小贴士：重英语的专业

(1)现在的自然科学一般都是发源于西方，国际学术圈子的主流语言还是英语，需要读研的学生阅读英文的文献，了解学术的最前沿。

(2)概括说来，社会科学门类重英语基础的专业主要分布在两大类专业中，一类是比较类的专业，如比较文学，比较教育学，比较法学等。另一类是需要直接学习西方内容的专业，如西方哲学，国际经济与贸易学，国际新闻等专业。

2.《求学·考研》：在您看来，英语在复试中的重要程度?

王德华：复试英语，硕士不是太看重，因为笔试的考试已经很严格了。

文双春：不是决定性因素，只要过了初试英语关，基本上没有因为英语而被淘汰掉的。

3.《求学·考研》：在这些年的复试中，您所看到的学生的英语水平如何?

李明阳：国内的英语教学更多的还是哑巴英语，虽然有的学生六级过了，翻译的证书考了。

吕喆：从考试和面试层面看总体是满意的，但有的学生实际的英语水平没有其考分高。

王德华：第一种，找一位从海外回来的老师问学生一些问题，这往往是考查学生的口语和交流能力。一般是冷不丁的问一个英语问题，两三句话就能考查出来学生的听力和口语。第二种，是给一段文字，可能是一些网上的文献，也可能是国外的教材，让学生阅读和翻译，了解学生的阅读和理解能力。

小贴士：翻译小技巧

一般来说，所给的文献多是与专业相关的综述性文章。而参加复试可能有不少跨专业考研的，考虑到复试的公平性，导师随机摘选段落让你阅读翻译，是根据你的表达来判断你的理解概括能力。所以不要一字一句地翻译，这样容易出现词不达意、句子组织混乱。你只要看懂文章的大致意思，就可以适当发挥。

5.《求学·考研》：在复试中，导师会用英语问专业问题吗?

李明阳：我们学校我们专业的复试，基本上没有拿英语问过专业的问题。

王德华：不多，都是问一般的问题。

文双春：没有必要，因为学生还没有接触到专业英语。一般不会拿英语问专业问题，一般都是简单的对话。

小贴士：经典面试问题

分析：这一问题如果面试没有安排自我介绍的时间的话。这是一个必问的问题。考官并不希望你大谈你的个人历史。是在寻找有关你性格、资历、志向和生活动力的线索。

(2)What would you like to be doing five years after graduation?(在毕业以后5年内你想做些什么?)

分析：你要清楚你实际上能胜任什么。

(3)What is your greatest strength?(你最突出的优点是什么?)

分析：这是很多面试考官喜欢问的一个问题，这是你“展示自己”的最佳机会，不要吹嘘自己或过于自负，但要让雇主知道你相信自己，你知道自己的优点。

吕喆：不是标准，但对录取多少有些影响。

文双春：现在的四六级作为一种社会化考试，招生单位是不怎么认的。在我们学校的推免和研究生奖学金的评定中，都没有这方面的要求，最多就是参考，而不能作为一个衡量标准。

7.《求学·考研》：有的学生初试之后，为了能够在复试之中增加胜算，专门去考一下雅思、托福等语言证书，您认为有必要吗?

王德华：专门为了复试去考，划不来，没有必要。但是如果已经有了这些成绩，展示一下，问题也不大。英语水平还是主要通过你的表述，和老师的对话，听力考试等来考核的。没有必要刻意的去参加这些培训。

小贴士：复试英语注意细节

(1)介绍自己姓名时，发音一定要准(南方考生要多加注意)。

(2)一定要把原来学校的英文名称、专业的英文名称弄清楚(尤其是跨校、跨专业的学生)。

(3)待考官明确说出“This is the end of the test, thank you”之后，再站起来，拿好自己的东西，如准考证，与考官说再见：“Thank you, goodbye.”或“Thank you for your interview，goodbye.”然后离开。

(4)对于考官所提问题不能用只言片语来应付，尽量避免只用YES或NO回答，一定要有原因或例子;但也不能不加控制盲目乱说，要注意听完考官的指示语后再回答。
