对第二外语(韩语)课程教学改革的思考

【摘 要】随着“一带一路”倡议的提出,社会对双语人才的需求不断增加。第二外语(韩语)课程的设置十分必要,但目前第二外语(韩语)课程教学效果远没有达到社会需求。文章分析了选择第二外语(韩语)课程的英语专业学生特点,阐述了第二外语(韩语)课程教学现状以及教学改革方面的一系列思考。

随着“一带一路”倡议的提出,外语教育面临新的机遇和挑战。一方面催生新的外语服务市场,对外语人才数量的需求激增;另一方面对外语课程改革以及人才培养目标调整提出了新的要求。培养“复合型”“双语型”人才,是高校外语教育应对改革的重要举措。这就要求英语专业学生除了精通英语之外,还需要掌握第二外语。近年来,中韩经贸合作密切,很多英语专业学生选择将韩语作为自己的第二外语,借此帮助自己增加就业砝码,提高就业竞争力。然而,目前的第二外语(韩语)课程教学效果远没有达到社会需求。下面笔者将就选择第二外语(韩语)课程的英语专业学生特点以及教学现状进行阐述,并对教学改革提出几点合理化建议。

一、英语专业学生特点

(一)学习动机不同

英语专业的学生选择第二外语(韩语)课程的动机大致分为以下几类:兴趣型、修满学分型、考研型、出国深造型等。学习动机不同,决定了学生对第二外语(韩语)课程的教学内容强度、难度的要求不同。兴趣型的学生希望课堂上多涉及“韩流”;修满学分型的学生多希望课堂内容轻松简单;考研型的学生多注重笔试内容;出国深造型的学生希望侧重口语表达。所谓众口难调,学生多根据自己的偏好参与二外课堂,配合度不高。

(二)语言基础薄弱

英语专业学生的韩语基础几乎为零,很多学生虽然通过韩剧等提前接触过韩语,但都没有进行过系统学习,发音和对韩语的理解上存在偏差。因此,韩语学习需从最基础的语音开始。在语音学习阶段,学生容易混淆双收音;词汇、语法学习阶段,学生一般出现理解、记忆慢、遗忘快等问题。韩语学习过程中的种种问题,极易让学生产生抗拒、厌烦心理,不利于后续学习内容的展开。

(三)投入的韩语学习时间较少

学生一般将主要精力放在专业课英语的学习上,而对第二外语(韩语)课程投入的时间较少。任何一门语言的学习都没有捷径,都需要不断重复、积累、总结。但很多学生仅仅依靠每周的第二外语课上时间来学习韩语,课上不吸收,课后不消化,学习效果可想而知。

二、第二外语(韩语)课程教学现状

(一)课时量少,与教学内容量不符

第二外语(韩语)课程的教学目标是培养学生的韩语综合能力。培养目标的综合性无疑要求教学内容的丰富性、全面性、多样性。然而第二外语(韩语)课程的周课时量一般为2-4课时,课时量少,和教学内容量不符。教师为了完成课本上的教学任务量,不得不在课堂上大量“灌输”知识,但结果往往是实现了“量”,却忽略了“质”,教学内容的丰富性、全面性、多样性更无从谈起。

(二)教学方法传统,学生参与度低

第二外语(韩语)课程一般为大班授课,学生数在60~70人之间。由于学生数量较多,很多互动环节不易操作,教师往往选择最传统的教学方法――讲授法,即由教师讲授单词、语法、课文、练习,学生处于被动的听众地位,课堂参与度较低,语言实际运用能力也得不到较好的训练。

(三)笔试教育为主,评价方式单一

第二外语(韩语)课程的学生成绩一般由平时成绩和期末成绩两项组成,平时成绩多考虑学生出勤率,占30%;期末成绩占70%。也就是说,教师主要通过期末笔试成绩来完成对学生的评价,评价机制无疑具有单一性、绝对性的弊端。学生为了顺利通过笔试,往往把学习精力都放在笔头功夫上,忽视了韩语听说、综合能力的培养,不免出现“哑巴韩语”“高分低能”的现象。

三、第二外语(韩语)课程教学改革的建议

笔者根据英语专业学生特点,认真思考第二外语(韩语)课程教学现状暴露出来的问题,结合课堂实践,对教学改革提出以下几点建议。

(一)转变学生观念,加强对韩语的重视

通过分析第二外语(韩语)课堂上的英语专业学生特点不难看出,学生在二外学习的重视、参与、努力程度方面存在问题。高效的韩语课堂,需要教师和学生的共同合作。因此,必须首先转变学生的观念,让他们认识到韩语课不仅仅是一门二外课。掌握第二外语(韩语),可以帮助他们增加就业砝码,更好地满足社会对人才的需求;在考研、出国深造等方面也可以增强自身竞争力。

(二)提高教师专业水平,形成独特的教学风格

第二外语(韩语)课程的任课教师也应端正教学态度,用心上好二外课。要不断提高自身专业水平,拓宽知识面,不拘泥于大纲和教材,与时俱进,多为自己充电;形成独特的教学风格,用自身魅力感染学生,带动学生积极参与二外课堂;加强自我反思,思考、探索和解决二外课堂中存在的问题,不断完善二外课堂,努力实现教学效果最优化。

(三)合理设置课时量和教学内容,提高学生综合能力

语言具有工具性和人文性的特征,这就要求教师在第二外语(韩语)课堂上除了培养学生的听、说、读、写、译能力和跨文化交际能力外,还要让学生了解韩国的社会历史与文化,增进学生对不同文化的理解。因此,除了教授课本词汇、语法等知识外,教师还要尽可能地充实教学内容,例如由单词引申韩国饮食、酒文化,由语法、句子分析韩国人思维等;同时加强听说训练,切实提高学生的韩语综合运用能力。但第二外语无法达到专业课的课时量,在条件允许的情况下,应适当增加课时量,教师根据现有课时量合理安排教学内容,实现效果最优化。

(四)创新教学环节和方法,提高学生参与度

改变传统单一的讲授法,采用对比法、交际法、情景模拟法、游戏法等教学方法,注重对学生的引导、启发,提高学生参与度。如韩语中有大量的汉字词、英语外来词,先让学生猜测这些词的意思,并引导他们对比中韩、英?n词汇发音、意义的不同;在学习韩语数词时,可用游戏法,尽可能给学生创造轻松愉悦的学习环境;在语法讲解过程中,为学生创造韩语语境,让学生切实感受到语法的用法;在学习课文时,要求学生自编对话,鼓励学生用韩语展开交流。

(五)活用现代化教学手段,增强学生兴趣

充分利用多媒体教学手段,在教学中适当加入视频、音频、图片等。如讲解韩国的婚礼文化时,可先向学生展示韩国婚礼视频,激发学生学习兴趣,调动学生学习积极性;讲解韩国饮食时,可先通过热播韩剧《来自星星的你》的“炸鸡啤酒”片段引出主题,再通过诱人的美食图片激发学生的词汇学习兴趣;简单常用的韩语句型,可以引入音频、短片,让学生模仿发音,强化记忆。

(六)完善评价机制,实现测试方式多样化

要想提高学生的韩语综合能力,对学生的评价就不能仅限于期末笔试,测试考查也不能仅限于写。要将听、说、读、写、译的训练和测试贯穿于课堂教学的各个环节。如语音阶段严格把关,可通过读句子、读文段、说简单用语等方式对学生进行考查;学习对话、课文之前,先让学生听音频,并将听到的内容用韩语表达出来,再根据音频进行听写训练。将这些训练都记入对学生的评价、测试内容,细化评价标准,切实提高学生的韩语综合应用能力。

四、结语

第二外语(韩语)课程的开设,是英语专业培养复合型人才的重要方式之一。但教学过程中也会出现各种各样的问题。各个院校的具体实际不同,问题也会有所不同。响应“一带一路”倡议,结合社会的需求适时进行教学改革,调整教学方案,有助于高校外语教育实现人才培养目标,从而更好地为战略实施提供社会化服务。
