英文面试过程和技巧
自我介绍时应该记住“3P原则”:Positive(自信),Personal(个性),Pertinent(中肯)。
● 谈吐自信,就是要积极地进行自我肯定,让面试官充分了解求职者的优点与潜能。
● 突出个性,就是要把自己与众不同的特点发挥出来,强调自己的专业与能力。
● 语言中肯,就是要实事求是,不要言过其辞,夸夸其谈,也不要涉及与工作无关的事情。
自我介绍应简洁明了,给面试官留下思路清晰、反应快捷、逻辑性强的印象。自我介绍时间不宜太长,最好控制在五分钟之内,以免言多语失。
另外,在自我介绍时应避免过多地使用“I”(“我”),每个句子一开头就冒出一个“I”字,会给人留下自我标榜、以自我为中心的印象。灵活的应聘者往往会把以“I”开头的话,变成“You”字开头。
例如,面试官问:“Would you please say something about yourself?”(请你谈谈自己的情况好吗?)应聘者则说:“Do you want me to talk about my personal life or to say something about the job?”(你想让我谈谈我个人的生活呢,还是与这份工作有关的问题?)
这样,谈话就将求职者和招聘方都调动了起来。这种谈话的方式所产生的效果是不言而喻的。毕竟面试是求职者和招聘方互相沟通和互相选择的一次机会。
回答问题时要口齿清晰、语调适中。回答内容要有条理、避免重复。介绍工作经历的时间顺序采用倒序,从最近一份工作谈起,着重强调有利于新工作的业务经历,凡和此次应征不相关的内容,应尽量避免提及。
下面是一些面试中的注意事项。
(1)自我介绍不要面面俱到。
自我介绍时首先用一句话陈述自己的基本特征,然后迅速进入正题,选择自己最引以为傲的经历叙述。切记,面试官一般会承接求职者的自我介绍发问,所以在做自我介绍时最好不要涉及特别难讲清楚的事情或者比较抽象的概念。另外,在提交的简历中,已有详细的个人介绍,所以面试中只需突出重点。
(2)忌语速过快。
剑桥大学的一项调查显示,语速快一般体现不同的人具备的两种不同特质,一种是思维和语言反应能力强且协调的人,另一种是处事急躁的人。英文面试的第一目的是让招聘方了解求职者,最重要的是展示综合素质,绝非单单的语言能力,所以面试中应该首先力求表达清晰。另外,语速过快容易给人不自信、不稳重的感觉。
(3)语言尽量简单直接。
习惯于堆砌华丽词藻的人期待在面试中用大气磅礴的英文演讲征服面试官,其实犯了舍本逐末的错误。虚拟语气、倒装句和长词冗句不要在面试中使用太多,简单直接的语言才是在英文面试中最管用的。
面试中话题应该紧扣以下几个方面来展现自己的优势。

有时候招聘方会提到有关求职者的个人信息的话题,以此判断求职者是否符合他们的要求。例如有些工作需要方言和人脉,适合本地人来做;有些工作需要经常出差,单身的人就有优势。但是有些问题涉及到个人隐私,求职者不方便回答,例如招聘方问:“I noticed you're wearing a wedding ring.Do you have any children?”这时最好的回答就是“Why do you ask?”这样可以掌握主动,了解招聘方真正的意图,也许招聘方只是想知道求职者是否能长时间留在他们公司。

华为公司的群体面试是无领导小组讨论和压力面试相结合,在讨论的过程中,面试官可能会打断你或者通过Challenge应聘者来评判你在压力之下的表现。全部过程持续将近一个小时(但是下午听到有比较变态的组,群P了两个小时,真TM激烈)值得纪念的是,这是我人生当中的第一次群面!
1.自我介绍——面试官要求每个人说姓名、爱好、优点、缺点
尽量简短,面试官只给每个人一分钟的时间,而现场往往有很多人超时,超时的话就说了很多没用的东西。而且会前后矛盾,有的人说自己很有团队精神,结果后面小组讨论时却表现的很武断,还有,我发现非常多的人会说自己的缺点是过于追求完美,我不知道这样的回答是否合适。
我个人回答缺点时有一个原则,就是面试官问你缺点时,不要“老老实实”只回答自己的缺点,而是先陈述自己的缺点,再陈述自己为了改正缺点而做出了什么样的努力。“勇于承认缺点必然是好的,但是面试官更喜欢知错就改的人”
2.团队建设——起队名
一起群面的12个人分作桌子左右两边每6人分成一组,面试官给了大家一张白纸,要求大家在两分钟之内起好队名。
之后面试官会点名要求某人介绍队名,这个同学如果在讨论的过程中没有积极参与或是走神就麻烦了,表达不清楚,扣分!
3.Topic环节
之前完全没有准备,有人说时网上就有的一道,为影响人类历史发展的10大发明排序。人痘、青霉素、炸药、火车、水泥、输血、电影。。
先是自己写一张纸,然后交上去之后,小组成员就要集体讨论,每个人都有自己不同的观点,这个时候就看谁可以说服谁,你自己如果有大的原则,小的差别我认为是可以忽略不计的,但是有些人难免得胜心切,这个时候可能就是他要Challenge整个团队。
我们组在我的提议下订立了两大原则:
第一是生存原则
第二是自由与安全
(之后小组又补充加上了第三个原则促进和发展)
比较特殊的是,我们在这个过程中,没有选leader,Timer以及presenter。而是面试官点名让某位同学代表全组发言,这个时候,最能说的同学可能会按捺不住,而被点名陈述的同学恰恰又是这个组在讨论时发言最少的,面试官用意可见一斑。
展示完之后,面试官要求两个小组互相打分并给出打分理由。在这个过程结束后,两个小组若是有分歧就会展开激烈辩论,而这个时候,面试官也会在一旁添油加醋,这个时候就看到底谁能把场面Hold的住,当时的局势是面试官的意见对我方有力,所以我们就没有多说话,对方有的人就变得很着急,在反驳的过程中就会露出破绽。
二面整体总结
整个这个过程很有意思,我虽然不是专业的面试官,但是我能察觉出面试官到底想知道什么,当然我的反省能力是比较强的,在别人比较强势的时候,我会自我反思自己是不是也同样aggressive,同时自己是不是应该在适当的时间发表意见,场面有没有hold住等等。
如果在讨论当中参与较少尤其是当被面试官点名发言时,一定要抓住这最后的机会来好好的表达你的观点,如果还是“萎靡不振”的话,就不能怪面试官不客气了。我们这一轮12个人最后刷掉了4个人。
还有个人觉得组内成员不要互掐,此时此刻,你们几个人就是一个团队,目标就是打败桌子另一边的对手,有再大的分歧都是能够理解的,一致对外才是王道,当然,如果有人觉得自己被忽略,可以争取个补充发言什么的,有不同意见可以表达,但绝对不要成为整个团队的绊脚石。
综合测评
综合测评包括52道心理测试题,答得时候千万不要多想,就按照相对最符合和相对最不符合来选,虽然有时候觉得选项很蛋疼、很人格分裂,但这恰恰挖掘出了你内心的“阴暗面”所以千万不要多想,之前曾经做过一套专业的性格测评,就是因为多想两次被判定矛盾值过大测试无效。
三面(终面)
三面的问题和一面基本类似了,但是应该不是HR面而是专业面,由于我应聘的是销售岗位,面试官应该是一位销售经理。
1.一上来就问有没有女朋友
没有 = =(心里暗想,有的话十有八九就不来华为海外销售了,看来婚姻和爱情在这一行是事业的绊脚石啊)
2.我们的工作地点是在全球,你能否适应到艰苦地区工作
3.对自己知识结构的欠缺怎么看待(非技术背景应聘技术销售)
4.将来销售工作出去应酬,需要喝酒,是否排斥。
5.专业问题:面试官用英文问我,你如何看待,Sales和Marketing的区别,你为什么选择Sales而不是Marketing
我用英文回答,两个主要区别,第一,从人员上面,销售只要努力,只要勤奋就可以做好,而营销不是每一个人都能做的,他需要这个人有Marketing Sense。
第二,Sales是给企业赚钱的,而Marketing是要花钱的,销售要面对面和客户接触,而营销则是要设计营销组合,例如产品、价格、渠道、促销
6.我问面试官的问题——华为销售经理去海外可能性非常大,但是对专业要求较高,尽量要求是对口专业,包括电信通讯或电子等理工科专业的;小语种专业也会考虑。但商科学生能做销售的机会比较少。我想知道到底有多大的机会可以去海外?
面试官给出的答案是——出去的概率还是挺大的,不过不管怎样,你得先拿到华为的offer再说(好吧--)
三面整体总结
脑子稀里糊涂,我实在想不起来面试官还问了什么问题,这一轮面试我语速很快,还好整个逻辑很多都是按照一面来的,我语速很快的时候不断提醒自己说太快了,可还是忍不住再最短的时间内,把最好的自己展现给面试官。至于额外的新得写在三轮的整体总结里。
我直到这轮面试结束的时候才知道这是当天的最后一轮面试,之前以为还得有一轮,顿时有一种谢天谢地的感觉。离开的时候面试官说挺好,让我回去等通知,好吧,耐心的等吧。
华为三轮整体总结
华为公司的效率真的是太高了,早上出门的时候我还在想,别TM今天一天就都面完了,结果还真是,从上午九点到下午三点半,加上综合测评整整四轮选拔。对于一个非技术类、非小语种专业的学生应聘技术销售最大的感受就是这几场面试时对自己整个大学四年的一个考察,无论是学术还是课外活动和实习实践方方面面,面试官问我的每一个问题都能和当时所做的事情想对应上,脑海中浮现出一幕幕当时的情景。当然我觉得最重要的就是在整个面试过程中要像面试官展示出你的真诚和热情,做销售就是需要这样的真诚和热情!我在整个过程中很少有用什么所谓面试技巧,简历里的每一句话都谙熟于心,华为面试就告一段落,接下来就平静期待吧。
面试的时候,记得以一种坦诚又不过于直白和犀利,乐观又不过于炫耀或夸夸其谈的态度去和面试官沟通,简而言之,能让对方觉得在和你交流,能看到你的素养和培养潜力。这个offer估计是跑不掉了

Background:
面试时需要做自我介绍,这个时候不要细致地谈自己的生活情况或者工作经验,而是要想方设法地让面试官对你有所了解,告诉他一些事情,这些事情应该使你在招聘过程中具有优势。或许你想选取一些有人情味的故事讲给他听,但这么做,你要有把握与面试官的想法吻合。或者可以概述一下最近你干的工作和你正在申请的工作有什么联系,有怎样的帮助,以及你为什么要到这家公司工作等等。特别值得提的是,要举例子,这样你的回答才更具真实性,更容易被接受,才能给对方留下深刻的印象。
或者当面试官让你做自我介绍的时候,你可以主动问一下对方想知道自己哪方面的情况,这样也便于你的回答更加有针对性。但是这种做法的前提是你对面前的这个面试官有一定的把握,确信这样追问不会引起对方的反感才行。
