不管你承认与否,中国已经成为名副其实的“世界工厂”。随着外商投资规模的进一步扩大,以及中国在政治、经济、文化等领域与世界的逐步接轨,能在外资企业找到一席之位不失为一个能发挥自己以及能获得十分吸引人的薪酬的机会。

而能否在芸芸求职者中脱颖而出,求职信和简历在公平的竞争中就成了一个非常重要的因素。无可置疑,完全英文书写的求职者获得面试的机会比其他竞争者往往高出许多。

下面,结合我的经验和其他人以及雇主们的经验和推荐,介绍一些常用而标准的英式写法。第一部分 求职信(Cover letter)

在今天,绝大部分雇主指出,他们是从来不会看没有求职信(Cover letter)的个人简历的。因此,求职信是必要的。但求职信不是对个人简历的简单复述,而是礼貌而鲜明的突出自己的目标和要求,促使阅读者有兴趣阅读你的个人简历和推荐信。

求职信的目的和好处在于:

1、可保证个人简历到达正确的阅读人的桌面。如果招聘广告上没有收信人的姓名,我推荐打电话询问将会处理求职申请的人的姓名(这显示你的诚意以及专业精神,给雇主深刻印象)。假如不能的话按照以下原则:小型企业—经理(Managing director),中型企业—部门负责人(Head of section/department),大型企业—全体职员或者人事部(Personnel or Human Resource Department)。

2、说服收信者阅读你的个人简历

3、清楚地表明你对具体哪一个职位感兴趣

4、表明为什么对该职位有兴趣,为什么你认为自己胜任该职位

5、提及一到两点在个人简历里面的内容,以及回应广告的要求

所以,求职信并不能保证你找到工作,但,做好这一点,它能给你带来面试的机会,或者至少令雇主打开你的个人简历。

那么,Cover letter要包括那些内容呢,至少有以下几点。

1、招聘广告中给出的收信人姓名,头衔和地址

2、你所感兴趣的职位以及你从何处得知招聘消息(或许朋友推荐)

3、用三到四个“项目符号”(如Word工具栏)列举出你为什么能胜任该职位的背景和特长,回应招聘广告的要求。

4、表明有兴趣获得一个面试的机会,讨论申请问题。

5、检查拼写和语法错误

6、千万不要提及薪酬问题,也不要提及雇主想要或者可能想要的但你又不能达到的技能或要求

7、除非注明要求手写,否则应用打字机或者文字处理软件打印。但个人签名一定要用手写(记住这一点不要忘记)

8、对应不同的申请应用不同的求职信,例如内容、侧重点和风格的不同等

9、注意,Cover letter应力求精简,除非有特殊情况,否则一律用一张纸完成下面举出一个实战例子:

撰写就职信需要注意以下几点要求:

第一、自我介绍、用人单位的真实意图以及写求职信的目的信的首段要抓住招聘经理的注意力。说明你为何寄履历表,你对公司有兴趣并想担任他们空缺的职位。可以通过暗示你与公司雇员的亲属关系来表达你对公司的兴趣。要说明你干的是同一行业,有着同样的工作兴趣,或者你一直通过搜集信息了解公司或者这个行业。叙述你 要求担任公司空缺时,要说得越详细越好,不要只说起工作职位,还应该谈谈这个职位的要求。

第二、说明自己的优势,以求职单位挂钩的经历和申请求职的理由。

信的第二部分要简短地叙述自己的才能,特别是这些才能将满足公司的需要。这部分你应强调你的才能和经验将会有益于公司的发展。这些经验是用人单位很关心的一个问题。还要写好你申请求职的理由,不要太直接的写收益多少,尽量写些让用人单位信服的话。

第三、制定计划、并注意就职信要言简意赅,一页就可以。信的结尾要表明你的下一步计

划。

告诉招聘者怎样才能与你联络,打电话或者发E-mail,语气肯定但要礼貌。

制作简历:

1、个人资料,包 括:姓名、年龄(出生年月)、性别、籍贯、民族、学历、学位、政治面貌、学校、专业、身高、毕业时间、联系方式等等。一般来说,本人基本情况 的介绍越详细越好,但也没有必要画蛇添足,一个内容要素用一两个关键词简明扼要地括说明一下就够了。

2、应聘职位,写清应聘的职位或是大概的方向。

3、资历(包括任职资格、技能、荣誉与成就、社会活动)

主要列出大学阶段的主修、辅修与选修课科目及成绩,要突出重点,有针对性。使你的学历、知识结构让用人单位感到与其招聘条件相吻合。突出大学阶段所担任的社会工作、职务,在各种实习机会当中担当的工作。介绍你所获得的证书和荣誉。介绍你的专长、兴趣、性格与你所所谋求的职业特点、要求相吻合。事实上,“本人的学习经历”、“本人的实践、工作经历”同样在映证个人的能力、性格,因此,前后一定要相互照应。

另外,要注意简历的内容不要过于啰嗦,要注意简历的表达技巧,也可以尝试用英文制作简历。

如何写求职信和简历现如今,面临严峻的就业压力,很多求职者都想尽各种办法试图在庞大的求职队伍中脱颖惹出,一份好的求职信和简历能够充分体现求职者的智慧和能力,更好地打动企业的芳心,获得一份理想的工作。首先我们来谈下如何写好简历,个人简历可以是表格的形式,也可以是其他形式。个人简历一般应包括以下几个方面的内容:(1)个人资料:姓名、性别、出生年月、家庭地址、政治面貌、婚姻状况,身体状况,兴趣、爱好、性格等等;

(2)学业有关内容:就读学校、所学专业、学位、外语及计算机掌握程度等等;

(3)本人经历:入学以来的简单经历,主要是担任社会工作或加入党团等方面的情况;

(4)所获荣誉;三好学生、优秀团员、优秀学生干部、专项奖学金等;

(5)本人特长:如计算机、外语、驾驶、文艺体育等。

.个人简历应该浓缩大学生活或研究生生活的精华部分,要写得简洁精练,切忌拖泥带水。

.在写简历时我们必须注意一些常常出现的问题,我总结有如下五点:

(1)首先要突出过去的成就。过去的成就是你能力的最有力的证据。详细把它们写出来,会有说服力。

(2)履历表切忌过长,应尽量浓缩在三页之内。最重要的是要有实质性的东西给用人单位看。

(3)履历表上的资料必须是客观而实在的,千万不要吹牛,因为谎话一定会被识破。要本着诚实的态度,有多少写多少。

(4)和写求职信一样,资料不要密密麻麻地堆在一起,项目与项目之间应有一定的空位相隔。

(5)不要写对申请职位无用的东西

其次,我们来谈下如何写好求职信,求职信也是交际的一种形式,它可以反映出一个人的专业水平,从用人单位的角度出发考虑问题是使求职信产生积极效果的重要方法。求职者应该采取换位思考的方法,通过分析用人单位提出的要求,了解他们的需要,然后有针对性地向他们提供自己的背景资料,表现出自己独到的智慧与才干,使他们从你的身上看到希望,并做出对你有利的决定。求职信的好坏会很大程度地影响履历表的作用。一份好的求职信能为你赢得一个面试机会,但一份不好的求职信则会使履历表形同虚设。求职信最重要的在于它与履历表起着不同作用,许多履历表中的具体内容不应在求职信中重复。例如,工作经历、学历或是个人目标。履历表告诉别人有关你个人、你的经历和你的技能。而求职信告诉别人“为什么你是这份工作的最佳人选。”

求职信没有正式的格式,但在写信时要记住一些基本的规则。信的左上角或者右上角要留出三行,用以填写家庭地址、国家、城市、邮政编码和日期。称呼的后面要用冒号而不要用逗号,写称呼时要用正式的语气。要用具体的称呼(例如不要写“给有关负责人”)。设法知道谁将收到你的信。如果有必要,打电话询问公司。如果你还是不能确定具体的名字,就称呼“招聘经理”、“人事部经理”,或者就称“经理”。每段之间必须空一行,没有必要首行缩进。你可以用表格和粗体线来组织求职信并强调其内容,使文章易读,但要慎用。结尾时应在姓名上方写上祝福的话,然后下面是印刷体的全名。在你的求职信中,名字与结尾之间一定要保留足够的空间。

根据求职的目的来布局谋篇,把重要的内容放在篇首,对相同或相似的内容进行归类组合,段与段之间按逻辑顺序衔接,从阅信人的角度出发组织内容。信件要具个人特色、亲切且能体现出专业水平,意思表达要直接、简洁,书写要清晰、简单明了,内容、语气、用词的选择和对希望的表达要积极,充分显示出你是一个乐观、有责任心和有创造力的人。

求职信的诸多不宜 不宜太长,一封求职信不能多于一页。不宜有文字上的错讹,切忌有错字、别字、病句及文理欠通顺的现象发生。不宜是履历的翻版,应与履历分开,自成一体。

写求职信要坚持实事求是的原则,用成就和事实代替华而不实的修饰语,恰如其分地介绍自己。要突出重点,针对某一单位的某一职位而求职,效果会更好。文字要顺畅,字迹要工整,求职信是用人单位对求职人的一次非正式的考核,用人单位可以通过信件了解求职者的语言修辞和文字表达能力,可以说求职信是用人单位对求职者取得第一印象的凭证。
