浅谈初中英语素质教育

随着我国教育事业的不断发展，传统的“应试教育”的教学模式已经不能满足当代教育的需求。呼之而出的是一种新的教学模式“素质教育”，而英语做为一门特殊的学科，在素质教育的问题上显得尤为重要。在全球化日益加深的今天，新时代对英语人才提出了更完备、更全面的要求。使得英语教学面临新的机遇与挑战，而如何在教学中贯彻素质教育培养出符合时代需求的英语人才是英语教学中解决的首要任务。作为一名中学英语教师，我认为要实施好初中英语素质教育应做把握好以下几个方面：

一、转变教育观念，面向全体学生

“素质教育”是针对“应试教育”的弊端提出来的。素质教育是以提高人的素质为目的的教育，它与“应试教育”的主要不同在于教育观、质量观、学生观、教学观的不同，具体体现在如下几个方面：

从培养目标看，素质教育力求德、智、体、美、劳全面发展，应试教育只重视智育；从对待学生看，素质教育而向全体学生，而应试教育只面向少数成绩好的学生；从教学内容看，素质教育着眼于素质的全面提高，应试教育强调考什么教什么，不考不教；从教学过程看，素质教育注重启发学生生动活泼、自主地学习，应试教育则是老师一讲到底，忽视了学生的主动参与；从教学方法看，素质教育是师生双向活动，重视学科能力的提高，变讲授知识为训练综合技能，应试教育则不论学生层次与个性差异满堂灌，大搞题海战术，学生被动、机械地学习，作业负担过重，心理负担过重。

因此，我们要坚决反对应试教育，毫不犹豫地变应试教育为素质教育，这是深化教育改革的关键。在英语教学中，尤其要改进教学方法，加强对学生在学法方面的指导，使学生掌握语言学习规律，形成有效的学习策略，养成良好的学习习惯，尽可能创设一个适宜于英语情景交际的语言环境，使学生综合运用语言的能力得到提高，使素质教育落实到日常教学之中。

二、营造良好环境，培养学生兴趣

良好的语言环境是培养学习兴趣的基本前提，是使教学顺利完成的重要保

证，是学生学习的主要动力。这就要求教师在教学过程中给学生创造一个良好的教学环境，使学生轻松愉快地学习文化知识。教师在授课的过程中尽量使用英语表达，且声色并茂，使学生产生兴趣。但针对学生水平参差不齐的现象，教师在说完英语的同时也要用中文再适当地重复一遍，使学生更进一步的理解老师的意思，并且使更多的同学能够参与到课堂中来。只有激发学生的学习兴趣和学习热情才能更好的进行教学。在英语教学中要不断地灵活使用各种教学方法，实施“学有所乐，学有所得”的教学，不断激发学生的兴趣。初中英语是一门绘声绘色的学科，在教学的过程中，教师可以将教材中有趣的图片和对话联系起来。例如涉及到与水果有关的教学内容时，教师可以把图片中的东西拿到现实生活中来，比如苹果，香蕉，橘子等水果教师可以用真正地实物拿在课堂中，请学生说出水果的英文名，若学生回答正确即可获得该水果，通过这种教学方式大大增强了学生的学习兴趣，达到事半功倍的效果。再者，教师可以充分利用现代多媒体技术，将教学内容制成幻灯片或flash动画的形式进行授课，使学生更容易接受和理解，同时，可适当地给学生播放一些具有教育意义的外国影片，在愉悦的同时也使学生的听力得到了锻炼，更重要的是可以在学生的头脑中潜移默化的形成一种学好英语的重要性的意识。最后，在课外，现在的孩子都喜欢QQ聊天，教师可以投其所好，为班级创建一个QQ群，让同学们在这样一个群里使用简单的日常英语口语进行简单的交流，这种利用QQ群交流学习的新方式取代了守旧古板的英语角，学生在群里活跃的过程中不仅拉近了师生之间的关系，并且使学生产生了学习英语的兴趣，让学生在轻轻松松的交流中学会了不少简单实用的口语。

三、强调科学有效的教学方式

之所以进行课改推行素质教育，目的是在于培养学生的自主学习的能力。俗话说：“授人以鱼，不如授之以渔”，因此要变“学会”为“会学”。在引导学生强化记忆的同时，更要强调学生自主学习能力的培养，首先是预习环节，预习，是起到一个“心中有数”的作用，在预习初期，教师要给予一定的指导，明确方向，指明预习中的重点和难点，使学生思路清晰，对教学内容有初步的了解和认识。当逐步形成自主学习的意识的时候，教师则可以要求学生进行自我预习，并试着找出重点和难点。最后则将课堂的主动权交给学生，但却不能缺少一定的制约，否则将会成为“放羊式”教学。其次是复习，复习也是教学中必不可少的一

个环节，孔子曾说：“温故而知新”，这已成为千年不变的真理。通过复习，可以起到巩固和查缺补漏的作用。使学生对教学内容有更加完善和系统的认识和理解。最后，改错本，在英语教学中是每个同学必备的。在经过系统的学习后，很多错误知识在学生的头脑中形成，造成“一错再错”的现象，学生只有将其错误写在改错本上不断地提醒自己，才能在今后的学习中改正过来。

四、加大继续教育培训力度，提高教师素质

首先要提高教师的思想政治素质和职业道德素质，新时期的教师要有爱岗敬业、热爱学生、主动探索教育教学规律并为之改革率先垂范的创业精神，为人师表，教书育人。

其次，教师要提高自身的专业文化素质，深入领会教学大纲，全面透彻地掌握教材，熟悉语言教学规律，研究学生心理和学习策略，同时加深对英语国家历史背景、人文地理、民俗风情等跨文化的理解，了解中西方文化的差异，拓宽知识结构和视野，在教学中有的放矢。提高教师素质，一方面需要组织加强培训，通过学历进修和非学历进修，继续再教育培训等来完成，另一方面也需要教师自身的业务进修，研究教育法、心理学、社会学等理论，学习了解认知法、听说法、功能法等教学流派的基本特征，用现代最新语言教学理论指导自己的实践而得以完成。

第三，教师不断提高自身的教学水平和教学能力，不断总结、积累教学经验，研究教学方法，参与教改实验，撰写教研论文，以教研促教学，增强“科研先行”意识，做好使自己由“经验型”向“研究型”教师转变工作，使英语教学工作科学化，大面积提高教学质量，顺利完成基础教育阶段素质教育赋予我们的历史使命。

英语是学习文化科学知识，获取世界各方面信息，进行国际交流的重要工具，掌握英语在当今中国尤为重要。在中学英语教学中，实施素质教育势在必行。

一、注重德育，紧抓思想教育

英语教学大纲就指出：教学内容要渗透思想道德因素，要寓思想教育于教学之中。英语新教材寓思想性、教育性于一体，在初中英语教学中，我注意结合教材内容对学生进行思想品德方面的教育。在备课过程中，我努力挖掘教材的德育潜力，帮助学生提高文化素养，启迪他们正确的人生观，培养美好的思想感情，激发他们积极向上的道德情操。如，在讲授Waste[SEFCUnitVI]一课，使学生认识到目前世界污染的严重性，教育学生要有环境保护意识，珍惜资源、净化环境，建设美好家园。

二、激发求知欲望，培养自信心

没有爱就没有教育。如果教师能够和学生建立友好的合作关系，而且长期共同承担任务和解决问题，那么，这种相互交往就会促进学生的学习欲望。在教学中，我遵循教学规律，了解学生，热爱学生，在有限的课堂教学实践中与学生沟通思想，激发他们的求知欲望。我坚持以饱满的热情传授语言知识，安排好不同层次的学生在课堂上活动，平等、公正地对待每一个学生，使其个性得到最大程度的表现，让每个学生都感受到成功的喜悦。对学生的点滴进一步及时表扬,让学生感到自己在不断进步,有新“成就”，这样就增强了学生的学习自信心。对后进生则经常与之促膝谈心，成为他们的良师益友，多鼓励、少责备，鼓励他们树立信心，指导他们学习的方法，义务为他们辅导，不厌其烦地为他们解疑答难。

三、坚持值日生报告制度

学习英语不是学习一种知识，而是学习一种技能。要掌握一门技能，必须多实践。因此，课堂上我坚持开展以口语训练为主的课前五分钟的值日活动。课前几分钟的“热身活动”是师生间进行情感交流的渠道之一。通过dutyreport,freetalk,storytelling,Enghshsongs,acting等系列活动，让每个学生都有均等的锻炼机会，培养了学生实际运用英语的能力，增加了学生的勇气和信心，增进了学生与学生之间，学生与教师之间的感情。

四、利用电教媒体，培养学生能力

电化教学作为一种新型的、先进的教学手段，以其突出的直观性、形象性和生动性，对积极调动学生进行感知、理解、记忆和巩固起了极大的促进作用。充分利用现代电化教学设备，在课堂上借助录音、投影、电视等的立体效应，不但可以激发学生兴趣，调动学生学习的积极性，还能减轻学生课业负担，发挥学生学习的主动性，提高学生获取知识的能力。

五、创设情景，活跃课堂气氛

创设情景，使学生在兴趣盎然中掌握新知识。创设情景，学生学起来轻轻松松，说起来津津乐道，整个教学活动生动活泼，不仅激发了学习兴趣，而且把课文的篇章结构、思想感情放在突出地位。既有利于学生理解、掌握和运用语言，又有助于他们熟练掌握基础知识。总之，在英语教学中，不但要让学生学到知识点还要把素质教育潜移默化的融入其中，达到思想性、教育性于一体。

摘要：随着近年来素质教育的广泛提倡，越来越多的教育单位将学生综合素质教育提上了发展的日程，尤其是在初中英语教育工作开展中，更加关注学生的全身心培养，企图通过全面的素质教育工作开展，促使学生在英语学习的最佳阶段，达到思维及实践运用层面的全面提升。因为青少年是祖国未来发展的希望，而英语作为广泛普及的一大语种，具有着极强的社会应用特性，如果没有一个良好的教育环境及教育机制予以支持，那么必然会导致学生在日后的英语实用过程中出现同社会脱节的状况。所以当前学生英语素质教育的过程中，学校也面临着传统教育的深化改革，如何正视这种教育改革问题，以良好的素质教育理念展开针对性的教学，对学生英语学习予以引导，现实而必然。

关键词：初中英语；素质教育；教学方法；提升

初中英语课程是现代语言学中的一门重要学科工具，其主要的教学目的是为了促使学生掌握更加扎实的英语基础知识，并将这种知识进一步转化为英语口语交际的实际技能，进一步养成良好学习习惯，为将来不如社会奠定基础。基于当下教育形式的不断发展变化，也要求了新时期教师英语教育工作开展中广泛实施素质教育，助推学生的全面发展，在新编英语教学大纲中对于素质教育思想理念进行了进一步贯穿，提出以交际运用英语能力培养作为学生初中英语学习的基础，以学生思想道德修养及文化综合素质提升作为教学的主体目标，以此达到学生整体思想技能的有效。作为一名初中英语教师，本人对于英语教学中如何贯穿执行素质教育理念，具有着深刻的体会，同时也在初中英语课堂教学中总结了相应多元的素质教育方法经验，再本案中将一一做出论述。

一、通过课堂设疑方法创新课堂教学气氛

良好的课堂教学氛围营造是新时期初中英语素质教育活动开展的重要基础，对于此环节的深度把握是教师创新教学模式的重要根本。英语课堂教学中每一个教学步骤环节军营良性设置出信息传递障碍，要学生在突破这类信息障碍的过程中，达到学习的层层推进。实际运用中，教师能够依据相应教学语言材料及内容进行设计存在较大灵活变通度的题目，组织学生通过自主的查阅资料，寻找信息进行总结解决问题的方法，得出最终答案，同时题目的设计中对于答案不应是固化统一的，应当保证答案的多元化，这样便于教师对学生的激励，也能够有效培养学生思考的多维视角，达到学生求异思维能力的培养。在学生完成问题回答后，教师能够引导学生对不同学生所作出的答案进行讨论、辩论，在问题辩论的过程中，令每一学生对自身通过语言材料查阅后的结论作出阐述，即能塑造学生良好的独立自主思考能力，同时也塑造了学生的创新精神意识。在学生浓郁讨论兴趣消褪后，由教师作出对诸多学生讨论结果的总结，分析诸多学生观点的优势，并总结可延伸的知识要点，使学生能够在后续学习中有效避免问题思考误区，敏锐的从问题中寻求到知识信息。以此类教育形式进行塑造良好的课堂氛围，即可有效避免传统课堂中教师作为主体而产生的课堂沉闷现状，激发学生英语学习的兴趣。

二、在课堂教学过程中培养学生创新能力

教师在实际课堂教学中，除却要注重自身教学模式的创新，还应切实关注学生创新能力的培养，因为学生创新能力的培养也是教育模式创新的实际体现。对于学生创新能力的培养需关注下述四个层面内容；

（一）课堂中需鼓励学生突破思束缚，完善创新。

教师在教学中需要鼓励引导学生打破定式思维，敢于“s a y N o”，以此促使学生从多元角度及侧面思考问题，在教学活动中，教师作为课堂组织者需多运用新型教学模式，鼓励学生标新立异，以自我见解进行回答教师所提问题，要学生大胆提出问题，展开讨论，对踊跃提问学生，教师需及时给予表扬，达到学生激励的效果。

（二）营造自由宽松课堂氛围，激发学生个性化发展

宽松的教学氛围，是塑造学生自由个性的基本，师生间通过融洽的课堂氛围能够达到亲密关系的形成，便于学生创造能力形成，培育学生自信。所以教师教学中要对学生多进行鼓励，对学生学习成绩和优点与创新思维进行及时评价。笔者在课堂中还常采取“英语家常话”形式对每节课重点知识和新知识点做出牵引，并采取系列活动促使学生在充满活跃层次的气氛中对语言知识做出理解掌握及现实运用。

（三）引领学生创造性使用语言

学生学习英语过程中会面临着英语与母语在语汇和语音等表达层面的冲突，这种矛盾冲突恰恰是吸引学生自我总结归纳英语语言学习规律的契机，比如在英语语法教学中，学生通常会对汉语中表示“有”的结构“there be”和“h a v e/h a s”产生质疑，教师即能够以合理形式进行对学生进行分析引导，促使学生以创造性理解人士掌握好语言的规律。能够组织学生整合存在“there be”和“have/has”结构的实际例句，并对这些句子做出罗列分类，学生们对于句子展开罗列的过程，便是自主学习的过程，在此过程中学生即可发现“have/has”是表示“拥有”，而“there be”是表示“在...有...”。

三、利用英语课外活动培养学生自主创新精神

富有趣味性和启发性的英语课外活动，是保证学生自由灵活对课堂知识进行创造性运用的基础，学生能够在英文交流的过程中把握好英语知识结构，也是当前极为常用的一种英语教育模式，是实现学生创造思维培养的切实途径。所以现实中教师需要依据学生实际水平进行适当活动的展开，促使学生在活动中体验到英语学习的乐趣及问题攻克的快感。在课外兴趣教育活动中教师要专注与学生一统姜英语活动室空间布置成富有趣味性的“English Corner”。比如在英语角内布置Household Corne r、Reading Corner和Audio-video Corner,以生活功能区、阅览功能区和视听功能区的布置，充分将生活中的实际物景进行利用开展英语学习，并采取自编自演英语小品及制作英语创意贺卡、写英语书评等活动，使学生英语学习兴趣和英语实用能力得到提高,促使学生从单纯的英语活动知识学习把握，转化为活动语言交际创造，实现素质技能的全面提升

总而言之，在当前针对初中英语教学中学生素质教育的创新培养,是统筹新课程改革要求全面展开的,也是英语教学不断创新活动实效的有效手段。
