(2)。you may observe, that amongst all the great and worthy persons(whereof the memory remaineth, either ancient or recent)there is not one, that hath been transported to the mad degree of love: which shows that great spirits, and great business, do keep out this weak passion.you must except, nevertheless, marcus antonius, the half partner of the empire of rome, and appius claudius, the decemvir and lawgiver;whereof the former was indeed a voluptuous man, and inordinate;but the latter was an austere and wise man: and therefore it seems(though rarely)that love can find entrance, not only into an open heart, but also into a heart well fortified, if watch be not well kept.
it is a poor saying of epicurus, satis magnum alter alteri theatrum sumus;as if man, made for the contemplation of heaven, and all noble objects, should do nothing but kneel before a little idol, and make himself a subject, though not of the mouth(as beasts are), yet of the eye;which was given him for higher purposes.
it is a strange thing, to note the excess of this passion, and how it braves the nature, and value of things, by this;that the speaking in a perpetual hyperbole, is comely in nothing but in love.neither is it merely in the phrase;for whereas it hath been well said, that the arch-flatterer, with whom all the petty flatterers have intelligence, is a man’s self;certainly the lover is more.for there was never proud man thought so absurdly well of himself, as the lover doth of the person loved;and therefore it was well said, that it is impossible to love, and to be wise.neither doth this weakness appear r to others only, and not to the party loved;but to the loved most of all, except the love be reciproque.for it is a true rule, that love is ever rewarded, either with the reciproque, or with an inward and secret contempt.
by how much the more, men ought to beware of this passion, which loseth not only other things, but itself!as for the other losses, the poet’s relation doth well figure them: that he that preferred helena, quitted the gifts of juno and pallas.for whosoever esteemeth too much of amorous affection, quitteth both riches and wisdom. (5)。this passion hath his floods, in very times of weakness;which are great prosperity, and great adversity;though this latter hath been less observed: both which times kindle love, and make it more fervent, and therefore show it to be the child of folly.they do best, who if they cannot but admit love, yet make it keep quarters;and
sever it wholly from their serious affairs, and actions, of life;for if it check once with business, it troubleth men’s fortunes, and maketh men, that they can no ways be true to their own ends. (5)。i know not how, but martial men are given to love: i think, it is but as they are given to wine;for perils commonly ask to be paid in pleasures. there is in man’s nature, a secret inclination and motion, towards love of others, which if it be not spent upon some one or a few, doth naturally spread itself towards many, and maketh men become humane and chari;as it is seen sometime in friars.
nuptial love maketh mankind;friendly love perfecteth it;but wanton love corrupteth, and embaseth it.

Love, good communication and the same values, which are the most important for a happy marriage. It is undeniable truth that different people will have different views upon it.The Beatles sang. All you need is love.” On the other hand, our friends might tell us.Good communication is all we really need.” Finally, our parents could advise us that the key is tantamount to marry someone with the same values.”
Certainly, different people have their unique considerations.Someone who holds the first view can be in view of that only marry for love is pure and clean of sin.And there are not any boundaries or barriers if two people are really gone on each other. However, many people could believe that good communication is the most important for a happy marriage.Otherwise, the couple may become strangers.Funnily, enough, there is a considerable number of people holding the third view. They also have their own thinking. For example, it is an insignificant marriage if the couple have not been the same values. As far as I am concerned, the constant values are essential for a happy marriage. On the one hand, the pair have the same language only they have the same values.Meanwhile, it is the foundation of them to communicate effectively. On the other hand, without the same values, the couple can’t maintain a happy marriage.
The Color of Love(学科教学(物理)李佳 141601)
The definition about love always gradually changes when you turn older. It looks like a picture that the color is changing. When you are young ,the color of love is green. It’s the feeling of light. You may be shy when you just say a simple word to the girl you love silently ,Then you’ll be happy for long time after you turn round. At that time probably you are only addicted to the sight of her back or her smile. When you grow up slightly, the color of love is deep red.You dare to love or hate because young is the capital.you are filled of energy. When you fall in love with a pretty girl you feel you’ll give up everything including your life;yet when you hate one you’ll be completely isolated from each all your life.As you grow older, the color of love is bronze-colored.Love become simple and you’ll pay close attention to its in-depth insight.Love is simple and fulfilling life. You prefer the one who’ll go through life together on matter you are health or ill ,on matter you are young or old.The love is only a lifetime commitment about growing old together.Wish that all lovers in the world could be united in wedlock.
Nowadays, love among college studentshas becomeincreasingly common. The campus romance has sparked a heated discussion on whether the students should devote their time and energy to love or to learning. The majority of college teachershold thatthe students should give up love and concentrate on learning, because campus love is
time-consuming andtears them away from their academic studies. If a student ever falls into love, he will undoubtedly neglecthisstudy andlagbehindhisclassmatesacademically. Therefore, the universityauthoritiesshouldrestorethetraditionalregulations against love during the students’school years. On the contrary, the majority of students believe thatit is naturalfor young peopleto fall into love on campus because they meet every dayand their everyday meetingproduces romantic passiontowards each other.Theyinsistthat campus loveis quite naturaland that most of them can properly cope with their love and learning.Personally, I am not quite in favor of the students being engaged in campus love.Anyhow, the students’main task at college is to learn knowledge and expertise. But I have no strong words against campus love. Here’s an advice to my fellow students.Don’tindulgeyourselftoo deeply in love, or you will get it in the way of your study.
