一、社团宗旨 The aim of the English public speaking & debate League
英语演讲与辩论社团的宗旨是：Through debate and public speaking the oral English and logical way of thinking of the students’ will be improved;the horizon will be broadened;the spirit will be enlightened.It will enable them to think and judge in real situations by means of English, by the way, their will find confidence when communicate or deliver a speech.This League will fully take the role of students’ second class, in this way, a common ground will be established for the students to give them a chance to know and learn from each other and gain friendship there.通过辩论、演讲等活动形式加强社员的英语口语表达能力和逻辑思辨能力、开阔社员视野，启迪社员心智。学会用英语思维，增强英语实战能力，增加成员英语表达的自信。英语演讲与辩论社团充分发挥学生第二课堂作用，让成员们在英语口语交流中互相了解，建立友谊，为热爱英语的同学搭建交流平台。

英语演讲是英语语言的组织能力的综合运用。演讲与辩论社团指导学生如何进行英语演讲与辩论，每次课前进行“三分钟演讲”，给学生提供感兴趣的话题，使学生掌握演讲技巧，并积累大量词汇。同时，鼓励学生参加中学生英语演讲比赛，在比赛中得到锻炼和提高。Making English speech is the employ of the art of speaking in English.The members will learn how to deliver an English speech and to debate in English under the instruction of the League.The students will be provided with interest-arousing topics in their three minutes’ presentations at the beginning of the class everyday so that their strategy of making a speech will be perfected and their vocabulary will snowball as well.4、辩论赛：English debate contest
通过教师的辩论指导，观看辩论比赛录像，培养成员的英语辩论水平和团体合作能力，同时组织一定的辩论赛使学生掌握英语辩论技能。With the instructions of teachers and the watch of the debate contest videos, the members’ debate know-how and group work spirit will be cultivated.5、户内外英语角：Outdoor and Indoor English corner

活动内容简介
一、成立“英语角”
1、活动内容：“英语角”的成立主要以锻炼英文口头表达能力，为同学们提供良好的英语沟通环境为目的，通过同学们的交流互动提高口语能力，由辅导老师对语法知识、阅读能力、解题技巧作专门讲解。集学习性、交流性于一体，与学院的外语协会组织的英语角有所区别。这个英语角的学习性质比例较重，为成员营造了浓厚的全英文交流气氛，促进同学们英语水平的提升。

1、英语学习交流会
进入大学后，大家学习英语靠的不再是老师的督促和管教，而是自己的自学能力和一套自创的学习方法，但很多同学学习英语的求知感淡化，自学方法不够强，针对这一问题我们“英语沙龙”决定适时开展英语学习交流会。在交流会中由各个同学谈谈自己学习英语的方法，包括成功经验、失败教训以及现阶段自己学习英语面临的困难。希望在交流中吸取他人学习英语的成功之处，不断的完善自己的学习方法。
2、举办各类英语游戏
开展多种英语游戏，寓教于乐，可以激发大家学习英语的兴趣，也可以让自己的英语水平在娱乐中得到提高。例如，我们可以开展以下的此类英语游戏：
（1）瞬时记忆大比拼（游戏）
游戏规则：推荐1人参加此活动，一轮游戏可分四组同时进行。参与者站定后背着观众，此时四个工作人员各举一张卡片上场。卡片上写有一个句子，工作人员背向观众站定。由主持人下令让参与者同时向后转，此时开始计时，限时5秒钟。在这5秒钟内参与者可以看卡片上的句子并迅速的记下来。5秒钟后，工作人员将卡片给观众快速看几遍，然后将卡片扣在地面上。参与者有1分钟的时间将迅速记下来的句子写在参与者面前摆放着的黑板上。时间一到，工作人员将卡片举起面向观众，由评委审查参与者写的句子与题目是否一致。全对者可得满分，满分为100分。若参与者写的句子中有单词错误，错一个单词扣10分。
（2）单词接龙（游戏）
活动安排：一轮游戏可由4个小组同时进行。由各班组织推选5个人组成一组参加此游戏。场上放着各写有一个单词的4块黑板。计时开始后，各同学轮流（依次）上去写单词，同学们所写的单词要以黑板上所给单词的最后一个字母为首字母。按此方法依次接下去，限时3分钟，时间到最后接单词最多的小组为优胜组。每接对一个单词加10分，所接单词不得重复，重复的单词不计分。
3、出版英语刊物
此刊物刊登内容主要是学生的优秀英文作品、名家作品赏析以及教师对英语作文的修改原文等。通过这种形式鼓励大家提高英语写作兴趣和写作水平。争取刊物发行每个月至少一次。
4、欣赏欧美原声电影 1 知识传授型活动
专题讲座和开设选修课是该类型活动的主要形式。如举办讲座，我们邀请嘉宾围绕异国的社会文化背景知识和东西方文化的差异等主题进行介绍，随后现场解答学生常感困惑的问题。教师还通过开设《跨文化交际》、《英美概况》、《英美文学赏析》等选修课的形式传授较系统的上述方面知识，帮助学生克服因缺乏文化背景知识而造成的英语学习障碍。2 课堂延伸型活动
学生利用课外时间浏览与教材相配套的教学光盘或教师在网络上发布的课件等，及时复习课堂教学中的重点，弥补其在某些语言点和知识点上的缺漏。学生还可以通过访问专题网页，阅读书籍报刊、查看影音资料库等途径去扩充和深入了解教材里每个单元所设立的主题。教师可以把要学生完成的单元测试题等材料放到教师的个人主页上，师生通过电子邮件或论坛等形式就测试结果进行双向交流和反馈。3 基本技能培养型活动
在学院的支持下，我室把数字化语言实验室和与之相配套的网络软件等开放给学生开展自主学习。学生通过这一学习的平台所提供的课文跟读、听力练习，人机对话训练、在线阅读、写作和测试等功能和资源来提高他们在听、说、读、写、译等语言基本技能中所欠缺的方面。4 影视欣赏型活动
我们通过定期举办外语影视欣赏活动，让学生接触真实地道的语言和感受影视片所反映的特定文化。另外, 我们还就所播放的影视片开展观感交流、话题讨论，影视配音，角色扮演等系列活动，以增加学生语言输入和输出的机会，提高其语言的表达技能。5 听说与交际能力培养型活动
英语角是广受学生欢迎又愈久祢新的英语第二课堂活动。英语角由有关社团负责管理，由中外籍教师和听说能力强的学生提供协助并发挥他们的示范作用。除了自主组合、自由交谈方式外，英语角经常采取话题讨论法，如预设一些学生感兴趣的话题或选择国内外近期发生的热点事件以供讨论，来激发学生交流的欲望。此外，我们还在活动进行中穿插猜谜、笑话连篇、连句成故事等游戏活跃气氛，以降低学生在用英语交际过程中易产生的焦虑紧张等消极情感。
语言能力展示型活动
教师定期组织学生就某些思辨性强的话题进行辩论或演讲，又或者组织学生自编、自导、自演英文短剧。这些活动不仅需要参赛者或演出人员具备较强的语言综合运用能力，而且锻炼他们的逻辑思维、应变能力和包含表情、手势在内的非言语交际能力等。这一类型的活动还包括英文歌曲、英语写作、翻译等比赛。7 网络辅助型活动

尽管只能谈谈个人经历，而且只涉及其中一个小小的片段，但我相信，它仍然折射出对我和在过去15年间一同成长起来的青年人都不可缺少的一种思想基础。
我上小学时，班上有位小姑娘，学习非常刻苦而成绩却不尽人意。
老师要我帮助她。看得出，她也寄厚望于我。但我那时还是个小男孩，坐不住，不懂事。我老是me避她。以便有更多时间自己玩。
期末考试前一天，她来求我说“请你给我讲解一下行吗?这次我很想考得好一点。”我开始给她讲解，不一会儿便草草收场，假装没有察觉她迷茫的眼神，一溜烟儿地跑开了。不出所料，这次她又考砸了。两个月后，新学期依始，传来她死于血癌的消息。我没有完成那项小小的任务，无人知晓。但我却不能原谅自己。她的眼睛令我难以忘怀，仿佛在责问我，“你为什么不愿多帮助我呢?这对于你来说，并不费事。你为什么不能理解我对你的信赖，而让我带着痛苦和遗憾离开这个世界?”
我当时才八九岁。但从某种意义上讲，这件事成了我生活的新起点。因为我开始体会到“责任”二字的意义，并尽心尽力地学着完成自己的义务。我也逐渐领会了这个神圣字眼的深刻内含:人与人之间的彼此需要和信任、合作和依赖正是人类社会存在的基础。
之后，我在生活中又经受过多次失败，但那小姑娘之死所引起的懊悔，心里却不曾再现。想到自己做每一件事都能尽职尽责，一种满足之感便油然而生。
此事及类似的多起事件改变了我，完善了我。当我长大成人，我开始领悟周围发生的一切变化。我发现，从某种意义上说，社会跟我一样，正处在一个自我完善的时期。新建筑、新商品、新款式一天一个样。新思维、新信息、新技术层出不穷。即便万里相隔，人们在转瞬之间即可相互交谈。社会竞争越演越烈。
人们越来越强调个性和创造性。越来越多的人因工作努力而受到奖赏。这就是当今的时代，一代新人由成长迈入成熟的时代。这是我们这一代人接替父辈治国安邦的时代。然而，我们也面临很多间题。
据悉，坏人在光天化日之下作恶，周围的群众居然袖手旁观，无动于衷。我还听说，目前我国尚有100万儿童连小学也上不起，而巨额资金却拿去举办奢侈的宴会和购置豪华的轿车。
我们常常买的是劣质药品，或名曰药品实为一文不值的废物，非但不能除病去痛，反而会使
病情加重。在某些人看来，世上金钱最宝贵，只要能赚钱，不惜牺牲道德和责任。
因而，这个时代赋予我们的是更强烈的竞争和效率意识，使我们更善于批判性地思考和创造性地行动。
此外，这个时代要求我们这一代人必须认清自己肩负的历史重任，下定决心，采取行动，解决上述问题。长期以来，历史一直在我们这一代人身上培养着这些品质。现在，历史呼唤我们挺身而出，以实际行动向全民族及全人类证实我们的拳拳爱国之心和大无畏的英雄主义。
此刻，我站在讲台上回顾15年来的学生生活。今后的岁月，我很可能平平淡淡地度过。但这丝毫不会让我心灰意冷。因为我知道，凭借强烈的责任感和精益求精的不懈奋斗，我将追求一种有意义的生活，一种不枉此生的生活。
此刻，我站在讲台上回顾过去，15年来祖国取得的巨大成就激励着千千万万的同龄人。我们之中大多数人将与名利和权力无缘。只有极少数人或许会后世留芳。对此我们丝毫也不会在意。因为我们知道，世界在观望，世界在倾听。在这个大量机遇和激烈竟争并存的时代，我们国家究竟去向何方，整个世界都在关注。
我永远不会忘记班上那位小姑娘。她本应该却没能和在座各位一样享受今天美好的人生和明日充满希望的世界。

grandma , parents , little sister and little brother in my home.I have two aunts and three uncles , father is the old brother.So I have many brothers and sisters and I am the old sister.My parents are farmers, but I love them very much.They educate me to be down-to-earth, to be honest, to be polite, and it is them that behind me to support me silently, so I became I am not others.Now I am a present-Youth in the twenty-first century.I will left the university to go out into the world and find myself.Maybe I should be happy that I will make money on my own , but I am not happy.Once I believe in equality between man and woman.I will not hesitate to refute “ who says women worse than men? ”, but after more than two months on my way to apply for a job , the facts tells me “ women is worse than men in this society.”
