大家下午好！
环境是我们人类的好朋友，跟我们的生活息息相关。但是我们因为一时的私利，大量砍伐树木，造成水土流失和大量动物惨遭灭绝。环境对人类来说既是天堂，又是地狱，人们睁大那贪梦的双眼，恨不得将所有的财富占为己有。人类破坏环境，就是在破坏自己，自己的生存环境，人类应该用眼睛证实一下，这奇特现象存在的事实，进而能不能改善我们的生态环境。环境向我们呼吁，必须尽快采取一切措施，拯救日趋频危的野生动物，拯救我们的生存环境。生物学家发出了震撼全球的警告：“全世界将有5000种动物在不长的时期灭绝”。但同时几乎发出同一声音：“本世纪上半期，每隔5年就有一种哺乳动物灭绝，本世纪下半期，已加速到每隔两年就在灭绝一种。”
警告就在空中回荡，悲剧仍在脚下发展。进入高文明社会的人类，正在野蛮愚昧的破坏生态环境。地球上屈指可数的野生动物资源大国，在想方设法保护他们的同时，也无可奈何地看着他们惨遭扑杀，践踏，掠夺……人类在破坏环境时，也在破坏国家的'保护动物，大熊猫。素有“国宝”之称等等命运同样不佳，如果再破坏生态环境，这些世代赖以繁衍的家园也遭到疯狂的扫荡，株连九族的下场并不鲜见，是我们人类残酷无情的破坏他们。

大家早上好！
在今天的演讲之前，我想先和同学们回顾两则广告的宣传语：第一则：小草说：“不要从我身上踏过，请脚下留情！”第二则：“请节约用水吧，否则最后的一滴水将会是您的眼泪。”听了这两则广告，不难猜出，今天我要演讲的主题就是“环境保护”。
首先，对于环境保护你了解了多少？你知道世界关于环境保护制定了哪些国际日吗？我想，我们熟知的`应该有3月12日的植树节，3月22日的世界水日，5月31日的世界无烟日，还有最重要就是即将来临的6月5日的“世界环境日”。今年是第35个世界环境日，主题是“沙漠和荒漠化”。这一主题对于我国的国情而言是十分贴切的。我国以大约7%的耕地养活着大约世界21%的人口，土地荒漠化又是世界上最严重的国家之一，这对于我们每一个中国人而言，都是十分揪心的事。北京的沙尘暴又是尤其的严重，随着申办奥运时间的迫近，沙尘暴治理这一项巨大的工程让我们十分的牵挂。虽然，沙漠和荒漠化这一现象距离我们高中生的实际生活比较遥远，但是我们也应该尽心尽力地为我们的国家，为我们的古城嘉兴，为我们的一中校园，尽一份心力。所以，我认为，我们可以从以下的几个方面做起。
第一：树立环保意识，广泛地了解环保知识。我们的政治课、历史课就都曾对环境问题做过介绍。自然科学书也曾写到恐龙灭绝的原因是环境问题。中国历的古国楼兰神秘消失，与当时风沙肆虐、水资源短缺有关。中央电视台的“科技博览”、“人与自然”等栏目就对环境做了细致的介绍。观后，我也不乏了解到了一些知识，如今我国
的沙漠面积正以每年2460万平方千米的速度发展，面积超过国土的40%。
第二：积极参加环保活动。环境保护，要从小事做起。在这里，我想提出几个新的建议：一是少用罐装食品和饮料；二是旧衣物捐给贫困者；三是少吃口香糖。
最后，我要说的是人人行动起来吧，让我们为环保事业尽一份心力。

环境保护对我们来说并不是一个新问题，我国政府也早就提出了明确的治理目标。作为现实生活中的每一个普通人，虽然不可能都直接从事环保工作，但我们完全可以从小事做起，从我做起。当看到洗手间的水龙头在滴水时，是不是能够举手关上呢？当电池用完后能否分类收藏处理而不是随手扔掉呢？当购物时能否自觉不使用超薄塑料袋呢？一件件小事虽然都很不起眼，但却体现我们究竟具备了多少环保意识。
