my dear friends:
do you know what is the most precious and everlasting thing in the world?
money? you may lose everything you have if you do not use money carefully enough.youth? in one?'s long life youth is like a flash in the pan and no one in the world has the secret to keep his youth forever.beautiful look? many people pray that they can get hold of beauty, but it disappears far more quickly than they can imagine.and when they are in real trouble beauty itself feels helpless.a good job? as you grow older and your brain and hands cannot work as fast as before, it will become other people?'s wealth.then what is the most precious and ev-erlasting thing in the world?
when you are far away from your fam-ily and feel especially lonely, who will you think of? when you stand on the crossroad in your life and do not know which way to choose, who will you think of? when you encounter greater difficulties than ever and need other?'s encouragement, who will you think of? when you decide to make the greatest decision in your favorite course, who will you think of? who gave birth to you? who brought you up? who shed cheer-ful tears when seeing you make achieve-ments? whose wholehearted blessing will be always with you no matter how far you will go?
yes, it's mother that you will always think of and it's mother's love that will be always together with you.i once heard a moving story about a mother.two children were drawn into the flood and the situation was very dangerous.their mother jumped into the water without the least hesitation.but you know the moth-er could not swim at all.jumping into the water means she might lose her life.but at that time she had no time to think about herself.she just wanted to try all means to save her children.maybe her courage moved the god.the miracle happened.she finally succeeded in saving her children one by one.and she, of course, felt extremely ex-hausted.my friends, mother's love is the greatest love.mother's love is the safest love.no matter you are happy or sorrowful, rich or poor, mother's love will always stay with you.thank you all!

Mr.President, Prince Philip and I are delighted to welcome you and Madame Peng to Buckingham Palace this evening.
Your visit to the United Kingdom marks a milestone in this unprecedented year of co-operation and friendship between the United Kingdom and China, as we celebrate the ties between our two countries and prepare to take them to ambitious new heights.
The United Kingdom and China have a warm and longstanding friendship.Prince Philip and I recall with great fondness our visit to China almost thirty years ago, where we were privileged to experience your country’s rich history and culture, including the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and the Terracotta Warriors: all unforgettable memories of China’s ancient civilisation.
Yet it was China’s desire to shape a new future which captivated us the most.We were struck by the energy and enthusiasm with which China’s leaders were forging ahead with a new and ambitious future for the Chinese people;and I well recall our discussions with the late paramount leader Mr.Deng Xiaoping, who was foremost among these leaders in setting a clear direction for China with his policy of reform. It was also Mr.Deng’s visionary concept of One Country Two Systems which opened the way for the return of Hong Kong to Chinese sovereignty under the Sino-British Joint Declaration.
Almost thirty years later, Mr Deng’s vision has borne remarkable fruit.Rapid economic growth and development has transformed the lives of people across China and lifted hundreds of millions out of poverty: a huge and historic achievement with far reaching positive effects on people’s lives.
I was delighted that my grandson Prince William was able to witness these changes during his first visit to China earlier this year.Like myself and Prince Philip, he visited not only your great cities of Beijing and Shanghai but also the beautiful province of Yunnan, and saw at first-hand the strong connections which bind our two countries together, be they in culture, education or business.
Mr.President, the relationship between the United Kingdom and China is now truly a global partnership. We have much reason to celebrate the dynamic, growing economic relationship between our countries as well as our success in working together to address pressing international challenges.
We have, this year, marked the seventieth anniversary of the foundation of the United Nations.Today the world faces challenges which call for collaboration between the nations: conflict and terrorism;poverty and ill-health;conservation and climate change. As permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, Britain and China are stewards of the rules-based international system, and we have a responsibility to cooperate on these issues which have a direct bearing on the security and prosperity of all our peoples.
This global partnership is supported by an expanding network of links between the people of our two countries, which are essential in building mutual understanding and friendship, while we welcome the increasing numbers of Chinese tourists, students and business visitors to the United Kingdom.
Mr.President, your visit is a defining moment in this very special year for our bilateral relationship.I am confident that it will serve to highlight the sincerity and warmth of our friendship and to strengthen relations between our countries for many years to come.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I ask you to rise and drink a toast to the President and Madame Peng and to the people of China.

(The legend of the aurora borealis)
• Aurora comes from the Latin Word——Ios.•Legend has it that Ios is the embodiment of the 'dawn' in Greek mythology, the daughter of the Greek god Titan, the sister of Phoebus and moon goddess.• The aurora borealis has been a mystery since the first time humans looked up at the sky and saw the aurora borealis. For a long time, people have developed their own auroral legend. The eskimos believe that the aurora is the torch of spirits that lead the dead to heaven. The aborigines saw the aurora as a deities, convinced that the rapid movement of the auroras would send out the spirits of the gods in the air, and would take away the soul, leaving bad luck.In Finnish, for example, the aurora borealisis called “revontulet”, and the literal translation is the fire of the fox.Ancient finns believed that because a fox was running on a snow-covered hillside, the tail swept the glittering snowflakes all the way up to the sky, creating the aurora borealis.I prefer to believe the aurora borealis is a symbol of happiness. The aurora borealis is a gorgeous glowing phenomenon over a high magnetic latitude region in the Arctic of the planet, generated by high-energy charged particle flows(solar wind)from the Earth's magnetosphere or the sun that excite(or ionization)the upper atmosphere molecule or atom.Alaska and Northern Canada, near the North Pole, are the best places to watch the aurora borealis.极光的形态(the auroral shapes and colors)
Aurora is a natural astronomical wonders, it has no fixed form, color is not the same, color to green, white, yellow, blue, and occasionally will appear gorgeous red and purple, graceful and mysterious and unpredictable. In general, the auroral form can be divided into arc-like Aurora, ribbon Aurora, episodic Aurora, radial Aurora and other four kinds. The Northern Lights, which appear in the north, are called the Aurora Borealis in the south.
Auroras occur only in the frigid winter and autumn evenings, where the high latitudes have the opportunity to witness, because the aurora borealis is most likely to appear in the dark, cold night, so the best time is from November to the following February to 2 o'clock in the morning, and sometimes lasts about 1 hours.
Most commonly found in the annular zone near the North magnetic latitude 67°.The northern hemisphere is dominated by Alaska, northern Canada, Siberia, the southern tip of Greenland Iceland and the northern coast of Norway. It is worth mentioning: Alaska and northern Canada are the best places to watch the aurora borealis, and Alaska's Ferban(Fairbanks)wins the name of the northern Aurora Capital, known for its cold winters and long summer light, and over 200 days of auroral phenomenon in the year, People go there to admire its spectacular spectacle and to witness the spectacle of the aurora that will appear every night. If there is a chance to Alaska, be sure to look at that fascinating Arctic light, capture the ever-changing super 'electro-optic show', will completely love the Northern Lights!Northern China's most northerly Mohe can also observe the aurora borealis.
