University as I See It
Some people say that college life is colorful, while some say that it is boring, empty, and is a waste of youth.Anyway in my point of view, there are two key elements of university life that we must aware.University in my eyes is not only an ivory tower made up of buildings, libraries, teachers and students.The academic knowledge we study is far from what a university should teach us.We should abandon the scrupulous method of learning instead of excavating individual proficiency through all kinds of opportunities university offers.Opportunities like being taught how to get along with people you dislike, or how to hold a party, or how to deal with a big pile of review within a week.As for me, I haven’t found any clue about how to refuse others in text books until I put myself into the practice.Besides, university in my eyes is also a period for us to pursue an ideal.The ideal can be lifelong, or just a short one.Being educated in university prevents us from overswinging among too many ideals.It offers us some exact targets to reach, simplifying our life pattern to some extend.Thus we may be not that puzzled about what capacity we actually have and what sort of job we can deal with.To pursue higher education, or to walk into the work world, it is a question.But our counterparts outside university have much more decisions to make for living than we do.Anyhow every footprint we leave on university’s ground witnesses our steps of growth.And I do believe that we will be different after these four years.许琳琳
