投诉信也称抱怨信，曾于2012年的考研备考英语(二)中考过。一般来说用于写信人对某项服务或某个产品表达不满，经常发生在自己作为消费者利益受损或者自己的正常工作、学习、生活受到干扰的情形下，写信时要语气冷静、有礼，陈述事实客观、准确，信中需明确提出解决方式并表达期待尽快解决的心情。
一般来说，在考研备考英语中，投诉信的主体部分可按照三个步骤进行，即“三步走”策略：
首段：自我介绍，表明相关;提出投诉，陈述事由。
中段：具体解决方案。
尾段：希望重视，得到回复。
以2012年英语(二)中的小作文为例：
