寓教于乐之Chant教学
【摘要】在小学英语教学中,教师采用生动活泼、轻松快乐、形式多样的教学方法进行教学,让学生身心放松,积极地投入到学习中去并能真切地感受到学习的快乐。Chant有着真实语言情景,节奏明快清晰,易于上口,深受小学生的喜爱,是提高小学英语教学效率的有效形式之一。运用Chant辅助小学英语课堂教学有着重要的意义,如果正确有效地使用,可以为我们的课堂增光添彩,使学生乐此不疲,提高学习效率。
【关键词】Chant教学小学英语兴趣
兴趣是小学生学习英语的动力之源。小学生天性好奇、好动、好胜,注意力不能持久,意志薄弱,很大程度上凭兴趣支配学习。所以Education must be fun(教育必须是有趣的),教师必须得创设轻松愉悦的课堂气氛,基于Chant富有动感,词句简单,内容生动,形式活泼,韵律优美,琅琅上口等特点,又因其充满童趣,所以在课堂当中穿插Chant教学是一条行之有效的途径。
一、Chant的概念、意义及其作用
英文字典里对于Chant的解释是: words or phrases that are repeated again and again by a group of people,从解释里我们可以发现其重要的一点就是不断的重复,而重复会使小学生感到熟悉,便于记忆。
《英语课程标准》提出:“关注学生的情感,营造宽松、民主、和谐的教学氛围”,认为“学生只有对自己、对英语及其文化、对英语学习有积极的情感,才能保持英语学习的动力并取得成绩”。另外,对于小学生来说,特别是中低年级的学生,好动、好奇、好胜,注意力不能够持久,在很大程度上都是凭兴趣在学习。著名教育家赞可夫说:“我们要努力使学习充满无拘无束的气氛,使儿童和教师在课堂上能够自由的呼吸。如果不能造就这样良好的教学气氛,那任何一种教学方法都不可能发挥作用。”所以小学英语教师能在课堂教学的各个环节利用学生的好奇心,合理、恰当地使用英语Chant教学,便能起到事半功倍的效果。
运用Chant教学除了能够培养学生学习兴趣,调动学生参与课堂积极性,同时它还能培养学生的创造性思维能力。如我在教授上海牛津版英语Module3 Unit1 The Tan family at the beach时,穿插了一个Chant:
Sail
Sail, sail, sail a boat, sail a boat in the sea
Sail, sail, sail a boat, sail a boat in the river
Sail, sail, sail a boat, sail a boat in the lake
把新授单词sail放入进去,结合词组,并提供几个场景进行操练,使学生易于上口,容易理解,便于记忆。那么在这首Chant基础上,我尝试让学生进行了Chant的编写,形式如下: Ride,,.Fly ,,.Collect ,,.给学生提供几个单词,模仿sail这个Chant进行编写,这样一个举措,一下子吸引了学生的注意力,调动了学生的积极性,使得每一个学生都积极参与这个创编活动,在这个活动过程中,培养了学生的兴趣,夯实了学生的基础,同时又丰富了学生的想象力,培养其创造性的思维能力。
二、Chant在小学英语教学中的运用
1.巧记英文字母之Chant教学
英语是小学较难的一门学科,原因是英语作为一种语言本身就比较抽象、枯燥,加之学生没有相应的语言环境,不免会产生陌生感。要使小学英语变得形象、具体、有趣,使学生乐学,必须顺其天性,开展各种各样的活动,其中渗透Chant教学不失为一种很好的方法。
对于刚接触英语的小学生来说,一切都是陌生的,当然他们对于周围的一切又充满好奇,我们老师此时必须利用自己的智慧,切忌上课堂堂一个样,节节一个调。如在字母教学中,为了让每一位学生掌握26个字母,为以后的学习打下基础,我们可以把枯燥的读写字母教学变为学生感兴趣的chant教学。如在PEP Primary English 教材中就可以把字母和学生感兴趣的食物结合在一起:

Let me share with you.在老师的指导下,让学生一起击掌增强节奏感,使学生读起来琅琅上口,看起来形象生动,便于记忆。学生对于这样的形式乐此不疲,充满活力。另一方面就是可以让学生学习正确的英语发音,在这个过程中增强自己的语感。
2.巧记单词和短语之Chant教学
如何使学生在小学阶段掌握大纲要求的词汇和一定数量的习惯用语及固定搭配,并正确地理解其在语段或语篇中的意思,在小学英语教学中显得十分重要。英语词汇看起来是那样的枯燥乏味,不少学生感到记忆起来困难,掌握其用法就更加困难。我们老师可以改变节奏,使之韵律化,使用Chant可以起到很好的辅助作用。如我在上海牛津版英语3A Module3Unit1My school这节课时涉及到了classroom, hall, office, library, toilet, playground这几个单词,如果还是利用单词卡片去操练的话,学生很定会对此毫无兴趣,所以我就尝试用Chant来进行操练,挖掘这样的素材,加入这样几个单词,编成如下这首Chant:
Classroom, classroom, it’s the classroom
Hall , hall, it’s the hall
Office, office, it’s the office
Library, library, it’s the library
Toilet, toilet, it’s the toilet
Playground, playground, it’s the playground
再此基础上我又给这首Chant配上音乐,学生注意力一下就转移到了课堂上,节奏感很强,满足学生好动好奇心理,学生很感兴趣。
3.巧记日常用语之Chant教学
“学习的对象不应该是孤立的发音、单词、语法,而应该是句子。因为人与人交往的最基本单位是句子,在句子中掌握的单词是有生命力的单词。”这是Crazy English创始人李阳在一次报告当中所提到的。这就好像词汇是建造房子的钻头,但光有钻头还建不成房子。孤立的单词在特定的情况下是可以表达相应的意思,但很多情况下会引起歧义。把单词放入句中,能够帮助学生正确理解单词的含义,还有利于培养他们的语感。如我在上海牛津版英语3B Module2 Unit1 Animals I like这节课,其主要内容就是动物的单词和句型I like…,于是我结合单词和句型编成了这样一首Chant:
Cats, rabbits,They are my pets.Birds, lizards,They are my friends.Do you like pets?
Do you like friends?
I like pets!
They are my friends.这样既把动物的单词和句型糅合在一起,一是可以通过这首Chant强调动物是我们的朋友,二是能够进行核心动物单词的替换。这样,学生记忆的单位是句子,有整体感,有助于体会英语的语流,长期训练可以培养学生造句的能力,提高说话的能力。
4.巧妙导入之Chant教学
课堂导入是课堂教学中的重要环节,是承上启下、温故知新的必然途径。在课堂教学中,自然、新颖、富有趣味的导入,最能够吸引学生的注意力,使学生自然地投入到新课学习的氛围之中,激起他们活跃的思维,提高积极参与语言交流的热情,实现新旧知识的自然过渡,优化学习效果。如我在教授Oxford English 3A Shanghai Edition Module3Unit3Parks and playgrounds这个单元中,有一个课时涉及到颜色,但在导入新课这块,我就想到自己创设一个robot,并把这个robot作为一个线索,贯穿课堂的始终,结合上节课形状组合成一个robot,编成了如下Chant:
One, two, I can do
Three, four, I can draw
Five, six, I can sing
Seven, eight, I can chant
Shape, shape, what shape
Star, star, hands star Square , square, mouth square Circle, circle, eyes circle

通过这首Chant既复习了形状的单词,又复习了句型What shape is it?全班同学看到这个robot非常兴奋,参与热情极高,然后再Presentation呈现这个环节中利用学生感兴趣的robot,把这个robot的肢体涂成各种颜色,自然进入新知识Colors的学习阶段。最
为关键的是通过这样的导入牢牢吸引学生的眼球,赢得学生高度的注意力和高涨的学习热情,让课堂教学踏出成功的第一步。
用Chant来辅助英语新知识的导入和呈现能使学生在情景中理解语言知识,符合小学生学习语言的心理和年龄特点。当然,英语Chant还可以用在小学英语课堂教学的操练环节,培养小学生的英语听说读写技能。教无定法,只要教师能创造性地使用集趣味性和启发性的Chant,经过适当、精心的调整和设计,Chant完全可以成为一个多元的教学方式。它们既可以积极地调动课堂气氛,又可以创建轻松的学习环境供学生进行语言交际。
在小学英语课堂上,sing a song, say a rhyme, play games等等这些都是学生喜闻乐见的形式,而其中的Chant,给其配上音乐,能使小学生对英语的重音、节奏、句子的结构等加强掌握与理解,如善于辨别英语的发音,掌握其重音、节奏、语句、语调等,因为说唱Chant时要求吐字清楚,这对培养小学生正确发音有很大的帮助。Chant的学习除了能帮助小学生学习英语语音和节奏,也可以学习、巩固语法与词汇,而最重要的是能提高英语学习的兴趣。让学生在欣赏中学习,在学习中体会,在体会中创造,是一种成功的、行之有效的教学方法,由此获得的知识和情感,将给孩子未来的英语学习奠定基础。

龙山小学英语说、唱比赛活动方案

一、活动目的:
1、为了进一步调动学校学生学习英语的兴趣,增强学生跨文化交际的能力,展示学校英语教学成果并推动英语教学的发展,给学校学生提供一个充分展示自我的舞台,学校于2010年12月29日举行英语口语能力暨龙山小学英语说唱比赛活动。
2、营造良好的英语学习氛围,丰富学生的校园生活,让学生在学、说、唱、表演中提高英语听说能力,使学生体验到英语学习的快乐与成功的喜悦。
二、活动领导组:

组 员: 全体英语教师
三、活动要求
1、英语儿歌或歌曲表演时间为3分钟---5分钟。
2、三至六年级学生各班挑选一名或多名学生参加,英语教师根据本班情况自己选拔优秀学生参赛。
3、各参赛节目自备音乐或多媒体。
4、表演当天由英语任课教师带领自己所教班级准时参加。
5、用现场表演说、唱的形式进行比赛,表演形式不限,学生在比赛时可以利用多媒体播放视频,学生跟唱,考查学生英语口语表达能力及模仿能力。
6、每班必须出一个节目
四、评分标准
本次比赛按照100分制来评比。
1、选择的chant、儿歌或歌曲内容健康,难易度适中。(20分)
2、学生英语发音清晰、准确。(30分)
3、学生精神饱满,仪态大方,服装有特色。(20分)
4、学生表演有新意,整体效果好,富有感染力。(20分)
5、发挥现代化技术手段作用。(10分)评分最后结果以100分制进行计算。自己所教班级不打分,最后算出平均分,以年级组为单位按照成绩分别评出一、二等奖,对学生及教师进行一定的奖励。

1、活动时间:定于12月29日下午2:00---4:20。(如有特殊情况另行通知)

七、比赛规则及要求: 1、12月29日第一节课从一号开始一次参赛,二三号在门外候场候场,依次类推。
2、李冠男负责节目之间的衔接。3 张秋云负责照相。
4、所有评委、相关人员带领好学生必须在比赛当天2:00前到规定时间到达比赛场地,不允许迟到请假,自行调课,写好调课单,注意学生安全。
八、竞赛评奖方法:
(1)学生个人奖:每个年级按照1:2的比例评出一、二等奖。学校颁发奖品对一等奖的学生颁发奖品。
(2)团体奖:每个年级按照评1:2的比例评选出优胜班集体。
(3)教师个人奖:根据教师所教班级参赛学生的平均分,每个年级按1:1评出一、二等奖,学校颁发奖品。
九、其他事项
1、英语教师通知参赛学生参赛当天先向班主任及任课教师请好假,并于当天2:00准时进场坐在指定位置。
2、座位:三年级按班级依次坐在北排,四年级依次坐在南排。五六年级依次坐在中排,从北边上场,提前两个节目外出候场,等节目演完后,从南边下场,并坐在原来位置观看节目,等所有节目完成后方可离场。
3、评委在节目完成后不能离场,参与平均分计算。
4、抓阄:李冠男老师提前准备好抓阄的纸条,周四开教研会前给每个英语教师通知必须到齐,第一项先抓阄。并写下参赛顺序。
5、每个节目完成后负责收打分表并钉齐。

一般现在时
“是”有几变要记清,“am、is、are”共三种。“do型”“单三”加s(es),其它一律用原形。还有have和has,人称不可胡乱用。表“有”还有there be,be要随着主语定。现在经常反复事,主语能力或特征。
现在进行时 进行时,好记忆,be加“动词ing”。be变疑问,be提前,be否定be后not添。be的形式如何变,跟随主语及时换。
一般过去时
一般过去时,实在好记忆。动词,要变化,请你要记清。“am、is”变was,“are”却成了were。实意动词也变化,常在词尾加ed。特殊变化也很多,定要牢记脑海中。一般将来时

要是你们活动的地方稍大一点,可以不用手指来示意这些动作了。比如你和宝宝在房间里一边唱一边表演走路、蹦跳、奔跑、停止等动作,up的时候就把双手高高举到空中,down的时候蹲下来,双手触摸地面。
◆洪恩节拍英语:歌曲《One little flower》
One little flower(伸出一个食指做“1”状,然后两个手腕并在一起放在下巴下面,做“花朵”状)
One little bee(两个手臂放在身体两侧,手掌快速扇动做蜜蜂飞)

这是洪恩节拍英语里一个数字歌谣,洪恩节拍英语的特色就是把歌谣跟身体动作协调地结合起来,让孩子在手舞足蹈中快乐地学习英语。

将clap your hands改成stomp your feet(跺脚)成一段,改成shout “hurray”(双手举起来做欢呼状),再改成do all three(把拍手、跺脚、欢呼连起来做一遍)。这首歌曲对节奏感要求比较强,尤其要等到唱完clap your hands才能拍手,很好地训练了孩子的音乐节奏感,以及眼睛和手的协调,更促进了孩子的社交互动力。唱这首歌的时候可以把全家人甚至周围
