Enjoy Your Day with Gratitude
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet.He held up a sign which said: “I am blind, please help.” There were only a few coins in the hat.
A man was walking by.He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat.He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up.A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked,“ Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?”
The man said, “I only wrote the truth.I said what you said, but in a different way.I wrote: 'Today is a beautiful day, but I cannot see it.'”
Both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people that they were so lucky that they were not blind.Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?
Moral of the Story:
Be thankful for what you have.Be creative.Be innovative.Think differently and positively.

Face your past without regret.Handle your present with confidence.Prepare for the future without fear.Keep the faith and drop the fear.

If your life feels like it is lacking the power that you want and the motivation that you need, sometimes all you have to do is shift your point of view.
By training your thoughts to concentrate on the bright side of things, you are more likely to have the incentive to follow through on your goals. You are less likely to be held back by negative ideas that might limit your performance.
Your life can be enhanced, and your happiness enriched, when you choose to change your perspective.Don't leave your future to chance, or wait for things to get better mysteriously on their own.You must go in the direction of your hopes and aspirations.Begin to build your confidence, and work through problems rather than avoid them.Remember that power is not necessarily control over situations, but the ability to deal with whatever comes your way.
Always believe that good things are possible, and remember that mistakes can be lessons that lead to discoveries.Take your fear and transform it into trust;learn to rise above anxiety and doubt.Turn your “worry hours” into “productive hours”.Take the energy that you have wasted and direct it toward every worthwhile effort that you can be involved in.You will see beautiful things happen when you allow yourself to experience the joys of life. You will find happiness when you addopt positive thinking into your daily routine and make it an important part of your world.

The Boy Bathing
A boy bathing in a river was in danger of being drowned. He called out to a passing traveler for help, but instead of holding out a helping hand, the man stood by unconcernedly, and scolded the boy for his imprudence.“Oh, sir!” cried the youth, “pray help me now and scold me afterwards.”
Counsel without help is useless.
The Lion and the Mouse
A lion was awakened from sleep by a Mouse running over his face.Rising up angrily,he caught him and was about to kill him, when the Mouse piteously entreated, saying: “If you would only spare my life,I would be sure to repay your kindness.” The Lion laughed and let him go.It happened shortly after this that the Lion was caught by some hunters, who bound him by strong ropes to the ground. The Mouse, recognizing his roar, came and gnawed the rope with his teeth and set him free, exclaiming:
“You ridiculed the idea of my ever being able to help you, expecting to receive from me any repayment of your favor;now you know that it is possible for even a Mouse to con benefits on a Lion.”
The Father and His Sons
A father had a family of sons who were perpetually quarreling among themselves. When he failed to heal their disputes by his exhortations,he determined to give them a practical illustration of the evils of disunion;and for this purpose he one day told them to bring him a bundle of sticks. When they had done so,he placed the faggot into the hands of each of them in succession, and ordered them to break it in pieces. They tried with all their strength, and were not able to do it.He next opened the faggot, took the sticks separately, one by one,and again put them into his sons' hands, upon which they broke them easily. He then addressed them in these words:“My sons,if you are of one mind, and unite to assist each other, you will be as this faggot, uninjured by all the attempts of your enemies;but if you are divided among yourselves, you will be broken as easily as these sticks.”

Belling the cat
Long ago, there was a big cat in the house. He caught many mice while they were stealing food.
One day the mice had a meeting to talk about the way to deal with their common enemy. Some said this, and some said that.At last a young mouse got up,and said that he had a good idea.
“We could tie a bell around the neck of the cat. Then when he comes near,we can hear the sound of the bell, and run away.”
Everyone approved of this proposal, but an old wise mouse got up and said,“That is all very well, but who will tie the bell to the cat?” The mice looked at each other, but nobody spoke.
