《格列佛游记》 教学目标:

3、情感、态度与价值观: 学习斯威夫特的尖锐的讽刺艺术和忧世情怀,并由此对社会、人生有新的感悟。

教学过程:
一、导入新课 1726年在英国出版了一本新书,它刚一问世就受到读者的热烈欢迎,一周之内售空;三周售出一万册。出版几个多世纪以来,被翻译成几十种语言,在世界各国广为流传。作者运用了讽刺影射的手法,反映当时英国的自大和狂妄。它是什么书呢?对了,它就是英国作家斯威夫特的《格列佛游记》。
二、阅读名著的方法:
(一)先读前言、后记和目录。阅读一本书的前言、后记和目录能对这本书的写作背景、作者情况、写作目的和大致内容有个初步的了解。
(二)略读与精读相结合。略读全书,有利于整体把握主要内容,精彩部分和难点则需要像读课文一样精读,二者结合,收获更多。
(三)做点读书笔记。可以抄名言、写摘要、作批注、列提纲、制卡片,画图表,写心得等。此外,在阅读过程中还要注意利用工具书和有关参考资料,以加深理解,扩展视野。
三、泛读
1、泛读小说,请同学们简要介绍一下作者和创作背景。乔纳森·斯威夫特(1667~1745),英国讽刺作家、政治家、诗人,以讽刺作品名垂青史。

2、这部书艺术上最大的特点是讽刺,当时的英国是作者抨击和挖苦的对象。小说不但抨击了社会现状。
小说第一卷中所描绘的小人国的情景乃是当时大英帝国的缩影。小说的第二卷则通过大人国国王对格列佛引以为荣的英国选举制度、议会制度以及种种政教措施所进行的尖锐的抨击,对当时英国各种制度及政教措施表示了怀疑和否定。小说的第三卷,作者把讽刺的锋芒指向了当时的英国哲学家,脱离实际、沉溺于幻想的科学家,荒诞不经的发明家和颠倒黑白的评论家和史学家等。小说第四卷,作者利用格列佛回答一连串问题而揭露了战争的实质、法律的虚伪和不择手段以获得公爵地位的可耻行为等。
