成龙曾给这部影片以很高的评价：“我最喜爱的电影既不是史泰龙的枪炮，也不是施瓦辛格的特技，而是充满温馨的《音乐之声》。因为在这部影片中，我所感到的是人世间那种最淳朴、最简单的友爱和挚爱之情，这部影片让我的全身心都得到放松。”每一次看《音乐之声》，它都带给观众不一样的欢乐、感动，让人的心灵得到净化。《音乐之声》讲述了热情活泼的修女玛丽亚到奥地利退役军官特拉普海军上校家当7个孩子的家庭教师的故事。上校的妻子几年前去世，上校心灰意冷，用管理水兵的方法来管教孩子。孩子们的生活就像钟摆一样循规蹈矩，毫无生气。玛丽亚来到上校家后，顺应孩子们天性活泼的特点，教他们唱歌跳舞，带他们去野餐、郊游、爬树和划船，使家中充满欢乐。她的热情、爱心赢得了孩子们的信任和喜爱，最终也赢得了上校的爱慕，后来成了孩子们的母亲。纳粹德国占领奥地利后，爱国的上校不愿意效力于纳粹海军，于是，在一次民谣节上，上校带领全家成功地逃出了魔掌，翻越群山奔向自由。

正如玛丽亚在电影序幕中所唱的：“群山因为音乐充满生气，唱了千年的歌，我的心中充满了音乐，要唱出每支歌，我心震得像鸟儿翅膀，由湖边飞上树，我心叹息像钟声飘扬，微笑像是小溪流过，夜晚歌唱像云雀祈祷，当我奔向山里心情悲伤，我听到昔日歌声，我心就会歌唱，因为音乐的响起，我要再度歌唱……”

纯真善良的玛丽亚用歌声打开了故事的序幕，从她的歌声中我们可以看出玛丽亚的博爱，而实际上也确实如此，玛丽亚对自然的热爱，对生活的热爱，对那群孩子的爱以及她对爱情的渴望都充分说明了这一点。电影中印象很深的一段场景是上校带着他的未婚妻——来自维也纳的男爵夫人回来时，忽然发现在自己不在家的这段时间，玛利亚竟然没有按照自己的嘱咐管教孩子，而是和孩子们打成一片，四处玩耍，甚至还用旧窗帘给孩子们做了游戏服。上校怒不可遏，在如何管教孩子的问题上与玛利亚发生了激烈的争执，最后当场解雇了玛利亚。就在这时，房间里传来了孩子们的歌声——孩子们正用玛利亚教他们的歌在欢迎男爵夫人的到来。自从上校的妻子，也就是孩子们的母亲去世后，家里就再也没有歌声了。当上校听到这曾经熟悉的歌声再次响起时，那刚刚还对玛利亚怒目而视的眼光，一下子转为听到歌声时的疑惑，再转为知道这竟是孩子们的歌声时的惊讶，再到当他快步走到客厅时亲眼看到孩子们唱歌时的温柔和慈祥。这一系列的变化，让观众看到这个男人作为一个父亲，隐藏在心底的对孩子们深深的爱。还有当他情不自禁与孩子们一起歌唱的时候，有一瞬间的目光充满了对过去的回忆，也让观众间接感受到他对逝去妻子的爱和妻子去世时他深埋在心底的巨大痛苦。而之后他向玛利亚道歉，并习惯性的以命令的语气让玛利亚留下，再而转到以谦和的语气请求

玛利亚留下时，那恳切而充满感激的目光，也让我们深切感受到这个男人那坦诚而真挚的心灵。

第二次演唱“雪绒花”，这是表现爱国情怀的高潮部分。此时的上校和玛利亚刚刚结婚度完蜜月，忽然接到柏林来电，命令上校参加纳粹的海军，并把他和全家置于严密监视之下。接受纳粹的安排，在上校眼里是绝不可能的事；而直接拒绝，他深爱的妻子和孩子便会受到伤害，于是上校决定带全家逃走。即将离开祖国的那个晚上，借着参加民谣节的机会，上校在奥地利同胞面前唱起了这首“雪绒花”，正如他所说的那样，“这是一首爱之歌，我知道你们会分享此爱，我祈求你们永远不会让它逝去。”唱到第二段，上校已经哽咽，无法继续，在玛利亚的带动下，尽管会场处在纳粹分子的监视下，全场奥地利观众还是和上校一起高声唱起了“雪绒花”——“Edelweiss，Edelweiss，bless my homeland forever ”。歌声荡气回肠——是的，大家会分享此爱，永远不会让它逝去。

玛利亚乐观开朗，充满爱心，让人印象深刻。当然正如《音乐之声》这个片名，也正是玛利亚把音乐带给了大家。可是这部戏真正让人动容的，是隐藏在音乐背后的那博大而深沉的爱。对子女的爱、对恋人的爱、对祖国的爱，在上校身上得到了集中体现。Captain的爱国，Maria的纯真，修道院长的睿智，以及贯穿了整个影片的音乐、画面和对白，统统让人的心灵得到提升和净化。但“上帝在此处关闭了一扇门，就会在别处打开一扇窗”，“修

道院的高墙不是用来逃避”假如你爱这个人，并不表示你爱天主少了”等对话尤其令人印象深刻。

《音乐之声》来自生活，高于生活。它以乐抒情，以乐动人，到处充满阳光气息与温馨浪漫，把抽象的音符、大自然的和谐美景和人文景观完美结合，体现出人与自然和谐融洽、相互依托的关系，鼓励人们乐观向上，追求纯洁美好，争取自由和享受生活，消除杂念，达到真善美的理想境界。
