英语人生

2011年6月2日,史蓉蓉老师受邀给同学们开主题班会,史老师与大家一起来分享学习英语的经验与快乐,领悟人生的成功和失败。

在班会中,史老师讲述了自己与英语交流的人生,包括自己考研的历程。通过自己的人生经历 给我们即将报考英语四级的同学很多经验,如何在生活和学习中快乐的学习英语,在英语学习中,包括雅思、托福类别英语考试,在英语学习和考试中,我们怎样才能正面对待,不惧怕英语考试等问题,史老师都做了详细的回答。

史老师作为中北大学的一位英语老师,在课堂中展现了她热爱英语、热爱生活的态度,在场的同学都能体会到史老师对英语的无线追求。她无疑是我们心中的佼佼者,期间老师也讲述了自己关于英语学习的酸甜苦辣,技巧心得,可谓难以一言尽诉。通过自己的故事,告诉我们,在学习英语的过程中需要自己付出百倍的努力,才能获得自己想要的东西。

对于我的英语学习历程一直都很艰难,英语水平不高的我,每次都很害怕英语考试。通过史老师讲述自己的英语学习历程,我懂得英语学习不需要死记单词,需要在生活和书本上联系实际来学习,英语水平差不要紧,最重要的是不要放弃,只要努力就会成功。我坚定了我现在的学习目标,在6月份的英语四级考试中,要发挥自己的水平,通过四级考试。

针对大家英语学习中的思维与口语的问题,周老师从生活中的小事说起,让大家在他的幽默中领悟到英语学习的真谛,同时也给大家带来了标准的英式口语,不时引来场下阵阵掌声!

在老师的讲述中,我们知道,从全世界来看,说英语的人数已经超过了任何语言的人数,英语在45个国家是官方语言,世界三分之一的人口讲英语,75%的电视节目是英语,四分之三的邮件是用英语书写,电脑键盘是英语键盘,任何一个会议敢号称是国际会议,其会议工作语言一定要用英语。二十几亿人口都在说英语,比如在日本,除了他们的本**语——日语之外,由于其特殊的历史背景,英语是他们的第二语言,很多高层次的日本人以会说英语为荣;我们还可以看到,很多官方的、政府性质的活动、文件、交流方式,处处体现出英语的重要性;另外,大多数国家的高等学府,大学院校,都开设英语语言文学专业,仅在中国,就有一百多所大学设有英语专业或英语相关专业;还有,电脑和互联网,也是建立在英语的基础上,这个行业的语言,就是英语,另外,在医学领域、建筑领域、文学领域,都与英语有极大的关联。

可见,英语的应用无处不在,我们已经身处在一个开口就是英语的时代和地方,英语对于我们而言,就像一日三餐对于人类而言不可或缺,只要这个地球存在,英语就会永远存续下去。

史老师能够很好地把握关键,以亲身的求学,工作经历,真诚,深刻但又十分风趣与生动地向大家展示了她的英语人生——热爱英语,从英语中体会到学习的快乐,进而达到人生的成功!

第二篇:人生英语

英语的复习大致可分为四个阶段: 1、3月—6月,这是考研复习的第一个阶段。在这个阶段,主要任务是解决单词问题。词汇量是考研英语的根本。教育部大纲中规定的是5500个单词,那么你对自己的要求只能是高于这个数字,因为大纲中还涉及到了与你的专业和个人兴趣相关的单词,所以单词复习是一个需要详细制定计划,并且循序渐进的过程。

第一轮背单词时,绝对要认真仔细,应该从以下五个方面来进行准备:

一、单词发音;

二、单词词缀;

三、单词词义;

四、单词用法;

五、单词关系(考生应掌握单词的同义词,反义词,派生词等)。

另外,阅读在这个阶段,也应该定量定篇的进行。考研阅读不但考理解,还考速度。因此,在平时的阅读训练中要学会浏览阅读和快速阅读的方式。在阅读文章时,不断的提高对自己阅读时间的要求,一段时间后,你一定会发现,你阅读的效率与答题的速度突飞猛进。

2、7月至9月底是全面复习的第二阶段。如果说第一阶段主要是打基础,那么,第二个阶段则开始进行全方位准备了。所谓全面复习,即大家应该开始拿起笔练习写作和翻译,不只是停留在背单词和读文章这个层面上。因为在前期阶段,你已掌握了大量的单词并进行了高强度的阅读训练,所以这个阶段,应该开始试着用英语表达你的想法,并且检查自己对英语的理解能力。在这个阶段不但应该解决了所有的基础问题,同时还要有一段时间进行提高,为下一步的全程模拟做好充分的准备。建议你可以采取上辅导班或自学相结合的方式。

3、10月至11月底是强化阶段,是进行模拟强化和真题总结的时期。在此之前,一些权威的考研辅导专家一般会推出根据新大纲编写的模拟试题集。大家通过做最新模拟试题以及综合研究真题的收获,可以体验实战的感觉。强化阶段的英语复习计划应该更倾向于综合训练与模拟,但是同时,也不要忘记单词的巩固与记忆。

4、12月份到考前,是冲刺阶段。考生们不但需要调整好临考前的心态,而且也要静下心来进行查缺补漏。比如说,翻译部分没有练习过或者比较薄弱,那么这段时间里,你需要针对个人弱势调整复习重点和时间,对弱势考点进行突破。如果不重视这些将会有可能前功尽弃。

另外,同学们在考前应该保持一个良好的心态。如果身体状况不佳,心理素质差,即便是比较好的英语基础,复习比较充分,也未必在考场上有良好的表现。

2009年全国硕士研究生入学统一考试英语大纲解析

与去年的大纲相比,2009年全国硕士研究生入学统一考试《英语考试大纲》完全没有变化。就语言知识而言,大纲仍然强调考生应该能够熟练地掌握和运用语法知识和5500个大纲词汇。就语言技能而言,大纲继续突出阅读和写作的重要性,关于阅读,强调“考生应能读懂选自各类书籍和报刊的不同类型的文字材料(生词量不超过所读材料总词汇量的3%)”;关于写作,则强调考生“应能写不同类型的应用文,包括私人和公务信函、备忘录、摘要、报告等,以及一般描述性、叙述性、说明性或议论性的文章(实际就是应用文和图画作文)”。总的来说,上述语言知识和语言技能仍然是研究生入学英语考试的主要测评目标。

对比往年考点,接下来按照具体题型分别为大家全面解析2009年考研英语大纲:

一、完型填空

完型填空主要测试考生结合上下文的综合理解能力和语言运用能力,即在阅读理解的基础上对篇章结构,语法和词汇知识的运用能力的考查,这是对完型填空的定位。大纲明确指出对完型填空考核的重点:语法、固定搭配、近义词辨析和逻辑关系四大类题型。这种提法针对性更强。考生可从历年真题中按照提示的四类题型去准备和复习有关考研完型填空方面的知识点,这样可以做到事半功倍的效果。

同时考虑到完型填空在历年考研中得分较低,大纲明确了考生解答完型填空题的思路,对于考生备考和解题都更具针对性。即:“从上下文的角度来考虑”和“运用逻辑推理”,这两点都要求考生大到对文章整体的把握,小到对句子之间和句子内部把握,区别在于前者强调的是文章内容的一致,后者强调的是文章逻辑的一致:“从惯用法和搭配的角度来考虑问题”,这点要求考生对惯用法和搭配要有更多积累。

二、阅读理解

就阅读理解(PartA)而言,由于这是一个大家非常熟悉的题型,也连着考了10几年,命题专家都有丰富的经验来应对它,因此每次考试最稳定的就是四选一的阅读理解题。就文章题材来说,近几年越来越重视对人文科学的考查,平时要多注重阅读一些英美经济文化科技方面的报刊书籍,例如The Economist(经济学家),Newsweek(新闻周刊),Times(时代周刊)以及The Times(泰晤士报)上面的文章。在寻找材料时,要有选择,比如说不要涉及政治方面及时事方面比较敏感的话题,如种族歧视、宗教信仰、战争评论等。

有关2009年的阅读理解文章来源,考试大纲也已经明确表态,文章来源依旧是英语国家原版报刊或书籍,绝大多数是评论性的文章(即除文学作品以外的其他类型的短文)。由于新闻记者惯用“引用”的方法,考研的文章经常喜欢正反交替举例,先说作者认同的,然后又是作者要批评的、揭露的,再是用实例来论证作者的观点。这种语篇思维模式会给考生在阅读理解中造成很大的障碍。正因为难,考研命题专家就非常青睐这类语篇,来命题目。近两年,这种题目每次都有,而且得分率也很低,因此需要大家平时阅读时要多注重对于作者观点、立足点、态度语气的把握。

最后从语言难度来看,08年的阅读文章无论从词汇方面还是从句子方面与往年的难度有所提高,命题和前两年明显不同的是,大量考察了推理和判断题以及细节事实题。09年的阅读难度依旧,文章容易,选项“刁”。生词依然存在,但其比例仍然维持在3%左右。命题的风格、诱惑手段和解题思路也会和08年一致。

新题型:

该题型要求考生从整体上把握文章的逻辑结构和内容上的联系,理解句子之间、段落之间的关系,对诸如连贯性、一致性等语段特征有较强的意识和熟练的把握,并具备运用语法知识分析理解长难句的能力。05,06年考查的是难度相对较大的第一种选择搭配题,而07,08年则选择了难度相对较低的第三种——选择小标题。可以说,此题型是对语言能力和阅读理解能力的综合测试,因此在要求上远远高于这两种题型,考生有必要对这类题型的答题思路多练习,以提高自己在这个部分的应试能力。

三、翻译

纵观往年考研试题,我们发现命题者有一个非常清楚的或者非常明显的趋势和导向,就是对于比较难复杂的句子结构和文章的考查是加大比重了。这个体现在我们各个部分的题型当中,尤其以英翻汉部分最为明显。这个也反映出我们的命题者在考虑到各位同学在进入研究生学习之后需要接触大量的专业英语材料,这些材料的特点就是语言结构比较复杂,所以在考研当中考查考生对复杂语言结构和复杂长难句的理解的这种能力就成为了最近几年考试非常明显的特点和趋势。

2009年的翻译不会有任何变化,依旧考察在准确理解的基础上,按照英语语法结构拆分句子,准确、通顺翻译汉语的能力。翻译考点不变,主要考点还是包含对定语从句、状语从句等翻译的考察。考生只需按照自己原有的复习计划进行就可以,不必为翻译作任何复习计划的调整。

四、写作

2009年的大作文从命题形式上看,应该还是考核图表和漫画作文。从命题内容上来看,今年的漫画或图表作文一定还是有关于教育、职业道德、身体健康、家庭关系、环境保护、人口增长以及文化交流等话题。

考研大作文(20分)的要求是很好地完成了试题规定的任务:包含所有内容要点;使用丰富的语法结构和词汇;语言自然流畅,语法错误极少;有效地采用了多种衔接手段,文字连贯,层次清晰。平时练习主要注意两个方面:首先,语言是第一要素;其次,结构层次要清晰。

在语言方面,应把语言错误降低到最低限度。语言错误大致在如下几个方面:第一,主谓一致;第二,时态;第三,冠词的用法;第四,名词的单复数;第五,搭配问题;第六,单词的拼写。检查的时候,一般不要作内容上的修改。阅卷者根本不会意识到所加的话有多么重要,文章多一句话少一句话是不会改变阅卷者印象的。

根据考试大纲的文字来看,今年的应用文写作应依旧是书信的写作,希望考生能够把书信的格式进行进一步的强化。

应用文写作能力的提高不可能一蹴而就,必须经过长期的实践锻炼。重点要注意语域和格式两个问题。在复习阶段,应用文的写作,尤其是书信的写作要注意内容的格式安排,首先要熟悉不同类型的应用文写作格式,注意事项,写作特点等。其次要背诵大量的优秀范文。再次,是要多动手写作,要写出属于自己的文章。

鉴于英语考纲的稳定性,各位考生可以继续既定复习思路和计划。当然,千里之行始于足下,各位考生一定要脚踏实地落实自己的计划,这样才能达到事半功倍的效果。

It seems to be the outcome of positive events, but it actually comes from the inside, triggered by outer events.

For most people happiness seems fleeting, because they let changing outer circumstances affect it. one of the best ways to keep it, is by gaining inner peace through daily meditation. As the mind becomes more peaceful, it becomes easier to choose the happiness habit.

Here are a few tips for increasing happiness in daily life:
