分以上。如想申请奖学金，TOEFL成绩应达到600分以上（满分为677分），GRE成绩应达到1850分（满分为2400分）。攻读硕士学位必须有GRE成绩，商科最好有GMAT成绩。英国、加拿大要求TOEFL成绩在550分以上。IELTS分数在6分以上（满分9分）。留学新加坡也要考TOEFL，报考新加坡国立大学或南洋理工大学的研究生，惟一的途径就是考TOEFL，并且成绩在580分以上。
5：提供大学成绩单（transcript）

10：体检表或健康证明（health form or certificate）
一般学校都要求申请人提供体验表。这种表格由学校提供，要申请人找医生填写并签字。有的要附上防疫注射记录。也有的学校不需要体检表，但要求健康证明书。
11：食宿申请表（application for accommodation）

哥伦比亚大学会有奖学金，但是同MIT、Stanford 不同，哥伦比亚对国际学生的奖学金的数目非常有限。如果学生不要求申请奖学金的话则比较容易被录取。哥伦比亚大学的奖学金基本上都是由校友捐赠的，一般情况下，奖学金的针对性会比较强，也有专门给国际学生的全奖。
学生的入学奖学金申请会先通过招生办，之后才会进入Financial Aid 部门。

一般来说，不同于研究生招生阶段，招生的话语权多掌握在教授手里，哥伦比亚大学本科生阶段，招生的决定权则更多地是落在负责招生的行政人员身上。同哥伦比亚大学一样，大多数常春藤(Ivy League)学校本科生的招生都是由专门的行政人员来完成，而不会太多涉及负责教学的老师或者教授。下面我们就来看看哥伦比亚大学本科是如何进行招生的吧。哥伦比亚大学本科招生第一步，区域内初选
首先，不同的招生办人员，按照生源的区域region单独进行第一轮筛选。由相同的招生办人员进行第一轮初选，筛选标准主要分三个类别，分别是：NO.1 Social，NO.2 Academic，NO.3 Intellectual。三个类别同等重要。
social方面主要是指领导力，加入各种社团、兴趣特长的情况。
academic主要是指SAT、TOFEL以及高中阶段各科成绩。当我问到中国高考成绩是否也作为他们录取的参考的时候，哥伦比亚大学本科生招生办副主任给予了否定。
Intellectual方面，主要看重的是学生的阅读能力，比如是否读过一些公认的、有影响力的好书，课外会读一些什么有趣的书，或者读过专业领域内哪些重要的书籍，是否了解专业领域内发生的重大事件以及当前专业发展的趋势等。重点看的就是你是否了解你想学的专业。用他的话说，intellectual方面可以衡量学生是否真的对该学科感兴趣，一旦这个学生真的对该学科感兴趣，他一定会自己去搜寻并试图了解更多该领域相关的研究或者新闻。哥伦比亚大学本科招生第二步，小组讨论
在进行完第一轮个人筛选后，负责不同区域招生的人员聚在一起，一般3-4人，进行小组讨论，比如陈述同意招收这个学生的原因，或者不录取的原因。小组讨论后，招生名单最终确定。
哥伦比亚大学本科招生第三步，发放录取
一般来说，他们会按照9%的录取率发放录取通知书，因为部分收到录取通知书的同学，会选择就读其他学校，这样一来，通常最终入学率为5%，这也是他们预估的理想数值。值得一提的是，当与他谈到很多高中毕业生，即便是美国本土高中毕业生未必真正知道自己想学什么，所以可能很难到达他们所期待的Intellectual的要求的时候，他的回答是：美国的大学很多，对于不了解自己喜好和兴趣的申请者，他们完全可以去其他学校，不一定要选择哥伦比亚大学。所以，了解自己的选择，陈述自己的理由在申请名校的时候显得尤为重要。而谈到花在每个学生申请材料上的时间的问题，他的问答是：因材料而异。而有一点是可以肯定的，那就是不管这个学生的材料开始表现得有多强或者多弱，作为专业的招生人员，他们还是会go over学生的所有网上申请材料。
当谈到提前提交申请材料是否会有录取上的优势?他的问答是：不会。一般招生分两种，一种属于rolling式招生，即没有截止日期，你可以随时申请;另一种属于有截止日期式招生。一般哥伦比亚大学本科生招生截止日期分为early decision(截止日期一般为11月)和regular decision(截止日期一般为1月份)，只要在截至时期前提交，都是同样的选择标准。就哥伦比亚大学本科招生人员来说，他们更喜欢在申请材料上看到学生能够更多地谈自己的兴趣，申请这个专业自身的理由，这样会给人更加真实、更加可信的感觉，而对于过于修饰，或者出现语法错误的申请，通常会给他们不太好的印象。总的来说，虽然哥伦比亚大学本科确实存在某些专业的申请相对于其他专业会相对容易些，但所有的哥伦比亚大学申请人都需要符合以上3大类的标准，如果不符合，也会出现个别
