出国留学热，导致中学生出国留学的主要有：一是部分人先富起来，家庭经济条件较好，每年支付孩子十万元到二十万元人民币的留学费用已不成问题。二是国内升学和就业竞争压力加大，中学生要面对中考、高考的激烈竞争，相当多的家长担心孩子如果考不上重点中学，就会导致考不上好大学，最终影响就业和前途。三是教育市场国际化，外国学校看好中国市场。

这些出国留学生的家长们主要是想让孩子们出国去学习国外先进的科学技术、管理理念等，同时，希望子女能开开眼界，吸收国外一些新兴知识，不做“井底之蛙”，让孩子将来能具备社会独立能力和丰富知识面，使其人生能有较大的发展或飞跃。

我认为，留学与爱国主义不存在丝毫矛盾。这个问题只是某些人片面（甚至是偏执）看待事物的产物而已。

请问学英语是否代表不爱国？

请问出国旅游是否代表不爱国？

上述问题的答案是显而易见的。当今世界，“全球化”趋势已是必然。我们不可能再像二百年前那样一味沉醉于自我力量的“强大”，闭关锁国，不与外界沟通交流。而留学也正如其他诸多事物一样，是全球资源整合与共享的形式之一。故，把这一点单独拿出来讲是完全没有必要的。

再者说，我们每个人都清楚，我国还有很多地方是落后于很多发达国家的。既已落后，当然要学习以使自己进步。这样看来，留学就成了一种绝对必要的存在。学习他人先进之处以弥补自身缺陷，这又何错之有？

当然，在这个问题上，清华这一曾经的“留美预备学校”是绝对不能不提的。而历史早已告诉我们，出国留学，是为了更好地把知识带回来！即使每年出国人数最多，但清华“又红又专”的特点则从根本上说明：留学与爱国主义无丝毫矛盾！不然，“红色工程师的摇篮”这个称呼又从何而来？

综上所述，留学，与爱国主义毫无相悖之处。某种程度上，留学在外反而更能激发我们对祖国的热爱与强烈的归属感！
