旋律要优美,要符合中国的社会文化形式;歌曲所传递的信息应易于理解;歌曲的词句应非常清晰,能够适合进行语言训练;歌曲的内容应符合学生的水平或能满足特定的教学目的;所选歌曲应是健康向上、教人自信自强、激发人们奋发向上的励志歌曲。英文歌曲在教学中只是一种手段,教师一定要运用得当。

当然,创设英语课堂教学情境的方法还有很多,利用实物,简笔画,课堂表演等都可创设课堂教学情景。总之,教师可根据教材内容精心设计,认真创设与学生学习内容和生活实践相契合的情景,并灵活运用它来组织课堂教学,就能给课堂带来良好的学习氛围。心理学家托兰斯说:“我们想要创设就需要提出一个友善和奖赏的环境,以便使之在其中繁荣发展。”可见,好的情景设计能够让学生置身于一个美妙的学习氛围,感受语言,享受到语言沟通的快乐。因此,教师在创设情境时,不能为了创设情境而创设情境,或者只是简单地把教师主观认为较好的情境让学生去感受。无视学生的感受,或者情境设计过于虚假,没有用心地从教材,观察生活摄取材料,而人为编制一些单一重复令学生产生厌烦情绪的情境;或者某些情境过于简单,毫无挑战性,学生也会生厌。因此,创设恰如其分的情境,应当注意以下几个问题。

Storyteller:The monkey got on the elephant's back; soon they got to the other bank.There stands the tree.It was so tall that the fruit hung high above them.(猴子爬到大象背上,很快他们就到了河对岸,果树高高地立在那儿,果子在他们头顶上方悬挂着。)[The elephant tried to break the tree down,but it was too strong.He tried to reach the fruit with his trunk,but it was too high.](大象试图把大树扳倒,可是树太结实,扳不动;他又试图用鼻子去够那些果子,可是果子太高,够不着。)

Monkey:Wait a minute,I can climb the big tree.(等一等,我能爬上那棵大树。)[The monkey ran quickly up the tree,and threw the rich,ripe fruit to the ground.The elephant put the fruit in his mouth.(猴子很快爬到树上,把那些熟透了的果子都装进自己的大嘴里。)

Storyteller:Then they crossed the river again,and gave the owl some of fruit they had picked.(然后他们又渡过了河,把采摘的果子分一些给猫头鹰。)

Elephant&Monkey:Now,which is better—to be strong or to be quick?(现在说吧,哪个更好 ——— 是强壮还是敏捷?)

Owl:neither of you could get the fruit alone.It took both the elephant's strength and the monkey's quickness to get it.Can you tell me which is better ?(你们自己谁也摘不到果子,只有大象的强壮和猴子的敏捷加起来才能摘到果子。谁能说出哪个更好呢?)
