但凡是老板，在看待员工时，都希望员工忠诚，可说到忠诚的对象就模糊了。当公司小时，可以说老板说的忠诚，是忠诚于老板，别人来挖，打死不走，而且要“读老板的书，听老板的话，做老板的好员工”。并严格执行老板的指令，为老板负责。但大公司，说到忠诚，那说是的忠诚于谁呢？为谁负责呢？是忠诚于公司，忠诚于上司，还是忠诚于自己？恐怕很多老板和管理者，自己都没有想清楚这个问题，再来引导员工，就很难达到目的了。首先我们作为职业人，要忠诚于自己。一个员工如果连自己都不忠诚的话，怎么可能忠诚于公司？而忠诚于自己，就是要忠诚于自己的价值观，自己为人处世的准则。一个没有原则的人，一个变色龙，就是对自己的前途和未来不负责任。

另外就是要有自己的目标，知道自己要什么。一个没有目标的员工，他的上司是很痛苦的，上司说：好好干，干好了，我给你加薪。他说：我不爱钱，家里有钱，上班就是为了打发时间。或说：钱这个东西是身外之物，差不多就行了，太多了也没有必要，我不要钱。上司又说：那好好干，我给你升职。他说：我现在做员工就很好，升职成了主管，还要管人，太麻烦了，我自己管自己就好。于是上司咬着牙说：好好干，我给你学习和成长的机会，如何？他说：我现在完全能胜任工作，没有必要学习，太累，到时候再说吧。这样的员工你怎么管理？他什么都不要，他无欲则刚了，没有自己的目标，老板拿他怎么办？可以说他是享受工作，享受生活。但他在当今的社会上，有资格这样吗？一个没有目标的人，我认为就是一个不忠诚于自己的人，这样的人，怎么可能对公司忠诚呢？所以老板首先要教育员工成为，为自己负责的人，然后才有可能为公司负责，为老板负责。

其次要忠诚于公司的“宪法”，并执行在“宪法”之下的各项制度。为什么不说忠诚于公司呢？公司只是个抽象的概念，它不是一个活生生的人，公司的代表人物可以说是老板，但老板和员工隔着很多层，想忠诚也够不着。于是老板在公司制订规章制度，建立企业文化，进行教育和训练，提出一些象“宪法”一样的东西。员工忠诚于这些“宪法”，按照这些原则和方法办事，就是忠诚于公司，忠诚于老板。这也是为什么很多老板，强调企业文化和制度的根本原因。

最后来说说忠诚于上司。上司是上司的上司任命的，最终也是老板任命的，所以忠诚于上司，也就是忠诚于老板，因为上司是老板的代理人。当然上司做的事情，在老板给的权限范围内，你忠诚于上司时，才是忠诚于公司。在很多公司，跟对人比做对事更重要。所以有人选择永远都忠诚于某个上司，无论他是正确与错误，也是可以理解的。但站在企业管理的角度，这不是好现象，如果那个上司辞职，会带走一大批“他的人”，给公司造成很大的损失。所以作为老板，要不断强调公司的企业文化，制度，公司的“宪法”，就可以对盲目地忠于上司，进行制约。
