一、概述
备忘录是一种录以备忘的公文。在公文函件中，它的等级是比较低的，主要用来提醒、督促对方，或就某个问题提出自己的意见或看法。在业务上，它一般用来补充正式文件的不足。它的内容可以分为以下几项： 书端（Heading）
收文人的姓名、头衔、地址（Addressee‘s Name，Title，Address）称呼（Salutation）事因（Subject）正文（Body）

二、备忘录写作注意事项

在上篇文章中，我们已经向大家详细介绍了2010年英语(一)曾经考过的应用文——通知的写作格式。对此，从第一行的题目一直到最后一行的署名，诸位即将参加考研的同学们务必要牢牢记住其中的每个细节，因为“格式恰当”也是咱们考研应用文考查的一个重要评分标准。对于应用文的几个评分标准来说，它是最简单、最容易掌握的一个;但是对于同学们来说，鉴于它的琐碎性与细节性，它又是同学们最常因为马虎粗心而犯错的一个。古人讲：“一屋不扫，何以扫天下!”因此，作为一个未来的研究生，大家不要在这样的细节上出现失误。
此外，在今天的这篇文章中，我们继续给大家介绍下一种告示类应用文——备忘录，虽然在英语(一)和英语(二)中都还未曾考过，但是咱们的两个考研英语大纲却一直都明确规定应用文考查类型中包括备忘录。至于备忘录到底是什么，有什么样的写作思路，这些我们早在系列介绍考研英语应用文的写作思路的时候已经详细地讲过，大家可以去翻阅查看。本文中主要给大家介绍一下备忘录的写作格式。

At around this time of year, many invitations are received from companies and clients to Spring Festival dinners.Gifts are also sometimes received.I am sure that such offers only result from a job being well done and it is certainly pleasing to know that the level of service provided by staff is appreciated.However, the acceptance of any offers, entertainment or gifts, can lead to either a real or perceived conflict of interest.To ensure that this does not arise, all such offers should be declined and gifts returned.I should appreciate your understanding and cooperation.首先，与通知一样，备忘录也须有题目，但是其中不同的是备忘录的题目非常简单，就是Memo，首字母M要大写，此外它居于答题空间的首行中间位置。
其次，从第二行开始接下来的四行位置则是备忘录比较个性特殊的格式了。
第一行是“To: ”，也就是此封备忘录的写作对象，而且鉴于备忘录是一种告示类文章，那么它的收件人往往是一群人，而不再是书信之中的一个人。
第二行是“From: ”，也就是此备忘录的写作者，在这里面，既可以只写人名，也可以在人名后面加上其职位等身份，但是两者之间要用逗号隔开。
第三行是“Date： ”，也就是写作日期。英文中日期的写法我们已在上篇文章的通知中详细介绍过，在此就不再多加赘述了。
第四行是“Subject： ”，也就是整封备忘录的内容概括，但是在这边大家需要注意的是小标题的内容一定要是短语形式，而不能是一个完整的句子。
再次，上面四行内容结束之后，我们还需在其下面空出两行方能书写正文内容。至于正文的写作格式，我们则采取缩进式，即段落之间不空行，但是每段开始前都要空格，而且是四个英文字符的空间。

在考研英语的Part A 小作文部分，除了书信这个考查重点之外，《大纲》还明确规定了另外两种告示类应用文的考查形式，即通知和备忘录。上篇文章中，我们已经详细讨论过了通知的写作方法及其注意事项。对此，大家务必要仔细总结和研究，理清通知的写作思路。除此之外，对于备忘录，大家也须认真准备格式写作方法以及正文的写作思路，因此本文就对此种应用文进行深入的解析。
备忘录，英文中称为memo或者memorandum，是一种记录有关活动或事务，起揭示或提醒作用，以免忘却或忽视的应用文。写作时，内容须详实、具体、完备，语言要朴实、准确。
首先，作为一种独立的应用文类型，备忘录自成一家，有其独特的规范化的写作格式。而格式恰当又是考研英语小作文中非常重要的一项评分标准，因此首先我们就对备忘录的写作格式进行说明讲解。一般说来，完整而又正式的备忘录的格式通常如下：

对此备忘录的格式大家需要清晰掌握，尤其是涉及到一些细节问题，比如Subject下面就是正文内容，但是这两者之间确是要空两行的空间，这也是《大纲解析》上面的范文所明确使用的格式;其次，之前所写过的各种书信以及通知在正文之后都有署名，而备忘录的最后却是没有的。对于这些细节问题大家可以与书信，通知等对比着去记，以免弄混三者。
以上就是备忘录的格式问题。接下来就以范文为例主要看一下其正文内容的写作思路。
一般来说，在考研英语中，备忘录主体部分的写作可按照三个步骤进行，即“三步走”策略。

但是在备忘录中，情况却并不如此。鉴于备忘录是起提示或警示作用的应用文，因此在表明这种提示或警示的主要目的前需要先介绍此事件的发生背景，主要包含相关事情及人物的介绍等等。
中段：此段就是要写明通知的主要内容，也就是其写作目的了。到底是要提醒写作对象某个事情呢还是警示收信对象不要去做某些事情，则是由具体题目而定了。不过，不管怎么说，思路一定要富有逻辑，语言切记要委婉，尤其是警示对方时，这一点就显得更为重要了。
尾段：本段中，紧接前面内容，说完自己的主要目的之后，就要进行结尾了。作为一封警示性的备忘录，结尾中自然是要向写作对象表明希望其理解并合作的期望了。
