Y: I believe without languages, the world will immediately be in chaos, because it is so important that we cannot live without it.P: Yes.Actually, many linguists regard languages as the thing that makes human beings unique.Y: In comparison to other forms of communication, such as those used by animals, human language allows us to produce an infinite set of utterances.P: Human languages also employ grammatical and semantic categories, such as noun and verb, or present and past, to express complex meanings.All these make human languages differ from other communication systems.By the way, do you know how many languages are there in the whole world? Y: Er...Thousands of them?
P: Well, there are over 6,000 languages that are spoken by human beings around the world.However, English, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, French and Portuguese are the most popular languages worldwide.According to some research, they have grown to the point where they threaten to destroy the many tiny languages.Y: And now the world is becoming more and more diverse that there are more and more multilingual countries, especially in western countries, because languages in European countries share lots of similarities.For example, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese are essentially dialects of the same language.P: So if you learn Spanish, you open the door to the culture, music, history and possible business dealings with people in 60 countries, including the US and Canada.Y: That’s right.On one hand, people speaking Spanish are all over the world.On the other hand, due to similarities, it is easier for people who can speak Spanish to pick up other languages.P: Though there’re similarities, language is still an important way to signal identity of one cultural group to differ it from others.Y: And the way of using language is a part of a country’s or a community’s culture.By linguistic means, we can also detect the social culture.For example, one of my foreign teachers from the UK once told that from use of words or way of speaking, sometimes, he can even tell whether he or she is from University of Oxford or Cambridge.P: That’s really interesting and impressive!

Y: I always think that the existence of languages are quite amazing and cannot help wondering how they originated?
P: The issue is very hot among linguists and they have various opinions and theories on it.Y: In my opinion, language is so complex that it couldn’t simply appear from nothing.So I believe that they must have evolved from some earlier systems among our ancestors.P: You really make sense!In fact, your opinion can be involved in the Continuity Based Theories.Y: Oh!I don’t know that I have gone so far on the way of becoming a linguist!

各位老师、同学们：
大家好!
近期以来，校园安全事故频发，从国家教育部到省、市、县等各级教育主管部门，召开电视电话会议，下发文件通知，强调了中小学安全工作的重要性，要求各级学校要强化学校安全稳定工作，构建和谐的教育环境。为此，我校决定在全校广泛开展创建平安和谐校园活动。今天利用晨会时间给同学们上一堂安全教育课，希望同学们认真听、细心记。
据统计，我国每年大约有1.6万名中小学生非正常死亡，中小学生因安全事故、食物中毒、溺水、自杀等死亡的，平均每天有40多人，也就是说每天将有一个班的学生在“消失”。校园安全涉及到青少年生活和学习方面的隐患有20种之多，其中包括交通事故、食物中毒、打架斗殴、体育运动损伤、火灾火险、溺水、吸毒、性侵犯、自杀等等。这些都时刻在威胁着我们学生的健康成长。根据报送信息统计，XX年 教室、宿舍不能乱接电源，不能自行拆卸电教仪器、插座等。实验课需要使用酒精灯和一些易燃的化学药品，要在老师的指导下，严格按照操作要求去做，严防发生用火危险，杜绝火灾事故发生，一旦遭遇火灾，要学会正确的逃生方法，如俯下身体，用湿布捂鼻，拔打119火警电话，寻求帮助。
三、防溺水——目前已进入夏季，天气开始变热，有些同学会有去游泳消暑的想法。这是非常危险的，要求大家如果没有老师的同意或家长陪伴坚决不能下河、沟、池塘玩水，杜绝溺水事件的发
生。如果发生同伴溺水的危急事情，应大声呼喊成年人前来相助。或急中生智，用木棍、绳索或衣物让溺水者抓住。千万不能因为害怕而逃离现场或盲目下水营救。
四、防食物中毒——预防食物中毒，首先要讲究个人卫生，做到勤洗澡、勤洗衣服、勤剪指甲、勤理发、勤换床单和被子。保持教室、宿舍及环境的清洁卫生，养成饭前便后洗手，不暴饮暴食的良好习惯。其次做到“六不吃”，不吃生冷食物，不吃不洁瓜果，不吃腐烂变质食物，不吃未经高温处理的饭菜，不喝生水，不吃零食。不随意购买、食用街头小摊贩出售的劣质食品、饮料。要从食品标签上注意识别食品的质量，选择安全的食品。
五、防雷电——当雷电发生时，应尽量避免使用家电设备，如收音机、电视机、计算机等以防感应雷和雷电波的侵害;也不应在孤立的电杆、大树下躲避;不要使用手机，避免直击雷的袭击;万一遇到被雷电击中应尽量降低重心和减少人体与地面的接触面积，可蹲下，双脚并拢，手放膝上，身向前屈，如果披上雨衣，防雷效果更好，必要时对伤者应立即进行人工呼吸和外部心脏挤压按摩，并及时送往医院抢救。
六、防中暑——夏季已经来临，只要我们能够做到多喝水、开窗通风、保证充足的睡眠、合理饮食，不在高温下暴晒，避免大量运动，恰当使用风扇、空调，必要时准备一些缓解中暑症状的药物(如人丹、藿香正气水等)，就可以避免中暑。
七、防自身安全——自觉遵守公共秩序、社会公德和学校安全常规。课间或户外活动时要注意文明休息，不追逐嬉戏，不打闹，不攀高，不拥挤，不抢道;不在教学楼内打球、跳绳、踢毽子。严禁攀爬学校的围墙、门窗、围栏网、树木、球架等，更不能上楼顶天台。
八、防暴力——一是要求学生在学校要严格遵守作息时间，不早到、不晚回，不给不法分子作案提供时间。门卫要加强管理，严防来路不明的人员混入学校借机生事，突然袭击，制造恐怖事件。二是要求同学们要和睦相处，善于化解矛盾，不因小事和同学争吵，遇事要冷静，做事多想想后果，不要以非对非，打架斗殴。如果遭遇暴力一定要想办法及时脱身，报告老师或拨打110电话报案，三要远离网吧，拒绝毒品，远离台球室，远离游戏厅，不看不健康的书籍，不同社会闲杂人员交往。学会拒绝别人的无理要求或不良诱惑，养成良好的生活习惯，九、防踩踏——上下楼梯要有序，不奔跑，不推搡，要严格落实分楼层下课制度，防止校园拥挤踩踏事故的发生。在雨天，楼梯会很滑，请同学们在行走时务必轻脚慢步，注意安全。
十、防盗窃——无论是家里还是学校，都要关锁好门窗，注意自身财物和公共财物的安全;尤其是住校生夜间睡觉时一定要关锁好门窗，不给小偷以可乘之机。

乙：故事二：一位母亲骑自行车带着年幼的女儿。孩子一不小心，手中的饼干掉在地上。母亲马上停下来，轻声对女儿说：来，咱们把它扔到垃圾桶里去。说着便把孩子抱下来，俩人弯腰一起去捡地上的碎饼干。就是这普普通通的一幕，不由让人想起一句话：素质，是一种习惯。仔细想想，不是吗？

甲：3、要举止优雅。我曾经见过这样的一个场面，在一次晚会上，一位十七八岁的中学生用她动人、嘹亮的嗓子，唱完了一首讲礼仪、讲礼貌的歌曲之后，观众们正要鼓掌以示赞美时，她的手指伸进了她的鼻孔，径直走下了舞台。此时，她的歌声再美妙也只能成为对她的讽刺。一个连最起码的举止行为都不懂的学生，就算歌声再好听，再动人，给人的感觉仍旧是不舒服的。因为它缺少必要的和谐与美感。
乙：4、要爱护公物。不用你去建设，只愿你去爱惜。在这美丽的校园里，同学们，你怎么忍心让洁白墙壁留下一串串的脚印，还发出幸灾乐祸的笑声呢？你怎么可以漠视某位同学践踏花草，而不去制止呢？当你随意损坏学校的桌凳及公共设施时，难道没觉察到老师眼中那一丝担心，那一屡疲惫？同学们，美丽的校园不仅需要别人的付出，更需要我们的文明举止呀！

我曾经亲眼目睹过这样一件事：一个人在一个小区放鞭炮，却不知道自己为什么开心。因为放鞭炮离房子太近，不小心打碎了四楼一个住户的玻璃。正当居士把头探出窗外想看看为什么的时候，又一门大炮飞了过来，把居士吓了个半死。看，是那个不注意安全的人给别人的财产和生命带来了危险。
现在，小学生的安全教育应该得到更多的重视。在我们学校，高年级的人越注意安全。虽然学校进行“安全教育”但是有些学生一句话也不听，做了很多危险的事情。上学违反交通法规，骑车逃课；自然课玩火；爬栏杆抄近路闪开，有人在高速推大车时突然把手放下，让一辆无人自行车跑过车道。这是我朋友君告诉我的，我也亲眼见过一次。他说有一次自行车晃到路中间，差点被卡车压死。想想，要不要重视安全教育？

周：是啊！下面让我们来一起走入他与他那伟大的母亲的情感世界中，与他们一起来分享这段慈母的爱吧！
姜：沿着校门口至教室的区区20米左右的`小路上，却包含了多浓的亲情，踩下了多深的足迹……
就在9月25日上午，那个阳光依然明媚的上午，我们终于见到了那位母亲与她那坚强的儿子。他们一个在前，一个在后，母亲缓缓推着轮椅，脸上满满幸福；儿子时不时望望身后的母亲，脸上却也是自信满满。我讶异，想象中的亲情，竟浓到耀眼，令人羡慕。
相信很多同学也都了解这对母子。他，八年级一班的xx同学，因意外摔坏双腿，至今靠轮椅行走；她，一位
儿子的母亲，每天踩着坚实的步伐，推着儿子上学放学。而此事，也曾被推荐参评学校的“感动校园十佳”。是什么让这位残疾儿子的脸上依然拥有阳光，并感动着大家？我想，是浓浓的爱心使他生活在同一片蓝天下。
每天清晨，母亲和坐在轮椅上的儿子都会及时出现在学校的门口；每天傍晚，这位母亲又会同样按时来到学校接儿子回家，风雨无阻，无怨无悔。场面甚是感人，心中无限温馨。而我们这些旁观者，唯有感恩，唯有涕泪……
感动的温存一直在心间环绕，我们不得不为这位儿子而感动，只为他身残志坚的乐观心态，他灿烂的微笑时刻挂在嘴角，他的微笑就如一缕春风，涌入心间。感动，只为儿子的笑容，只为儿子的坚强；更为那位母亲而感动，只为她慈爱的目光。多少年来，日复一日，年复一年，毫不厌烦地推着沉重的轮椅，可脚步却显得那么轻盈，安静的面容让人感到安逸。感动，只为母亲的坚持，只为母亲如水般的爱。我想把这种爱比做水，因为平平淡淡才是真。很喜欢这种感觉，很温暖，他们之间的感情，是要用心去体会的。
繁星夺目，月下生辉，母爱是河，源源长流。它赋予了一个残疾孩子，无比的坚毅和勇敢，我们不得不对那位母亲肃然起敬，在此，我想对那位母亲说：谢谢您！您对您儿子的爱，让我们深刻意识到了母爱的珍贵！

男：真是太让人气愤了！二（13）班小记者王英豪、二（7）班小记者李雨晴来稿说：这段血腥的历史是现代文明史上最黑暗的一页，给所有的中国人带来了巨大的伤痛。每一个中国人都要牢记这血的教训。

女：二（13）班的何孟宸小记者来稿说：我们身边有很多小电视迷。有些同学整天就想着看电视而没有心思学习，有些同学沉迷于电视中，缺少与外界的交流，得了“电视孤独症”、“电视肥胖症”、“ 电视综合症”。
男：电视的危害还不尽于此。五（4）班的小记者唐成捷、二（6）班小记者张焱超还说：长期保持一种姿势看电视，会使脊椎歪斜。看电视时间过长，会导致视力下降、性格内向。
女：如何正确地看电视，让电视更好地为我们服务呢？四（12）的小记者陆昶宇、二（5）班小记者周子惠有妙招：1、连续看电视的时间不能超过40分钟，看一看远处绿色的树木，让眼睛休息一下。2、不能离电视太近，距离电视的距离要超过3米。 3、电视声音不能太大。4、不能躺着看电视，坐姿要正确。5、看电视光线不能太暗。

b:我是主持人****首先进入今天的校园快讯栏目。近日，我校“小橘灯”志愿者开展了“光盘行动”节约粮食的公益活动，倡导同学们节约盘中餐。全校上下对这一活动都相当重视，在周一的集体晨会上，向全体师生发出倡议，并利用周五的红领巾广播站大力宣传这一活动。
a: 每天中午放学铃声一响，学生们依次排队打饭菜，并根据当天自己的食量来最终确定饭菜的多少。20多分钟后，学生们陆续把自己托盘里的饭菜全部吃完，一些学生吃完以后还再次增添饭菜，吃饱不浪费，吃多吃少都由自己决定。同学们聚在一起吃午餐，大家可以相互监督是否做到了“光盘”，是否挑食，大家都不好意思浪费。

b：我们要及时采取相应的防治措施。才能有效的控制疾病。首先，搞好家庭环境卫生，保持室内和周围环境清洁，经常开门窗通风或喷洒空气清洁剂，常晒被褥，可以杀死环境中的病原菌。家里要常通风透气，保持空气清洁、湿润，不要再让污浊、干冷的空气刺激我们的呼吸道。
a：保持良好的卫生习惯。打喷嚏、咳嗽时使用手帕，不直接面对他人，可以减少传播、感染的机会。特别强调注意手的卫生，出入公共场所后回到家中，最好要洗手、换衣物再去接触食物。
b·多饮水，有利于排尿和发汗，使体内的毒素和热量尽快排出，预防发热。
a·随着气温变化及时增减衣服。尤其气候多变，早晚温差也很大，一定要根据天气变化，适时增减衣服，切不可一下子减得太多。也不可穿得太多，这样会压迫身体，使其活动受限，影响消化，衣着以脊背无汗为适度。
b·勤洗勤换衣裤，尤其注意保持鼻周皮肤的清洁。呼吸道感染后，常常流鼻涕，时间长了，鼻子周围，尤其是鼻子下面的皮肤会发红会感到很疼。可以用温湿的毛巾敷一敷，然后涂一些消炎药，比如金霉素眼药膏。
a·远离患有呼吸道疾病的人群，避免受到感染是最直接的方式。外出时，不到人群密集、通风不良的影剧院、百货公司、超市等人群集中的地方去。
b·制定锻炼计划
锻炼对提高抵抗力增强体质很有帮助，增强体质是防病的第一重要要素。可充分利用日光浴、空气浴，以提高自己对周围环境冷热变化的适应力。但注意雾天不要外出，因为浓雾中含有大量有害物质。
a·要注意养成良好、有规律的作息习惯，良好的睡眠才能保证健康的体质，不断提升抵御疾病入侵的能力。选择容易消化的流质饮食如菜汤、稀粥、蛋汤、蛋羹、牛奶等。宜清淡少油腻。多喝酸性果汁如山楂汁、猕猴桃汁、红枣汁、鲜橙汁、西瓜汁等以促进胃液分泌，增进食欲。多食含维生素c、e及红色的食物，如西红柿、苹果、葡萄、枣、草莓、甜菜、橘子、西瓜及牛奶、鸡蛋等，预防感冒的发生。维生素c能增强免疫力，帮助维持皮肤黏膜的完整性，最好是在医生指导下使用。
b：听了你的建议，我真是受益匪浅，看来，我真得好好补补健康常识这一课了。下次学校组织我们订阅报刊时，我得把相关的医学杂志列入到我的订书目录中，健康无小事，直接关系到自己的身体素质啊！

甲：据说，有一些同学用影视片名来表达厌学的无奈心境。在这些同学的描述下，学习显得非常可怕，苦不堪言，难道真的是这样吗？大家都知道：学习是辛苦的，但却不至于“苦不堪言”。“学习”两个字，我们耳濡目染十几个春秋，可是我们明白这两个字的真正含义吗？这些同学之所以会有那些想法，是因为他们学习心理负担过重，将学习视为迫不得已、很难受的事情，体会不到成功的愉悦。我们应该懂得学习对我们来说是一种需要，是我们实现理想的途径，勤学更是我们成材唯一的有效途径。任何学习意识的形成，首先应培养良好的动机，正象机器要有发动机一样，每种学习的行动的后面都有一种动力，就象发动机一样，他的功率越大，机器的动力就越大，而学习的动力越强，学习的自觉性和积极性就越高。没有这个马达，学习也就无从谈起。学习意识的形成，还需激发强烈的学习兴趣和提高“会学”的能力。
乙：“会学”能力的形成并非易事，我们知道：学习是一项艰苦的脑力劳动，任何学习成果的获得都不是朝夕可成，一蹴而就。然而有人终日做着“成材梦”，却不肯付诸行动去学习；羡慕那些盛开的魅力娇艳的花朵，却不用辛勤的汗水去浇灌它，空把着“天生我材必有用”的想法，结果只是黄粱美梦一场空。也有的人总认为自己没有成材的天赋，便放弃追求，不再奋斗，整天自怨自艾。殊不知“人之为学有难易乎？学之，则难者亦易矣；不学，则易者亦难矣。”俗话说“功到自然成”，“不经一番风霜苦，哪得梅花放清香？”如果坚定自己成材的目标，勤学好问、不懈努力，成功的大门会向每位勤学者敞开。
