很早以前就已经读过简爱，那还是在为了读书而读书的年龄，说实话，当时并没有留下太多的印象，而且觉得情节不够曲折，语言不够华美，唯一给我留下深刻记忆的，是女主角简爱对待生活的、对待爱情的态度。

经过了那么长时间，今天偶尔有机会重新拿起书本，从头通读一遍，这次却给我带来的不仅仅是感动，而是一次深刻的灵魂的洗礼。无论什么时候，简爱都是世界独立女性的代表，她的坚强而高贵的灵魂值得每一个人去学习，去景仰。

《简爱》是十九世纪世界最伟大的作品之一，全书以简爱的成长经历为主线，她从小饱受磨难，很小的时候起她就失去了父母，童年唯一的记忆是屈辱和折难，从她懂事开始，就过着寄人篱下，仰人鼻息的生活，给她幼小的心灵带来常人难以想象的摧残和折磨，但她骨子里的韧性使她百折不挠，坚强不屈，不向任何恶势力低头，因此也使她遭受更残酷的打击和更凶狠的折磨，命运一次次经受暴风雨的洗礼，但是表面柔软的简爱，在风雨中勇敢的挺起头，用常人难以想象的坚强去面对生活中的种种不幸，她就象开在石缝中的野花，看似柔弱，却勇敢面对风雨的侵袭，从不逃避。

在她看似平凡而柔弱的外表下面，隐藏着一颗坚强勇敢而又充满智慧和仁慈的心，洋溢着充沛的生机和活力，她忍辱负重，矢志不渝地追求自由平等，尤其是身处在处处以利为先，唯利是图的资本主义社会，她的独立坚强，还有表现出来的凛然的正气和傲然的气节，尤其难能可贵，作为一个思想独立而坚强的女性，她可以作为全世界女性精神的楷模，或许这也是这本书能够如此畅销的主要原因吧，简爱的精神也确实深刻的感染了一代人，感动了一代人。她犹如一株出污泥而不染的清莲，品质高雅，白璧无瑕，作者通过对这一人物的精心刻画和成功的塑造，从而使作品具有丰富的思想内涵和深厚的艺术感染力。

据说这篇小说的诞生，在世界文坛上产生了巨大的反响，当时有一百多位著名学者作家联名推荐，带来极大的轰动效应，如春雷乍响，如星光闪耀，在文学的天空里卷起一阵春风，宣起了一股热流，让众多的读者爱不释手，如痴如醉，尤其是女性读者更是如获至宝，如遇知音，可见她精神的感召力有多大，她所宣扬的女性争取社会地位的平等和婚姻生活的平等以及对崇高纯洁爱情的追求，即便是现在也是具有很大的现实意义。

简爱每一次成长，都饱含艰辛，她的人生的每一步前进，都充满了辛酸的血泪，在资本主义社会，追求自由和快乐的她，就象一只笼中的小鸟，努力地想张开翅膀，却一次又一次地被碰得头破血流，在险象环生的人生路上，她举步维艰，她不仅要与险恶的环境作斗争而

且要忍受各种人为的灾难，从精神的歧视到肉体的折磨，从苦难的童年到坎坷的求学生涯，她可怜的自尊被残忍地层层剥离，值得欣慰的是，她的与生俱来的坚强，让她在黑暗中她看见了些许光明，正是因为这光明她才有了活下去的勇气。

海伦小姐的出现就像一道明媚的春光，给她凄凉的心一丝慰藉和温暖，她们象黑暗中的航灯，给她指明人生前进的方向，并不断的给她贫瘠的生命带来些许欢乐和温暖

简爱和罗切斯特的爱情故事无疑是本书的亮点，给作品画上了浓妆重彩的一笔，她们爱情虽不惊心动魄，荡气回肠，却也是坎坷不平，曲折离奇，引人入胜。她们从相遇相识到相爱相恋，错误的时间，错误的地点，错误的爱情故事，一切都显得那样的不合时宜。

爱情是最难把我的东西，没有任何预兆，也许是在不经意的偶然中，一个温暖的眼神，一句轻轻的问候吗，爱情闪现耀眼的火花。

但是简爱和罗切斯特的爱情好像又有一点不一样，从一开始见面的亲切，到后来慢慢的熟识，彼此慢慢的接近，慢慢侵入彼此的心灵，这样的爱情更加持久绵长，如陈年的美酒，越久越香，越来越让人沉醉。然而当她了解到罗切斯特家里的情况后，却毅然决然的放弃爱情，这正是她的精神力最难能可贵的地方，她的清纯善良不允许她破坏别人的家庭，毁坏别人的幸福获得自私的爱，虽然她也想拥有这份来之不易的爱情，但她不得不在矛盾中忍受心灵的煎熬。

可以说简爱对罗切斯特的爱情是纯洁的，高尚的和无私的，没有任何功利性，也是平等的，尽管他们的地位悬殊，作为罗切斯特的家庭教师，简爱从不认为他们之间有什么高低之分，从不认为自已低人一等，他们之间的交往基于理解和互助友爱，即使面对那些达官贵人，公子小姐，简爱也没有一点自卑的心理和媚态，相反内心鄙视那些人中的愚蠢无知和虚荣。如果简爱把爱情作为进身上流社会的阶梯，作为获取金钱地位和享乐的手段，那么在罗切斯特的努力的追求下，她会轻而易举的达到自已的目的，即使仅仅是为了爱情她也有理由选择自已的幸福，那么为什么她迟迟不答应罗切斯特的求爱呢？因为她不想玷污自已纯洁的爱，不想让自已的爱情蒙受功利的色彩，不劳而获不是她的个性，坐享其成更不是她爱的目的，她要凭着自已的努力获得幸福，同时也为了实现人生的价值和获得人格的尊严，用行动证明自已是生活的强者，不仅有独立的思想和独立的人格，而且还有理想和抱负，她不想成为任何人的附庸，实际上她一直就是生活的强者，她人生的每一步，都留下了她坚实的脚印，她不屈服于命运的摆布，她不向任何强权低头，她不会为了利益而出卖自已的灵魂和尊严，因

为这些闪光的东西才更具有吸引罗切斯特的魅力，从而也使她在与罗切斯特对等的条件下的爱情一丝不染，纯洁高尚。

如果不是一场突如其来的灾难，她们之间也许是一场没有结局的爱恋，当简爱获得了一笔遗产，由贫穷变为富有的时候，罗切斯特却因一场大火不仅耗损家产而且在救他妻子的时候留下残疾，瞎了眼睛。原先犹豫不决的简爱出人意料地牵起他的手要陪他一起走过人生的风风雨雨，这一刻是多么感天动地，震撼人心，罗切斯特也一定会感激涕零了。

故事到此结束，在高潮中落幕。这是作者的有意安排吧，用这种方式给她们的爱情打上并不完美却也令人欣慰的句号，也足够别出心裁，既满足了读者渴望有情人终成眷属的愿望，也让主题得到了升华，虽然有点不自然，有些勉强，但也看出作者所刻意菅造的崇高的精神境界和超凡的思想情趣，从而也体现她悲天悯人的情怀，总之这是一部影响深远的惊世之作。

When I finished reading this book, the first idea come in my mind is learn to make right choice when I meet troubles that I don’t know how to do.The question is just like a person has an apple in his right hand and a banana in his left hand, then he would ask you to choose one fruit to eat, I want apple but at the same time I want that banana, too.So what should I do?
