I'm one of those people who's terrible at saying no.I take on too many projects at once, and spend too much of my time doing things I'd rather not be.I get stuff done, but it's not always the best I can do, or the best way I can spend my time.That's why my newest goal, both as a professional and a person, is to be a quitter.Being a quitter isn't being someone who gives up, who doesn't see important things through to the end.I aspire to be the opposite of those things, and think we all should.The quitter I want to be is someone who gets out when there's no value to be added, or when that value comes at the expense of something more important.I want to quit doing things that I'm asked to do, for no other reason than I'm asked to do it.I want to be able to quit something in mid-stream, because I realize there's nothing good coming from it.A friend of mine once told me that “I knew I was an adult when I could stop reading a book, even after getting 500 pages into it.” Odd though it sounds, we all tend to do this.We get involved in something, realize we don't want to be a part of it, but keep trucking through.We say “well, I've already invested so much time in this, I might as well stick it out.”

I propose the opposite: quit as often as possible, regardless of project status or time invested.If you're reading a book, and don't like it, stop reading.Cut your losses, realize that the smartest thing to do is stop before your losses grow even more, and quit.If you're working on a project at work that isn't going anywhere, but you've already invested tons of time on it, quit.Take the time gained by quitting the pointless project, and put it toward something of value.Instead of reading an entire book you hate, read 1/2 a bad one and 1/2 a good one.Isn't that a better use of your time?

If you're stuck doing something, and don't really want to do it anymore, step back for a second.Ask if you really have to do this, and what value is being produced from your doing it.Don't think about the time you've put into it, or how much it's taken over your life.If you don't want to do it, and don't have to do it, don't do it.By quitting these things, you'll free up time to do things that actually do create value, for yourself and for others.You'll have time to read all the great books out there, or at least a couple more.You'll be able to begin to put your time and effort into the things you'd actually like to do.Let's try it together: what are the things you're doing, that you're only doing because you've been doing them for so long? Quit.Don't let time spent dictate time you will spend.Let's learn how to say “no” at the beginning, or in the middle, and free up more of our time to do the things we'd like to be doing, and the things actually worth doing.Saying no is hard, and admitting a mistaken yes is even harder.But if we do both, we'll start to make sure that we're spending our time creating value, rather than aggravating our losses.Let's be quitters together.What do you think? 感恩我的父母，因为他们给予我宝贵的生命，哺育我们健康的成长。在那个寒冷的冬季，随着一声声震天动地的哭喊，一个新生命出现了，那就是——我，我感谢妈妈给了我多彩的生命，让我有机会去领略世界的风采，让我有机会看看那蓝天、白云、大地，让我有机会倾听鸟儿欢乐的歌声，小溪的潺潺流水声，享受这一切美好的事物。

爸爸属牛，就像牛一样憨厚能干。爸爸是家里的顶梁柱，肩上有我们难以想象的负担。

小时候，爸爸回家总会带点好东西给我，每天我都会不厌其烦的问妈妈：爸爸什么时候回来呢？然后跑到门口，蹲在门槛上等待那个熟悉的身影，其实不为别的，就是为了那个神奇的“小礼物”，爸爸回来了，就立刻迎上去，两只小手抓住他的衣襟，用渴望的眼神望着爸爸，等到他变戏法似的掏出一样好东西，才心满意足的拍拍屁股走人，有时候还会被爸爸的胡子扎几下......爸爸总喜欢每天晚上睡觉前用手托起我，看看他的宝贝女儿有没有长胖啊，吃好啊，就这样一直托到我十六岁，将我从一个无知的小丫头托到了老师眼中的优秀生，爸爸托起了我学习的意志，更将托起我崭新的明天！

母爱无声，母爱如玉。母爱是伟大的！世界上谁不拥有母亲的爱呢？在刮风下雨的时候，你在温暖的雨伞里，可曾想到那个在你身后，为你遮风挡雨的人。在夏日炎炎的时候，你在凉爽清风下安恬入睡，又可曾记得守在你身边，为你遮寒避暑的人。母亲的爱是默默无闻的，母亲的爱是柔滑如玉的，是纤细、无声的。

我爱我家

七（14）班 杨景淇

我有两个家，一个是我自己的家乡——华池，另一个则是大家共同的家——我们的祖国。在我的心中，这两个家是同等重要的，而我都深深地爱着她们。

中国，一个使千千万万的人都感到无比骄傲的字眼，她有着几千年的光辉历史，灿烂文化，是世界上的一颗“不夜明珠”。而我们，就是出生在这个令人骄傲的国度里。时代的进步掌握在我们的手里，祖国的未来交接在我们的手中，我们有义务去把她建设的更好。

虽然现在的我们还小，但也有义务去爱祖国，去为祖国的未来着想，去贡献一份微不足到的力量，好好学习，天天向上。想想将来的打算，想想自己人生的价值与意义，不辜负祖国、家乡、父母对我们寄语的厚望。

我们爱祖国，正如岳飞精忠报国一样。她是我们炎黄子孙的根，枝繁叶茂是因为她的功劳。有国就有家，我爱家乡更如爱祖国一般。

祖国大地有许多宜人美景，但我们始终都爱着自已的家乡，纵使走遍天下所有的地方，看尽人间所有的美景，我们也不会忘记家乡的味道，不会忘记家乡一山一水，不会忘记家乡的一鸟一石，这一切都是因为家乡是我们成长的摇篮，家乡是我们心中的一座大桥，家乡是连接着我们心中的绳索。

正因为这样，我们更要加倍地爱护我们的家乡，去好好学习，去放手拼搏，不仅为家乡，更为我们祖国的繁荣昌盛，因为我们都深情地爱着祖国，爱着家乡。

历史在前进，时代在发展，科技在进步。让我们一起携起手来，去共同创建我们美丽的祖国，美丽的家园，相信明天一定会更加辉煌灿烂。

第四篇：我爱我家

我爱我家

六十七平方米，两室一厅，并且是顶楼，室内的装修极为一般。在一般人看来，这并不是理想的居住场所。但是，我却认为，这是温馨舒适的港湾。因为，家中有他们，我倍感家的幸福。

“新的兜儿几百呀？买那么贵的有用吗？你看我的几十块钱，不是很好嘛？”婆婆的话一出口，就让人感到浑身不自在。因为，她是在批评你浪费，无时无刻不在监视着你的口袋。但是，当家里缺钱伸手向婆婆借时，却想到了婆婆的话，平时的节俭有多么重要啊！婆婆家与我家只一道之隔，每天下班第一件事，便是到婆婆家吃饭。婆婆做好饭，等着我们一个个下班回来。身体处于亚健康状态的她，总是一天到晚走遍梅城各个“免费理疗场馆”，而从不去医院看病，足见她的节俭了。但是，就这样一个节俭的婆婆，却为了医治我的腰疼病，而购买了一张2300元钱的磁疗仪器。前年，我得了“腰间盘突出”这一毛病，治好后，直到现在，一直未犯，这不能不归功于婆婆的功劳。当每晚我睡在舒适的磁疗仪上，我便想起了婆婆，是她让我感到了家的温暖。

“悦悦……快刷牙、洗脸、洗脚、洗完睡觉去。”“你周六、周日必须领孩子洗澡去!”听听，这是谁家的管家婆，这便是我的丈夫、我家的大管家、财务兼杂务部部长。每天衣食住行，没有他管不到的。有时候听的有些心烦了，便在心里说一句，不知是男人还是女人，真不嫌烦累。但是，赶上出远门，他却不在家，有时路上竟连一点吃的也没带，到站了，却也不能及时找到饭店。这时，才想起大管家的作用还真大呀！他平时与人很少说话，（当然，他说出的话总是令人心堵）只是，每天不能忘记与电脑游戏交流，就这一点，我很生气。所以，对他从来都是不理不睬。就是这样一个不会说话的人，却在我过生日时，从不忘记给我祝福，或发短信息、或买礼物。我是一个工作十分积极的

人，平日里，他看在眼里，记在心上，生日那天，他发给我一条信息，告诉我“不要太辛苦，这个家需要你”在这样特殊的日子里，我接到温馨的祝福，内心无比的激动。同时，我更感谢上天赐我一个关心我的人，是他让我感到了家的温馨幸福。

“妈妈，我要吃好吃的”“妈妈，我这一次要是不能考双百，怎么办呢？”这便是我的女儿——悦悦，她很喜欢吃小食品，当然，这是继承了我的优良传统。但是，悦悦聪明、好学，而且，多才多艺。学口才，口才棒;学弹琴，琴声悦耳;学书法，字美观；去歌厅唱歌，又会博得阵阵掌声。有时，我常常在心里默默的感谢上苍对我的宠爱，恩赐给我这样一个好女儿，是她让我感到了家的快乐、满足。

另外，家中还有一位从来都向着我说话的公公——丈夫的父亲，他一直以来就把我看成是自己的亲生女儿，对我的工作从来都是报以理解；对我的为人，从来都是报以尊重。所以，我对公公一向都是尊敬的。即使，当他赌钱输掉很多钱时，我也会说：“爸爸，你吃饭吧！是不是饿了？”

看看家中的摆设，多么简单；想想家中的成员，普通又平凡。可是，他们却谱写了家的幸福、快乐、舒适的乐章。我感谢上苍，是他老人家赐给我这些既普通又平凡的家庭成员。是他们让我倍感家庭的温暖，是他们令我在内心中更爱我家。

第五篇：我爱我家

我爱我“家”

有这样一个家，他们生活在城市的边缘，一个远离现代文明的地方，一个贫瘠得不能再贫瘠的小山村。一家三口居住在仅十余平方米的小屋子，小屋太破了，似乎一阵风就能把它吹走似的，每到雨天水就顺着屋梁往下渗，于是，脸盆和水就奏起交响乐。他是这个家唯一的希望，他知道，自己只有努力学习才能使这个家摆脱这种情况，于是他很努力，很努力地。每次气馁时，看到父亲举起锄头费力地耕耘那块为他赚来学费的田地时，他的胸中就又充满了斗志，嗯，努力，一定要走出大山！

终于，他不负众望，以第一名的好成绩考入了实验高中，本应该高兴的。可摆在眼前的大笔学费却成了全家的难题，看到父亲沉默着坐在门槛上不断地抽烟时，他想哭，他不想上学了，因为，父亲已山穷水尽了……

今年国庆，仍是这间屋子，仍是这家人，不同的是，到处都充溢着喜庆。母亲正在准备一桌好饭菜迎国庆，父亲正舒心的看儿子的试卷，而儿子，正在看书。原来，他申请了贫困补助，政府帮助他让他进了实验高中，并且，政府还将补助他们盖房子。

有这样一个小山村，它承载了岁月太多的风霜而疲惫不堪，越来越跟不上世界的脚步了，当所有的所有都在飞速前进时，它却只能无力的站在原地叹息。四面环山，挡住了人们的视线，也挡住了前进的步伐，他们只能世世代代守在这里，每天日出而作，日落而息。面朝黄土背朝天的耕耘着庄稼，没有生机，只有沉重，沉重，沉重。

国庆到了，又是一年了。咦！这是怎么了？人们不再像以前那样无动于衷的忙于庄稼，而是成群结队来到村委会，穿上了舞服，戴上了腰鼓，拿起了扇子，他们竟破天荒的为祖国六十二周年庆祝起来，真令人意想不到。

原来，国家去年投资在他们这里建了蔬菜大棚、水果大棚。他们的生活发生了改变，他们的人生出现了转折，他们都过上了好日子！

有这样一个国家，他曾经富丽堂皇，以其容纳百川的气魄，傲然屹立在世界的东方，承风雨而不倒，历千年而不衰。这里有万园之园——圆明园，这里有震撼世界的四大发明，这里更有一夫当关、万夫莫开的万里长城。这里的人们富足安静地生活着。

可是，有一天，一切都变了。他们不再以热情好客的态度对待外来的客人，而是自私的关闭了国门，像一只怜影莺一样拒绝外界，小心翼翼的保护着自己。于是，富丽堂皇变成了断壁残垣；于是，泱泱大国变成了被欺凌的对象；于是，第一次鸦片战争、八国联军侵华战争……接蹱而来。今天，你以为他是怎样的？千疮百孔？遍体鳞伤么？不，都不是。他早已从失败中吸取教训，毅然剪下代表着封建与落后的长辫，决然退下曾经陈旧的中山装，换上了崭新的服饰，再一次以其美幻绝伦的身姿展现在世人面前。看吧，在今年他的六十二岁生日上，金碧辉煌的天安门前，无数的人们在那里驻足，他们用舞动的五星红旗来表现自己的热血沸腾与激动，用放飞的白鸽来寄托自己对祖国未来的美好展望。再看那些士兵，陆、海、空三军，还有武警部队从我们眼前，雄纠纠气昂昂的走过，他们的步伐整齐而有力，他们的眼神坚定而有神，没有一丝的做作，没有一点僵硬，有的只是震撼、震撼、震撼！

这是一个从机械化向信息化跃进的新时代，曾经的“小米加步枪”早已被反坦克导弹、火箭炮等所替代。他们齐刷刷的屹立在那里，用轰轰的炮响来告诉世人：中国很强大、很强大！再看天上，歼击机、强击机等九个机种十五个机型的一百多架飞机，共同组成了一道气势如虹的风景，它们时而呼啸而过，时而盘旋低飞，用机尾五彩的烟雾勾勒出美丽的天空，更勾勒出中国美好的将来！

这些的这些，无一不昭示着它已不再是那个曾经弱小的国家，它已跟上世界的潮流，它再一次以其恢弘的气势稳稳屹立在世界神州之上！

一个家曾经很穷，现在变好了；一个村曾经很穷，现在变好了；一个国家曾经跌倒了，现在早已坚强地站起。都在变，都在变，都在往好处变！五星红旗下让我们为祖国祈福，愿祖国的未来更美好！

这时，我的耳边又响起了成龙唱得那首歌——《国家》：“家是最小国，国是千万家，我爱我的国，我爱我的家……”
