What 和 How感叹句如何区别

1、“what”意为“多么”用作定语,修饰名词(被强调部分),名词前可有其它定语成份(即:形容词或冠词)。单数可数名词前要加不定冠词a/an,复数可数名词或不可数名词前不用冠词。

2、一般有三种形式,此时what为形容词,作定语,用来修饰它后面的名词或词组。

(1)what+a/an+形容词+可数名词单数+主语+谓语!

What an interesting story it is!多么有趣的故事呀!

What a good girl she is!

她是个多么好的一个女孩啊!

(2)what+形容词+不可数名词+主语+谓语!

What heavy snow it is!

多么大的雪呀!

What bad weather is it?

多么糟糕的天气啊!

(3)what+形容词+可数名词复数+主语+谓语。

What beautiful flowers they are!

多么漂亮的花啊!

What good students they are!

他们是多么好的学生啊!

3、“how”意为“多么”,用作状语,修饰形容词或副词(被强调部分)。如果修饰形容词,则句中的谓语动词用系动词;如果how修饰副词,则句中的谓语动词用行为动词。

4、有三种结构形式。此时how是副词,用来修饰其后的形容词或副词,也可以修饰动词。(1)How+形容词+主语+谓语!例如:

How cold it is today!今天多么冷呀!

How hot it is today!今天多么热呀!

(2)How+副词+主语+谓语!例如:

How happy they look!他们显得多么高兴呀!

How fast he runs!他跑得多么快呀!

(3)How+主语+谓语(陈述句)!例如:

How he loves his son!他是多么的爱他的儿子!

How time flies!光阴似箭!

5、例子

① What a hot day(it is)!

How hot the day is!

多么热的天气呀!② What tall buildings they are!

How tall the buildings are!

多么高的楼房呀!③ What bad weather it is!

How bad the weather is!

多么糟糕的天气呀!④ What bright sunshine it is!

How bright the sunshine is!

多么明亮的阳光呀!① What a fine day(it is)!多么晴朗的天呀!② What an honest boy!多么诚实的孩子呀!

③ What red apples(they are)!多么红的苹果呀!④ How cool!好凉快呀!

⑤ How wonderful!精彩极了!口语中常用: What a pity!真遗憾!

What a shame!真遗憾!真可耻!

6、陈述句改为感叹句的句型转换题之有效的方法 一断,二加,三换位,四去very”。现以She is a very clever girl.为例。

二加:先在句首加上what或how,what是形容词,作定语,修饰名词。How为副词,作状语,用于修饰形容词、副词或动词。除修饰动词外,how修饰的词常放在其后面,判断用what还是how,就看陈述句中最后一词,是名词用what,是形容词或副词用how。上述例句是girl,所以用what。二加还要在句末加上感叹句,即:“what„„!”

三换位:将“一断”之后的第一部分和第二部分对换位置,即: What a very clever girl she is!

四去very:感叹句本身表达一种强烈的感情,如“多么、十分”等。故陈述句变为感叹句时,very一词应去掉,以免重复。故上述例句的转换是: What a clever girl she is!

What与how有时也可以互换;what+a/an+形容词+可数名词单数+ 主语+谓语!=How+形容词+a/an+可数名词单数+主语+谓语!

What a clever girl she is!= How clever a girl she is!典型例题

1)___ food you've cooked!

答案D.由于How 修饰形容词,副词;what修饰名词。且food为不可数名词,因此A,B 排除。C How + adj.后面不能再加名词,因此只有D正确,其句型为What + adj.+n.(不可数)2)___terrible weather we've been having these days!

A.What B.What a C.How D.How a

答案A.weather为不可数名词,B,D排除。C为how + adj.后面不应有名词。只有A,符合句型What +形容词+不可数名词。

答案A.感叹句分两类:

1:What + n.+主谓部分

2:How + adj./ adv./ v.+主谓部分。本题属第一种,但省略了bad,相对于 What a bad time I had!这是个习惯用语。

一、由“what”引导的感叹句:“what”意为“多么”用作定语,修饰名词(被强调部分),单数可数名词前要加不定冠词a/an,复数可数名词或不可数名词前不用冠词。

这类句子的结构形式是:

what+(a/an)+adj.+n.+主语+谓语.如:

What a clever girl she is!多么聪明的姑娘呀!

注意:①在一定的语境中,若语义明确,名词前可以不用形容词:

Oh, what a wind!啊,风真大!

What a fool he is!他真是个笨蛋!

② 该结构中的形容词不能是表数量的many, much, little, few,遇此情

况要用how,即使它们后面跟有名词:

How many books he has!

How much money he gave her!How little money I have!

How few friends he has!

比较:What a little box it is!多小巧的盒子呀!(该little不表示数量)

二、由“how”引导的感叹句:“how”意为“多么”,用作状语,修饰形容词或副词(被强调部分)。如果修饰形容词,则句中的谓语动词用系动词;如果how修饰副词,则句中的谓语动词用行为动词。

这类句子的结构形式是:

How+adj.(adv.)+主语+谓语!

How+adj.+a+名词+主语+谓语!

如:① How cold it is today!

②How well she dances!

③How clever a boy he is!

注意:在一定的语境中,若语义明确,how后可以不出现形容词或副词

How we laughed!我们笑得多欢!How I missed you!我多么想你呀!

三、在表示同一意义时,英语感叹既可用“what”引导,也可用“how”引导。如:

① What a hot day it is!

How hot the day is!②What an interesting story it is!==How interesting the story is!

③what a beautiful bulding it is!==How beautiful the building is!

四、感叹句在表示激动强烈的感情时,口语中常常采用省略句,其后面的主语和谓语往往略去不讲。

如:① What a fine day!多么晴朗的天呀!

②What a nice present!(省略it is)

③How disappointed!(省略she is)
