所有的猫都有三个名字，第一个名 字是普通名字，是给家人在平日里 叫的；第二个名字是有尊严的名字，是要让每一只猫觉得骄傲的独特 名字，而且每只猫的名字都不相同。而第三个名字，是秘密的名字，猫儿是永远不会告诉他类动物的。如果你看到一只猫在下午的太阳里 暝想，那么有可能，他就是在思索 他的神秘名字。

几只小猫可怜格瑞泽的悲惨样子，想 凑过去安慰她，却被年纪大的猫们拉 开了。
蒂米特走上前，仿佛要抚摸 格瑞泽，可是在最后一刹那 失去了勇气，悲伤地逃开了。格瑞泽哀怨地歌声责备挡 在她面前的蒙克斯。
蒂米特和邦姆博在一旁唱出了她的身份：原来她就是当年骄傲美丽的格 瑞泽贝拉，华美的猫。她在年轻的时候就离开了猫群去看外面的世界，成为猫儿们不可饶恕的叛徒。现在她历尽艰辛，狼狈地回来时，猫儿们 仍然不肯原谅她。格瑞泽只好又哀伤地下场了。

剧情：
突然一声怪响，随之传来警号和红闪光灯。恶猫麦克的脸出现在舞台一 角，所有的猫在蒙克斯的保护下逃离的舞台，蒙克斯在四下里搜索一遍 之后也下场了。
两声咯咯的笑声，把蒙哥和丽普这两只小偷儿带到来场上。
蒙哥和丽普身上背着小包袱，大约是刚刚作案归来。在歌里他们告诉观 众，他们喜欢和人类开玩笑，不是乱拉抽屉，就是偷走主人宴客时客人 的珠宝。可是人们也拿他们没办法，他们甚至分不清究竟是哪一只猫做 的坏事，因为蒙哥和丽普长得一模一样。
蒙哥和丽普他们的动作灵敏，神态顽皮，大约还是刚刚成年的小猫。蒙 哥是个滑稽的男孩子，丽普则是个机灵的女孩。他们的歌舞节奏都很快，很讨人喜爱。在他们的歌结束的时候，其他的猫一起冲上舞台，把他 们围住不让他们逃走。从此蒙歌和丽普就一直留在台上。猫群显然并不 因为他们是小偷就排挤他们。
还有一点就是，他们的歌常常是由不同的人演唱。据说只有录象带版的 《猫》里，蒙哥和丽普的歌才是有蒙哥和丽普本人演唱，其他的时候，不是蒙克斯或迷斯特代唱，就是由蒙哥一个人唱两个人的歌。这也许和 他们要求高的舞蹈有关，在舞台上跳动作幅度大的舞蹈，很难一起发出 嘹亮的歌声。

When the family assembled for Sunday dinner Their minds made up that they wouldn't get thinner on Argentine joint, potatoes and greens Then the cook would appear from behind the scenes And say in a voice that was broken with sorrow “I'm afraid you must wait and have dinner tomorrow The joint has gone from the oven like that!
And the family would say, ”It's that horrible cat!It was Mungojerrie or Rumpleteazer!“ And most of the time they left it at that
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer had a wonderful way of working together And some of the time you would say it was luck and some of the time you would say it was weather They'd/We go through the house like a hurricane and no sober person would take his oath Was it Mungojerrie or Rumpleteazer? Or could you have sworn that it mightn't be both? And when you heard a dining room smash or up from the pantry there came a loud crash Or down from the library came a loud ping From a vase that was commonly said to be Ming Then the family would say: Now which was which cat? It was Mungoherrie and Rumpleteazer and there's nothing at all to be done about that!

这首歌是赞美老德特一生经历的歌，表明了老德特在猫群里的身份。但 除了强调老德特的寿命之长（“老德特活了很久，他已经活了猫的九条 命－－我忍不住想说，九十九条。”），歌里并没有太多描述老德特业 绩的段落。反复唱段都是咏叹“是，不，喔，啊！我想我看到了老德特。”歌曲结束的时候老德特上场，所有的猫都冲上去拥抱住他，表现了 对老德特无比的尊敬和崇拜

这是蒙克斯为老德特解闷而编写的一个歌剧。在老德特到来之后，所有 的猫穿上戏装（比如鞋盒装做狗头）扮演各种各样的狗。剧的情节很简 单，就是两只狗在街上相遇之后打起架来，结果所有听见叫声的狗都跑 来参战的故事。最后以威武的英雄蓝姆斯猫出现，吓走了打架的狗结束。可麻烦的是，任凭认真的蒙克斯费尽心机，所有的猫不是搞错了台词，站错了地方，就是错过了正确时机。于是这一场成了《猫》里的滑稽 剧，很多最逗笑的情景都是来自这一场。
这首歌的节奏十分快，歌词好像绕口令一样。蒙克斯想保证歌声嘹亮而 且吐字清晰，就要看演员的功力了。

忽然恶猫麦克再次出现，所有的猫儿 纷纷躲在角落里。蒙克斯保护在老德 特前面，警惕地留在场中心。幸好麦 克只是在场边现一下身就消失了。几只小猫在老德特 的安抚下开始重新 歌唱，由此带动了 所有的猫儿再度集 合表演的舞会。
歌曲重复了“洁利珂舞会的 邀请”的一段。这一场舞蹈 则包括了维多利亚和其他几 只公猫（迷斯特，阿蓝奥兹，和没有上“火车上的猫” 妆的斯格姆）的双人舞。可 以想见，舞会已达到高潮。

格瑞泽第二次上场，所有的猫依然拒绝接 纳她，格瑞泽被孤伶伶地留在舞台中心。
格瑞泽努力地想重现当年的美丽时光，但是她已经年老体弱，永远不 能再像从前那样轻盈的舞蹈了。这时，她唱出了《猫》剧的名曲“记 忆”。老德特在舞台的背景里，听了她的歌声似乎很有感触。可是格 瑞泽没能看到他伸出的手，老德特哀伤地看着她黯然下场。第一幕结束。

年老体弱的阁斯，被詹丽搀扶着来到舞 台上，其他的猫纷纷起身给他最好的座 位。
老德特提醒所有的猫儿，快乐的本意不光是在现在，还有值得怀念的过去时 光。
小猫吉美玛用清脆的歌声 唱出格瑞泽的“记忆”的 旋律，她稚嫩的童音，道 出了《猫》剧的内涵“让 回忆牵引你，展开心扉，如果你在那里发现了快乐 的意义，一个新的生命就 会在你面前展开。”
猫儿们听了这些话，似乎有所触动。

剧情：
格斯一直由詹丽照顾，因此也由 詹丽向大家介绍他这只戏院里的 猫。
别看现在的格斯又老又瘦，而且因 为生病爪子也止不住的颤抖。可是 格斯在年轻的时候，可是戏院里鼎 鼎大名的演员。他曾经扮演过数不 胜数的优秀角色，甚至有一次谢幕 七次之多。老格斯也自豪地诉说当 年他精湛的演技，而且还有更重要 的，现在的小猫们所没有的，认真 踏实的态度。
“现在的小猫们，可不 像我们当年受过那么严 格的训练。他们只会耍 些小聪明，还以为蹦蹦 跳跳就能当好演员。” “这些现代戏么，也都 不错，可是，不能和我 们当年相比。”
－－格斯要是会说中文，一定就会说出“真是 一代不如一代”的话啦。
老格斯回忆着自己当年演过的角色，他明白那 些辉煌时光再不回来，十分哀伤。

16.格若泰格的最后一战

剧情：
这一首歌的场面很大，是《猫》全剧唯一的一次场景改换（由破烂堆转为 荡漾碧波中的船只和小岛）。这其实是老演员格斯一段关于当年演出的回 忆。很可惜这首歌，及后面的比利·麦库尔的叙事诗都没有被《猫》的录 象带收录。
格若泰格的最后一战，讲的是海盗格若
泰格，在海上危害四方，罪大恶极。
可是一天他见到美丽的母猫格瑞德波，受其迷惑，竟没能看到猫群的追杀，终
于在最后一战之中落水而亡。
在这一段里，格斯扮演格若泰格。（据说在舞台上，格斯在唱完“格斯： 剧院的猫”之后，突然挥去身上残旧破烂的老皮，摇身变成英武雄壮的大 海盗格若泰格。）詹丽身着白衣扮演格瑞德波。其他几只公猫（通常是蒙 克斯，斯格姆，塔阁，迷斯特和阿兰兹奥）先是扮演被格若泰格袭击的商 船船员，后来扮演冲上来杀害格若泰格的一群狸猫。
虽然听来也许像是个坏人罪有应得的故事，可是由于格若泰格与格瑞德波 对唱情歌真挚动人，而后在格若泰格被人围功的时候格瑞德波却偷偷溜掉，格若泰格反而变成了让人怜悯的悲剧英雄。
17.比利·麦库尔的叙事诗

剧情：
火车上的猫斯格姆即使与 老德特没有血缘关系，他 也无疑被猫儿们看作最可 爱的叔叔。他的到来，使 场上充满了快乐的气氛，所有的猫儿为他唱歌伴舞，和谐欢快的场面只有詹 妮的歌“老甘比猫”可以 媲美。
斯格宝是一只在火车上举足轻重 的猫。如果没有他细心周密的监 督，整个火车就无法顺利运行。斯格宝照顾着旅客、行李、车厢，甚至连车上的工人和列车长也 得听他调度。在半夜里他也不会 闲下来，而是在火车上下巡逻视 察，因为有责任心的斯格宝从不 让事情出一点差错。
猫群里的大猫小猫对劳苦功高的斯格宝 十分尊敬。他们用雨伞，埽笊，自行车 轮和探照灯为斯格宝装配了一辆火车，在这首歌结束的时候，大家把他像英雄 一样高举起来。
这一段的舞蹈虽然不多，但是场上的活 动纷繁多样，带了一点儿童剧式的灵活 多变的色彩。而且这首歌的节奏十分明 快，曲调流畅，是剧中较有名的曲目之 一。

19.麦克维题：神秘的猫

剧情：
这一段的风格急转，由无忧无虑 的旋律直落成神秘阴暗，流利婉 转的爵士乐。许多故事的关键情 节也都发生在这一首歌里。斯格宝的歌被麦克的到来打断。这一次，麦克不再隐藏在幕后冷 笑，而是直接闯到场上，带领他 的老鼠爪牙截走了老德特。
全场的猫儿都被这突然的变化惊呆了。在蒙 克斯带领其他猫追赶麦克的时候，两只曾经 与麦克相识的母猫，蒂米特和邦姆博，向躲 在角落里的小猫们讲述麦克这一只神秘的罪 犯猫。
麦克人称“隐藏的魔爪”，因为他虽然罪大恶极，可是 从没有人抓住过他犯罪的证 据。他看起来总是半睡半醒，无所事事的样子，其实那 只是他在深思熟虑时的伪装。无论他做了什么坏事，比如 偷人家的牛奶，打碎暖房的 玻璃，麦克总能抓出一两个 证人证明他不在案发现场。因此就连苏格兰场也没有他 的犯罪案底。
麦克自在地萧遥于法外，在 幕后操纵着无数恶行。蒂米 特和邦姆博愤怒的称他为“ 犯罪界的拿破伦”。
这一段里，两只母猫载歌载 舞，歌声亮丽浑厚，舞蹈柔 韧夭娆，是本剧的经典曲目。
蒙克斯和其他的猫儿没有找到老德特，失望的回来，不想几只老鼠忽然带着老 德特出现。他们解开老德特让他回到猫群之中。在所有的猫兴奋地拥抱老德特 的时候，蒂米特却连连退缩。只有她看出场上的老德特不是老德特本人。最后，她终于冲上前去揭开老德特的灰皮，原来皮的下藏着的是大犯罪者麦克！
麦克被揭露了面目，放肆地 伸出利爪，在猫群里四下抓 咬，猖狂到极点。可是在他 又一次抓住蒂米特，想要截 持她的时候，蒙克斯和阿兰 兹奥冲上去救下了蒂米特。
然后，蒙克斯和麦克展开一场血淋 淋的大战。最后蒙克斯虽然失败，但是被激怒的猫群勇敢地站起来，团团围攻麦克。麦克敌不过这么多 猫，在受伤之后他抓过场边裸露的 电线，使电线造成短路，全场陷入 一片黑暗。麦克也称着黑暗逃跑了。
暗中，受伤的猫儿互相安慰。

剧情：
猫群在黑暗中惶恐不安，他们急需 要找回老德特，却又不知道该如何 找起。这时候，塔阁从躲避的地方（他大概是唯一没有参战的成年猫）走出来，向大家介绍了一只年轻 的猫：迷斯特弗里斯先生（迷斯特）。
迷斯特是一只有魔力的猫，要说他的魔幻法术，就连 人类的魔术师也甘拜下风。他看起来小巧灵活，年轻 而且有些害羞，可是他的能力不能让人小看。他能穿 过最小的缝隙，也曾在帽子里变出七只小猫，他能使 人在空间里跳跃，大家明明在屋里刚看见他，转眼他 却在房顶上出现。
迷斯特在塔阁的歌声中从天而降。他用魔力引亮了场 上的灯，使破烂堆又现光明。
然后，他选卡珊德拉做助手，用一快红绸变 回了老德特。
所有的猫一起为老德特的归来和迷斯特的魔 力欢呼。小迷斯特自己也因为有机会为猫群 做大事而高兴得连蹦带跳。
这一首歌，在一些版本里是塔阁独唱，但也有一些版本里是塔阁和迷斯特合唱。但是 舞蹈只有剧团里最优秀的舞者--迷斯特独自承担。这首歌的曲调动听，重复的地方多，因而会给人留下很深的印象。

音乐剧《猫》是韦伯根据英国著名诗人托马斯·斯特尔斯·艾略特的儿童诗集《擅长装扮的老猫经》改编而成的，最初这部音乐剧是不被看好的，最后在韦伯的坚持努力下成为了世界巨著，取得了辉煌的成绩。
《猫》描述的是：杰里科猫族要举行一年一度的盛大聚会，这个聚会的目的是在所有猫中挑选一只猫升天，大家都知道猫有九条命，但是被选中升天以后可以再次获得新生。于是，各种各样，形形色色的猫陆续登场，尽情表现，全力展示自己，用歌声和舞蹈来讲述自己的故事，希望能够被选中得以升天。最后，由魅力猫，也就是曾经美丽高贵，光彩照人，现如今却丑陋落魄，无比邋遢的一只猫所获得，她以一曲感人动听的《回忆》打动了所有在场的猫，最后成为可以升入天堂的猫。
这是一部时长较长的作品，看完整部音乐剧，给我的第一感受就是好看，还想再看一遍，绚丽的舞台，优美的舞步，美妙的歌声，形象的妆容，高超的演技，各种好汇聚一起，演员表演的很到位，他们经常匍伏在地，很符合猫的特征，特别是扮演母猫的女演员，天然一股风流，媚不可挡。公猫则阳刚与自得。他们似乎人人都把自己当作猫了，表情各异，但都有猫的慵懒，眼睛不大睁得开，一睁开又精光四射，吓人一跳。动作也轻捷，配合小心谨慎的一副猫容，形象生动，非常逼真。看完大家会一起感慨议论：“这些演员怎么会这么优秀，身材好，舞跳的好，边跳边唱也唱的这么好，不喘气，又演的好，妆也化的好，一个个化的真像活生生的猫，这样的全能型演员不容易啊。”我们是既羡慕又佩服。
其实整部作品我最喜欢的，让我印象最深刻的就是魅力猫演唱的《回忆》，这首旋律应该是所有认识它的人都爱的一个作品，由魅力猫演唱更是符合她当时的情况，达到扣人心弦，感人至深的效果。魅力猫年轻时是猫族里最漂亮的一只猫，她厌倦了猫族的生活，为了追求新鲜刺激去外面的世界追寻梦想，可惜情况不如人意，生活坎坷，青春也随着时间逝去，当她大失所望回到猫族之后，魅力猫已变成一只邋遢落寂、丑陋难看的老猫了，对于魅力猫来说，失去了以往的光环，落得现在这样落魄的下场更是需要大家的关怀和同情，她需要温暖，可是大家看她样子如此落魄丑陋，都不愿意接近她，害怕她，甚至嘲笑她，对她充满了敌视。可怜的她不断地徘徊于猫群的周围，几次请求猫群的原谅，最后发自肺腑地唱出《回忆》后而感动了所有的猫，赢得大家的同情，让大家都加纳了她。
该曲以忧伤的情调和动人心弦的旋律，表现了魅力猫回忆它离开杰里科猫族外出闯荡，经历了各种艰难遭遇和人生痛苦，昔日美好时光的流逝，青春不再，夕阳黄昏，对家乡和亲人的眷眷思念与渴望，都在歌中得到淋漓尽致的宣泄。
她在演唱时没有任何的舞蹈动作，也没有人为她伴舞，只是他一个人静静的唱完整段旋律，整首歌曲就是她的真实写照，回忆过去的美好，与现实的凄凉形成鲜明的对比，突出她的悲伤并期待拥有幸福，非常安静祥和，令人感动。自《猫》诞生以来，《回忆》这首歌就开始传播四海，那如泣如诉的旋律，一下就能抓住人们的心。演唱《回忆》的时候都是演员最深情、观众最感动的时刻，这也使得该剧更具有生命的意味和充满哲理的想象。我认为这部音乐剧的成功也体现在歌曲《回忆》上。

回忆（2）领袖猫告诉猫儿们，幸福的含义不仅仅是现在，也包括过去那些不能遗忘的事情，月光下，杰里可猫族中最年幼的小猫杰米玛唱起了《回忆》，猫儿们都流露出感动的表情，悲天悯人，宽大为怀。（音乐情绪是和睦、温馨、幸福的。）由其最后全体猫儿们起立的一刹那，表达了猫儿们对幸福生活的向往，对美好未来的憧憬与企盼，盼望幸福的降临。

这节课主要内容是欣赏音乐剧。采用的教学方法，有利于学生感受、体验、理解、掌握音乐剧的特点。如：在教学中欣赏两次《回忆》，引导学生体验不同演唱者不同心情下，同样的旋律和歌词，所传达出来的感受是不相同的。这就完全改变了传统的以知识传授、技能训练为主的教学模式。在这节课的开始部分，观看《白毛女》芭蕾舞剧和《如果·爱》音乐剧的片断，探讨什么他们的区别，在课中也有大量的视频片断，这些辅助性的做法，其意义不仅在于增加学习的兴趣，还在于加深学生对音乐剧的体验和理解，并扩展与音乐相关的文化知识。初中生生活阅历不深，文化程度不高，对于一些作品无法理解。在本教案中选取大量地世界经典作品进行展示，使原来深奥的概念变得直观形象。不同作品的欣赏也丰富学生的音乐知识，提高学生的审美情趣。
不足之处，应该让学生分组在课后查找资料进行探究性学习，从理性的角度进一步了解音乐剧。接找让学生模仿或创作表演《猫》，在排练和演出的过程中能够获得较为具体的情感体验。把音乐剧的知识在运用到自己的创作时间中。学生们可以在积极的创作中获得了经验，提高了学习兴趣，也展示和发展表演才能及创造才能。
