There was a young man born in a poor family.As a result, his school career was continually interrupted.Once he was asked to write a paper about what he wanted to be and do when he grew up.That night he wrote a seven-page paper describing his goal of someday owning a horse ranch.He wrote about his dream in great detail and he even drew a diagram of a 200-acre ranch.Then he drew a detailed floor plan for a 4,000-square-foot house
that would sit on a 200-acre dream ranch.He put a great deal of his heart into the project and the next day he handed it in to his teacher.Two days later he received his paper back.On the front page was a large red F with a note that read,“See me after class.”
The boy with the dream went to see the teacher after class and asked,“Why did I receive an F?”
The teacher said, “This is an unrealistic dream for a young boy like you.You have no money.You have no resources from your family.There’s no way you could ever do it.”
Then the teacher added, “If you will rewrite this paper with a more realistic goal, I will reconsider your grade.”
The boy went home and thought about it long and hard.He asked his father what he should do.His father said, “Look, son, you have to make up your own mind on this.However, I think it is a very important decision for you.”
Finally, after sitting with it for a week,the boy turned in the same paper, making no changes at all.He stated, “You can keep the F and I’ll keep my dream.”
Recollecting the story,my friend Monty and I are now sitting in his 4,000-square-foot house
in the middle of a 200-acre horse ranch.Two summers ago that same schoolteacher brought 30 kids to camp out on his ranch.When the teacher was leaving, he said, “Look, Monty, I can tell you this now.When I was your teacher, I was something of a dream stealer.During those years I stole a lot of kids’ dreams.Fortunately you had enough gumption not to give up on yours."

第四篇：追寻创业梦想
放飞创业梦想，彰显青春风采
青春中国梦，创业我先行。7月14日下午，河南理工大学土木工程学院“青春榜样，共话创业梦”暑期社会实践队前往焦作市高新区万鑫商城开展主题为“放飞创业梦想，彰显青春风采”的暑期社会实践活动。
激情七月，炎阳高照，实践队员不畏酷暑，整装出发，踏上追寻青春创业梦想之旅。到达目的地后，队员们迅速行动，通过“创业精神宣讲、寻找自主创业人士，并预约采访”等形式开展调研活动。实践队员以充分的准备、热情的宣讲、真诚的态度赢得了群众一致的赞许与好评；队员们还先后联系了20多家新生创业公司，并成功预约了“体育时代”、“国宇宋河”等公司的经理。
此次行程在夕阳的映衬下结束了。队员们纷纷表示，创业实践活动在了解社情，提高自身就业能力、增强创业观念等方面有指导性的意义，在引导大学生转变就业观念，帮助大学生成功创业方面发挥了积极作用。

my great pleasure to share my dream with you today.When I was a child, I wanted to be a teacher.My father was a teacher, and he taught me a lot.I worshiped him very much.On my tenth birthday, he asked me,“What do you want to be when you grow up?”I answered proudly,“I want to be a teacher like you!”On hearing this, my father was very happy and said to me, “Work hard and your dream will come true.” Not long ago, one of my primary school teachers was ill.She wanted me to take her place for two weeks.I was glad but nervous.My father said to me,“This is a good chance.Seize it!I wish you success!” When I came into the classroom, the children were very happy.I introduced myself to them.Soon, I got on well with them.They all liked me and I loved them.With my father and headmaster's help, I did the work very well.Now, I often miss those lovely children.That experience had made me even more interested in being a teacher in the future.
