and other cities? Should we tear them down? Just the opposite. My city, like Beijing and other cities, is actually making a great effort to preserve the walls. These walls attract not only historians and archeologists but also many schoolchildren trying to study our history and cultural heritage.Walls have turned into bridges to our past and to the rest of the world. If the ancient builders of these walls were still alive today, they would be proud to see such great change in the role of their walls. They are now bridges that link East and West, South and North, and all countries of the world. Our cultural

speech of mu jiawei, northwest normal university in recent years, the development of the chinese economy has been incredibly fast, some might even call it miraculous.but behind the miracles lies a problem: the development is unbalanced in different regions.under the strategy of the chinese government, china has three major economic regions: the east, the middle and the west.with its advantageous position, the east is the fastest developing area, leaving the west far behind, and the middle somewhere in between.for instance, the gdp per capita in the east amounts to us$2000, while that of the west is only 40% of the east.furthermore, the gap between the urban and the rural, according to the state statistical bureau, has widened to more than 10 years.there are people in the big cities with large houses, expensive cars, other luxuries and better opportunities.however, there are people in the countryside, living on meager food, without the security of health, education, and so on.this is the diversity of the chinese economy.for the unity of the full national economic development, governments of all levels have decided on corresponding strategies, for example, the greater development of the western region, the continuing rise of the central china, and the faster development of the east.specifically, within the west, provinces alike have established programs of development, with financial and technological aid of the central government, making full use of the western natural resources.such strategies have turned out to be remarkably successful.it reminds me of the world.there are wealthy countries in north america and europe;there are poor ones in asia and africa.the aid from the rich world is far from enough to remove poverty in the developing countries.therefore, with the help of funds, technology, and management from wealthy countries, these developing countries now have the opportunity to establish their own right strategies of development, taking full advantage of their natural and human resources.speech of li mengxia, harbin engineering university unity and diversity--diversity talks this is a force.it’s unity.we are the world because of unity.it enables the international co-operational manufacture by setting up unified standards for everything.a nail produced in china can be perfectly used in any corner of the world.therefore, it is unity that leads world into a perfect harmony!however, don’t you think it’s a little bit boring with unity ruling the world only? what would you do if someone orders you to do whatever he does without allowing you to do what you really want? apparently, you’ll be going nuts, because you are not leading a life of your own.so, to us, diversity talks!before i went to college, my dad asked me: son, did you think of being outstanding? if you want to be outstanding, you have to stand out, stand out of normal routine which other people consider the only way to success.but dad’s words went in one ear and out the other!i had no idea whether dad was right or wrong until the day i found i was no longer myself.i put myself in a jar full of people.i work when they work, i panic when they panic, and i waste time when they waste time.this is no laughing matter but a horrible disaster.afterwards, i kept telling myself: i am a student, and i do what a student should do.this is our unity.but does this mean we have to sacrifice our diversity to save the orderly image of unity? not exactly!unity stops us getting into chaos while diversity makes life colorful.from then on, my long-covered specialty was evoked and set me on a special track to my dreams.i got back what i had lost.it’s a great feeling that you realize you still have the ability to surprise yourself: i found a part-time job as an oral-english teacher in a private school.i love english and work joyfully though my major has nothing to do with english at all.i stood out and made a difference.i found “i am what i am, and i am happy to be me.”

yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called gorillas in the mist, based on a true story of mrs.diana fossey, who spent most of her lifetime in rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.

to me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our eco-environment.

today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems.on the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go.it has bee a lifestyle for some people, and has turned out to be the driving force in gdp growth.it has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland of prosperity.but on the other hand, many problems can occurbig notes, small notes or even coins-from housewives, plumbers, ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and invalids.some of them cannot afford to send the money but they do.these are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood.why? because they care.because they still want their mother nature back.because they know it still belongs to them.

this kind of feeling that i have, ladies and gentlemen, is when it feels like it, smells like it, and looks like it,it's all ing from a scene to be remembered, a scene to recall and to cherish.

the other night, as i saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs.i found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to something else, someplace else, a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seemed to have been except the deer.

and all those unforgettable scenes strengthened the feeling that it's time for us to do something, for our own and our ing generation.once again, i have e to think of mrs.diana fossey because it is with her spirit, passion, courage and strong sense of our ecoenvironment that we are taking our next step into the world.

and no matter who we are, what we do and where we go, in our minds, there's always a scene to remember, a scene worth our effort to protect it and fight for it. thank you very much.the rhythm of life most important lesson – we must place our mind in harmony with the natural order of things to be successful.let me tell you what happened.i decided to take part in an international marathon in my hometown last year.being an ambitious person, i hoped to finish it within 5 hours, acpanied by my friend with whom i had trained.the big day finally arrived.“ready...set...bang” and we were off.at first, we kept a rapid pace and ran nonstop.at this pace, we finished the first 20 kilometers in 2 hours and i thought running a marathon was a piece of cake.then my running mate began to slow down.i urged him to keep running at the same pace but he said no, he wanted to conserve his energy.i felt i had partnered with the wrong person;therefore, i sprinted on and left him behind in the dust.a few kilometers later, i began to understand his strategy as my pace slowed to a jog then a walk.after that i was incapable of moving another step.i was humiliated as more and more people ran passed me.more than once i thought “maybe i should quit.” i started to doubt my ability to finish this race.at this moment, my running mate caught up with me and slapped me on the back.“follow me,” he shouted.he had balanced his marathon pace and was encouraged me to do the same.for the rest of this grueling contest, we walked, jogged, ran a few miles, and walked again.slowly, painfully but hopefully this time, we established the most suitable pace

within the natural flow of our physical capabilities.eventually we acplished our first marathon of 42 kilometers in 4 and half hours.i asked myself, what did this marathon mean to me? my marathon experience became an influential metaphor for my life about how we must learn to pace ourselves in everything, by being in tune with the rhythm of life.like the tide that ebbs and flows, we must listen to advice but make our own decisions.like the show at dawn and dusk, we must learn to balance pride and modesty.and from the way the wind can both shout and whisper, we must learn when to be strong and when to be gentle, for everything moves in its own rhythm and its own yin and yang elements.it is the interaction of these plementary extremes that produces harmony, as laozi said, extremes meet.since the marathon, this notion of two opposite forces working together has been my running partner, so to speak.yin and yang exist everywhere, constantly interacting, and never existing in an absolute condition.ladies and gentlemen, life is like running a marathon, let us discover, define and develop a natural rhythm of life, in order to achieve both harmony and success.thank you for listening.

to me march 28th was a lucky day.it was on that particular evening that i found myself at central stage, in the spotlight.winning the “21st century〃ericsson cup” seventh national english speaking petition is a memory that i shall treasure and one that will surely stay.more important than winning the cup is the friendship that has been established and developed among the contestants, and the chance to municate offstage in addition to peting onstage.also the petition helps boost public speaking in china, a skill hitherto undervalued.for me, though, the petition is a more personal experience.habitually shy, i had been reluctant to take part in any such activities.encouraged by my friends, however, i made a last-minute decision to give it a try.in the course of preparation i somehow rediscovered myself, a truer me.i found that, after all, i like municating with other people;that exchanging views can be so much fun—and so much rewarding, both emotionally and intellectually;that public speaking is most effective when you are least guarded;and that it is essential to success in every walk of life.at a more practical level, i realized knowing what you are going to say and how you are going to say it are equally important.to take the original ideas out of your head and transplant them, so to speak, to that of others, you need to have an organized mind.this ability improves with training.yet there should not be any loss or addition or distortion in the process.those ideas that finally find their waysintosanother head need to be recognizably yours.language is a means

to transmit information, not a means to obstruct munication.it should be lucid to be penetrating.in china, certain public speaking skills have been unduly emphasized.will it really help, we are pelled to ask, to bang at the podium or yell at the top of your lungs, if you have e with a poorly organized speech, a muddled mind, and unwillingness to truly share your views? above all, the single most important thing i learnt was that as a public speaker, you need to pay attention, first and foremost, to the content of your speech.and second, the structure of your speech: how one idea relates and progresses to another.only after these e delivery and non-verbal munication: speed control, platform manner, and so on.pronunciation is important, yet of greater importance is this: is your language petent enough to express your ideas exactly the way you intend them to be understood? i was informed afterwards that i was chosen to be the winner for my “appropriately ed speech, excellent presence and quick-witted response”.in so remarking, the judges clearly showed their preference: they e to listen for meaningful ideas, not for loose judgments, nor easy laughters.some contestants failed to address their questions head on.some were able to, but did not knowswheresto stop—the dragging on betrayed their lack of confidence.the root cause was that they did not listen attentively to the questions.or they were thinking of what they had prepared.as i said in my speech, “it is vitally important that we young people do

more serious thinking...to take them [issues like globalization] on and give them honest thinking is the first step to be prepared for both opportunities and challenges ing our way”.we need to respond honestly.a petition like this draws talented students from all over the country.and of course, i learnt more things than just about public speaking.since in the final analysis, public speaking is all about effective munication.and this goes true for all munications, whatever their setting.and the following is the final version of my speech: globalization: opportunities and challenges for china's younger generation thirty years ago, american president richard nixon made an epoch-making visit to china, a country still isolated at that time.premier zhou enlai said to him, “your handshake came over the vastest ocean in the world—twenty-five years of no munication”.thirty years since, china and america have exchanged many handshakes.the fundamental implication of this exle is that the need to municate across differences in culture and ideology is not only felt by the two countries but by many other nations as well.as we can see today, environmentalists from different countries are making joint efforts to address the issue of global warming, economists are seeking solutions to financial crises that rage in a particular region but nonetheless cripple the world economy, and politicians and diplomats are

getting together to discuss the issue of bating terrorism.peace and prosperity has bee a mon goal that we are striving for all over the world.underlying this mighty trend of global munication is the echo of e.m.forster's s “only connect!” with the it revolution, traditional boundaries of human society fall away.our culture, politics, society and merce are being sloshedsintosone large melting pot of humanity.in this interlinked world, there are no outsiders, for a disturbance in one place is likely to impact other parts of the globe.we have begun to realize that a world divided cannot endure.china is now actively integratingsintosthe world.our recent entry to the wto is a good exle.for decades, we have taken pride in being self-reliant, but now we realize the importance of participating in and contributing to a broader economic order.from a precarious role in the world arena to our present wto membership, we have e a long way.but what does the way ahead look like? in some parts of the world people are demonstrating against globalization.are they justified, then, in criticizing the globalizing world? instead of narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor, they say, globalization enables the developed nations to swallow the developing nations' wealth in debts and interest.globalization, they argue, should be about a mon interest in every other nation's economic health.we are reminded by karl marx that capital goes beyond national

borders and eludes control from any other entity.this has bee a reality.multinational corporations are seeking the lowest cost, the largest market, and the most favourable policy.they are often powerful lobbyists in government decision-making, ruthless expansionists in the global market and a devastating presence to local businesses.for china, still more challenges exist.how are we going to ensure a smooth transition from the planned economy to a market-based one? how to construct a legal system that is sound enough and broad enough to respond to the needs of a dynamic society? how to maintain our cultural identity in an increasingly homogeneous world? and how to define greatness in our rise as a peace-loving nation? globalization entails questions that concern us all.like many young people my age in china, i want to see my country get prosperous and enjoy respect in the international munity.but it seems to me that mere patriotism is not just enough.it is vitally important that we young people do more serious thinking and broaden our mind to bigger issues.there might never be easy answers to those issues such as globalization, but to take them on and give them honest thinking is the first step to be prepared for both opportunities and challenges ing our way.this is also one of the thoughts that came to me while preparing this speech to me march 28th was a lucky day.it was on that particular evening that i found myself at central stage, in the spotlight.winning the “21st century?ericsson cup” seventh national english speaking petition is a memory that i shall treasure and one that will surely stay.more important than winning the cup is the friendship that has been established and developed among the contestants, and the chance to municate offstage in addition to peting onstage.also the petition helps boost public speaking in china, a skill hitherto undervalued.for me, though, the petition is a more personal experience.habitually shy, i had been reluctant to take part in any such activities.encouraged by my friends, however, i made a last-minute decision to give it a try.in the course of preparation i somehow rediscovered myself, a truer me.i found that, after all, i like municating with other people;that exchanging views can be so much fun—and so much rewarding, both emotionally and intellectually;that public speaking is most effective when you are least guarded;and that it is essential to success in every walk of life.at a more practical level, i realized knowing what you are going to say and how you are going to say it are equally important.to take the original ideas out of your head and transplant them, so to speak, to that of others, you need to have an organized mind.this ability improves with training.yet there should not be any loss or addition or distortion in the process.those ideas that finally find their way into another head need to be recognizably yours.language is a means to transmit information, not a

prosperity has bee a mon goal that we are striving for all over the world.underlying this mighty trend of global munication is the echo of e.m.forster's s ”only connect!“ with the it revolution, traditional boundaries of human society fall away.our culture, politics, society and merce are being sloshedsintosone large melting pot of humanity.in this interlinked world, there are no outsiders, for a disturbance in one place is likely to impact other parts of the globe.we have begun to realize that a world divided cannot endure.china is now actively integratingsintosthe world.our recent entry to the wto is a good exle.for decades, we have taken pride in being self-reliant, but now we realize the importance of participating in and contributing to a broader economic order.from a precarious role in the world arena to our present wto membership, we have e a long way.but what does the way ahead look like? in some parts of the world people are demonstrating against globalization.are they justified, then, in criticizing the globalizing world? instead of narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor, they say, globalization enables the developed nations to swallow the developing nations' wealth in debts and interest.globalization, they argue, should be about a mon interest in every other nation's economic health.we are reminded by karl marx that capital goes beyond national borders and eludes control from any other entity.this has bee a reality.multinational corporations are seeking the lowest cost, the largest market, and the most favourable policy.they are often powerful lobbyists in government decision-making, ruthless expansionists in the global market and a devastating presence to local businesses.for china, still more challenges exist.how are we going to ensure a smooth transition from the planned economy to a market-based one? how to construct a legal system that is sound enough and broad enough to respond to the needs of a dynamic society? how to maintain our cultural identity in an increasingly homogeneous world? and how to define greatness in our rise as a peace-loving nation? globalization entails questions that concern us all.like many young people my age in china, i want to see my country get prosperous and enjoy respect in the international munity.but it seems to me that mere patriotism is not just enough.it is vitally important that we young people do more serious thinking and broaden our mind to bigger issues.there might never be easy answers to those issues such as globalization, but to take them on and give them honest thinking is the first step to be prepared for both opportunities and challenges ing our way.this is also one of the thoughts that came to me while preparing this speech a story.there was once a physical 1)therapist(临床医学家)who traveled all the way from america to africa to do a 2)census(调查)about mountain 3)gorillas(大猩猩).these gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world;this put them severely under threat of 4)poaching(偷猎)and being put into the zoo.she went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures.she witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged we've ever been, where in the very depth of the african rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas 5)cuddled(拥抱)their babies。

yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called gorillas in the mist, based on a true story of mrs.dian fossey, who spent most of bet lifetime in rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.to me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a 6)timeless(永恒的)reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our ecoenvironment.today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems.on the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go.it has bee a lifestyle for some people, and has

turned out to be the driving force in gdp growth.it has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland of prosperity.but on the other hand, many problems can occur---natural scenes aren't natural anymore.deforestation to heat lodges is devastating nepal.oil spills from tourist boats are polluting antarctica.tribal people are forsaking their native music and dress to listen to u2 on walkman and wear nike and reeboks.all these 7)appalling(令人震惊的)facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been 8)eroding(侵蚀)our resources.encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the united nations has made XX the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the world's attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment.now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations an: receiving donations--big notes, small notes or even coins--from housewives, 9)plumbers(水管工人), ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and 10)invalids(残疾人), some of them can not afford to send the money but they do.these are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood.why? because they care.because they still want their mother nature back.because they know it still

belongs to them.this kind of feeling that i have, ladies and gentlemen, is when it feels like it, smells like it, and looks like it, it's all ing from a scene to remember, a scene to recall and to cherish.the other night, as l saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs.i found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to some-thing else, someplace else.a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seem to have been except the deer.and all those unforgettable scenes strengthened the feeling that it's lime for us to do something, for our own and our ing generation.once again, i have e to think of mrs.dian fossey be-cause it's with her spirit, passion, courage and strong sense of our ecoenvironment that we are taking our next step into the world.and no matter who we are, what we do and where we go, in our mind, there's always a scene to remember, a scene worth our effort to protect it and fight for it.

01】if i were a boy again

if i were a boy again, i would practice perseverance(毅力)more often, and never give up a thing because it was hard or inconvenient.if we want light, we must conquer darkness.perseverance can sometimes equal genius in its results.“there are only two creatures,” says a proverb, “who can surmount the pyramids—the eagle and the snail.”

if i were a boy again, i would school myself into a habit of attention;i would let nothing e between me and the subject in hand.i would remember that a good skater never tries to skate in two directions at once.the habit of attention bees part of our life, if we begin early enough.i often hear grown-up people say “i could not fix my attention on the lecture or book, although i wished to do so” , and the reason is, the habit was not formed in youth.if i were to live my life over again, i would pay more attention to the cultivation of the memory.i would strengthen that faculty by every possible means, and on every possible occasion.it takes a little hard work at first to remember things accurately;but memory soon helps itself, and gives very little trouble.it only needs early cultivation to bee a power.if i were a boy again, i would look on the cheerful side.life is very much like a mirror: if you smile upon it, i smile back upon you;but if you frown and look doubtful on it, you will get a similar look in return.inner sunshine warms not only the heart of the owner, but of all that e in contact with it.“who shuts love out ,in turn shall be shut out from love.”

finally, instead of trying hard to be happy, as if that were the sole purpose of life, i would, if i were a boy again, i would still try harder to make others happy.【译文】假如我又回到了童年,我做事要更有毅力,决不因为事情艰难或者麻烦而撒手不干,我们要光明,就得征服黑暗。

if we would ever acplish anything in life, let us not forget that we must persevere.if we would learn our lessons in school, we must be diligent and not give up whenever we e to anything difficult.we shall find many of our lessons very hard, but let us consider that the harder they are the better they will do to us if we will persevere and learn them thoroughly.but there are some among us who are ready to give up when they e to a hard exle in mathematics, and say, ”i can't do this.“ they never will if they feel so.”i can't“ never does anything worthwhile;but ”i'll try“ acplishes wonders.let us remember that we shall meet with difficulties all through life.they are in the pathway of everyone.if we will only try and keep trying, we shall be sure to conquer and overe every difficulty we meet with.if we have a hard lesson today, let us strive to learn it well and then we shall be prepared for a harder one tomorrow.and if we learn to master hard lessons in school, it will prepare us to overe the hard things that we shall meet in life, when our school days are over.【译文】

i’m ten years old.i e from huanxi primary school.i’m in class 3, grade 5. as a happy boy,i have many hobbies, such as sports, playing piano, singing, and drawing.

among them, travel is my favorist one.i have visited some other cities, like beijing, hainan, chongqing, guangxi, qindao, dalian and so on.

everywhere i went, i enjoyed the natural scenery and appreciated the human landscape very much.

not only that, i want to go abroad to take in the beauty of the custom of other countries in the future.

and i even dream about what the life will be when we are on planets other than our earth. that is why i’m so interested in the following scientific report recently.

在我们享受的时候懂得珍惜 cherish what we are enjoying it is a report about the new planet which holds possibility for life.

it shows that european astronomers have discovered a new planet, they name it gliese 581 c. it is about 20.5 light years from our earth.they estimated the planet's average temperature at between 0 and 40 degrees centigrade.it is orbiting the red dwarf star, gliese 581.

most important of all, it’s an earth-like planet.there might be mountin, sea and liquid water.

so the astronomers believe that it is potentially habitable.

however, gliese 581 c might be ”tidally locked" to it’s sun-the dwarf star the way our moon is to the earth.

it means that it must always show its same face to its sun, and that while one side would be too fiercely hot to support life, the other side would be too cold.

this report makes me to realize that how valuable our earth is.这使我认识到我们地球有多么珍贵!everyday, we can see sunrise and sunset.

the day and night keeps on exchanging.it’s not too hot in the daytime while not to cold at night.

everyday, i go to school cheerfully in the morning and skip along at the way home as the sun set.

we could experience changes through the four seasons of one year.

spring is the season sowing seeds.it is pregnant with life and green.

in the summer, colorful swimming suits frolick in the water happily.

autumn is the harvest season , the paddy fields and trees are covered with golden color.

in the winter,we can have snow battle, playing to our hearts' content in the world of silvery white. how fortunate we are because we can live on the earth!

we should cherish it, instead of polluting it, spoiling it or even destroying it.我们要珍惜它,千万别污染它,别糟践它,别破坏它!if one day, it is really angry and stop rotation, that will have be a disaster for us human being.

so, let us protect our earth with our love, making it better and more harmonious.

ladies and gentlemen, now let me show you a story about the monkey and the moon.

one day, a little monkey is playing by the well. he looks in the well and shouts :

“oh!my god!the moon has fallen into the well!”“噢! 月亮掉到井里头啦!” an older monkeys runs over, takes a look, and says, 一只大猴子跑来一看,说,“goodness me!the moon is really in the water!” 月亮掉在井里头啦!” and the oldest monkey es over.

he is very surprised as well and cries out: 他也非常惊奇,喊道: “the moon is in the well.” “糟了,月亮掉在井里头了!” a group of monkeys run over to the well.

一群猴子跑到井边来,they look at the moon in the well and shout: 他们看到井里的月亮,喊道:

“the moon did fall into the well!e on!let’s get it out!” 让我们把它捞起来!” then, the oldest monkey hangs on the tree up side down ,with his feet on the branch.然后,老猴子倒挂在大树上,and he pulls the next monkey’s feet with his hands.拉住大猴子的脚,all the other monkeys follow his suit, 其他的猴子一个个跟着,and they join each other one by one down to the moon in the well.

just before they reach the moon, the oldest monkey raises his head and happens to see the moon in the sky, 正好他们摸到月亮的时候,老猴子抬头发现月亮挂在天上呢 he yells excitedly “don’t be so foolish!the moon is still in the sky!”

月亮还好好地挂在天上呢!” this is the end of the story.do you like it?

hope you all can remember me, wangqihang, a happy guy like the sunshine. wele you to visit my blog at http://blog.sina..cn/u/1274563887 欢迎大学到 访问我的博客。thank you very much.

our every sensory nerve.so concerning that much sentiment music can express, i believe it is music that has gathered different parts of the world together, spanning both time and space gaps.furthermore, people nowadays don’t just use music simply for regulating the atmosphere or something like that.in psychology especially psychophysiology, music has been explored quite a lot for its effects on human’s brain, either for treatment or training skills.to sum up, i don’t think it’s improper to exaggerate a bit that life without music is just like a fish living without water.indeed, with respect to all the colorful feelings music brings as well as the instrumental influence that music exerts on us, music, is the that has changed the world.
