应该说，“牛顿苹果树”是一棵科学精神树，让它生长在大学里真是再合适不过了。或许，大学生从听说牛顿的故事，到亲眼目睹牛顿苹果树，其对科学精神的理解一定更加深刻，这将鼓励大学生用孩子般的好奇心去探求一个个科学奥秘。剑桥大学向李嘉诚捐赠“牛顿苹果树”可谓用心良苦，而李嘉诚把这棵树转赠给自己捐赠建成的汕头大学更是寓意深远。

唯成功论的悲哀

唐骏“学历门”事件，网络上有段精彩的概括：唐骏这件事，在美国，他要辞职，因为100个美国人只有一个价值观——诚实；在日本，他要谢罪，因为100个日本人也只有一个价值观——担当；在中国，他要狡辩，因为100个中国人有100个价值观。
我觉得，最后一句说得还太客气。从“学历门”之后的争论看，在中国，至少一半以上的人都有一个价值观——“成功”。通俗地说，就是只要赚到钱，且不被关进去就是本事。唐骏可以说既是这种“唯成功论”的受益者，同时也是受害者。
说他是受益者，不是吗？若论财富的多寡，唐骏最多只是个高级打工仔，为什么当年他会浮出水面？因为社会需要唐骏，需要他来给我们讲述一个知识英雄的故事。和其他“成功者”不同的是，唐骏意识到了这种社会需求，且和潮流一拍即合。当很多人仅仅将“成功”当做结果去享受的时候，唐骏已经清晰意识到，对“成功”的渴望是如此让普通学子仰慕，对“成功”的迷信是如此让企业家们沉醉。他像经营品牌一样，通过出版、访问、演讲乃至造假，十数年如一日地经营着自己。通过“品牌运营”，他逐步黄袍加身，用“小成功”换“大成功”，最后兑现成真金白银。
说他是受害者，是因为如果这个社会没有对唐骏提出“没有成功，只有更成功”的苛刻要求，一个职业经理人也就不会在追逐成功的同时忽略掉作为一个人最基本的品质，以至于被方舟子三拳两脚、轻易地逼到拳台的角落，貌似庞大的巨人哥利亚，仅仅被“文凭”这把小小的弹弓弹了一下，就像充气娃娃一样泄了气。
从这个角度上说，我们质疑唐骏，并非仅仅是质疑他，我们质疑的也是多年来对于“成功”的迷信。唐骏“学历门”事件值得我们反思的是，当我们定义“拥有足够的财富和地位就是成功”的时候，是否忽略了这种“唯成功论”本身的虚弱？是否意识到，一个人的成功可以也应该拥有更丰富的可能？对于“财富成功”的过度渲染，会压迫乃至消灭其他社会价值观的存在空间。
事实上，不管承认与否，“唯成功论”已经一统中国多年。即便是蹒跚走路的孩子，恐怕也早已被父母们预订了“成功”的轨道：穷人出身——海外留学(微博)——双料博士——财富滚滚，一如唐博士的“轨迹”。我们的求学、婚姻、事业，所有一切，莫不包裹在这庞大的“成功”羽翼下。而那些看似和“成功”无关的东西——对社会的关怀、对情感的珍惜、对人格的追求……却被压榨得越来越小。结果，如今的我们都只想坐进拥挤的宝马车里，哪怕泪痕满面。

越来越霸道，“非成功”的价值观空间也越来越小。
纸面的骚动，虽然是微弱的，但终究是我们内心挣扎的写照。
诚信是立身之本，诚信者未必能成功，成功者却不能不诚信，这个千百年来被印证的道理不是现世的功利就可抹杀的。
