Should We Help Strangers？
Good afternoon,boys and girls.I am glad to stand here and share some of my opinions towards “Should We Help Strangers？”
We used to appreciate those who like to help strangers.But nowadays people tend to be very cautious of strangers,because they are afraid that helping others can sometimes bring them trouble.It is the mind that causes some tragedies.A case in that point is XYY.She is a just 2-year-old girl and was rolled by 2cars.However,At that moment,18 passengers passed without any help and finally she was rescued by a cleaner.Unfortunately,she couldn't be cured and died.After investigating,all the passengers remarked that they were afraid of being involved into trouble.It is so pity to hear that.So,I can not help asking whether we should help the strangers.In my opinion,although helping others may sometimes bring us trouble or even put us in danger,we should also protect ourselves and offer our help in an appropriate way when we are helping others.For example,to help someone who was robbed,calling the police is a much wiser way than chasing the robbers alone;to help the injured,you can take photos or find other evidences so that you will never be the scapegoat.In short ,we should try our best to help others in a reasonable way.I advocate that we should try to help others, no matter they are strangers or not.First,helping others is a virtue,and it will make our society more
harmonious.Just imagine what a terrible world it would be if everyone was coldhearted!Second,to some extent,helping others is helping oneself.We may come across some trouble and need others’ help some day.If everyone turns a blind eye to our trouble and turns a deaf ear to our appeal for aid just because we are strangers to them,what shall we do at that time？Therefore,we should be glad to help others.Thanks for your listening and wish you have a great time all day.

一、思想上。在这段时间来，我再一次认真系统的学习了新党章、“三个代表”重要思想和科学发展观；深刻领会“十八大”会议精神，并充分认识到它们是改造客观世界，夺取社会主义现代化建设事业胜利果实的行动指南。通过这一系列的学习，我不断提高自己的政治思想水平，更加坚定了加入中国共产党的信念，并且懂得了理论上的成熟是政治上成熟的基础，政治上的清醒来源于稳固的理论基石。只有坚定了共产主义信念，牢记全心全意为人民服务的宗旨，才能在这个风云变幻的国际环境中，在深化改革、扩大开放、大力发展市场经济的全新形势下，始终坚持党的基本路线不动摇，永远保持一个党员应有的纯洁性和先进性。
二、工作上。作为一名预备党员，我时刻都严格要求自己，努力工作，不等不靠，在工作中我严格以党员的标准来要求自己，牢记入党誓词，克服并纠正自身存在的问题，工作中大胆负责，遇到困难挺身而出。牢记党对我的培养和教育，吃苦在前，享受在后，能够脚踏实地任劳任怨的工作，并能够根据实际情况合理做好前后保障工作，为我系的工作尽职尽责！另外在做好本职工作的同时能够虚心学习其它各相关专业，力求做到一专多能，以更好地为公司服务。
三、生活中。我认为：为工作生活服务不仅仅可以体现在大事上，更多的是体现在平常的一些细节上，平时不能不屑于做小事而在等做大事，人有云：一屋不扫何以扫天下？因此要从小事做起，从身边做起。日常的生活中，我一直都以一个党员的标准严格要求自己，遵守国家法律法规，遵守社会公德，发挥党员的模范带头作用，积极团结同事，热心助人，主动帮助其他同事做一些力所能及的事。作为在党的关心和培养下成长起来的消防员，单有一腔热血和为人民服务的热情是远远不够的，还需要有坚实的科学文化知识作为基础，因此，我积极的利用业余时间学习，以求不断的充实自己，加深理论文化知识，从而更好的为广大职工服务。
在今后的日子里，我将不断加强理论知识的学习，用科学的思想武装自己，对工作加倍认真负责，进一步加强党员先锋模范的带头作用，努力向先进党员同志看齐，不断完善自己，注重日常生活作风的养成，自觉做到在政治上、思想上、行动上与党中央保持高度一致。相信只要我坚持要求进步，不懈学习，我一定能够得到党组织的认可。请党组织考验我!

It is a great honor and pleasure to be here on this beautiful Saturday morning to share with you my sentiments about life and passion for the English language.About a year and a half ago, I took part in my very first English Speech Contest.When I stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me, I could hardly speak.I stood there, embarrassed and helpless, struggling in vain for the right thing to say.My fears had paralyzed me.While my passion for English has never changed, I lost my courage to speak in public.When my professor again encouraged me to take part in this Competition, I said ―no.‖ I couldn’t endure yet another painful experience.He looked me straight in the eye and said something that pierced my heart.I will never forget his words.―Look,‖ he said, ―We all have our fears, and you have yours.You could twist your ankle in a basketball game, but then be afraid to ever play again.Running away can never dispel your fears, but action will.A winner is not one who never fails，but one who never quits.‖
I spent a whole day with his words twisting and turning in my mind.Then I made the bravest and wisest decision of my life: I would face my fears – and take part in the competition!
As it turned out, my dear old professor was right.Now, here I am, once again standing before a microphone.My heart is beating fast, and my mouth is dry, but most importantly, I have faced my fears--and that makes all the difference!

老教授是对的。我发挥出了自己的水平，一路杀进了全国总决赛。此时此刻，当我再一次站在了麦克风前，仍然心跳不止，但更重要的是，我终于能够勇敢地面对我的恐惧了，而这已足够了。

在四月中旬初赛：进行海选，请一些英语老师当评委，选出20至30人进入决赛，晋级同学可接受专业老师的指导以便好的在决赛中发挥。
五月份决赛：全校学生都可以观看，具体过程如下： 1）主持人介绍评委嘉宾，致欢迎词
2）主持人引言，对这次活动内容做简短介绍，宣布比赛开始 3）赛队员按照抽好的编号依次进行演讲。（共两场：一场是自由演讲，一场是命题演讲）（每位选手演讲控制在4分钟以内）
4)比赛中途由嘉宾演唱英文或外文歌曲，进行一次现场游戏互动 5）请特邀嘉宾++致辞
6）评委总结，颁发奖品及证书 7）主持人宣布比赛结束
8）获奖选手，评委，嘉宾，主持人拍照留恋 评分规则：1)发音标准，自然流畅。2）内容健康，主题鲜明 3）仪态举止大方得体 4）思维敏捷 5）装束得体 【活动风险评估】
1、举办时间内发生了不可抗力的事件不得已可终止；
2、组委会的组织水平或由于工作人员疏忽导致比赛状况等原因考虑应急方案。

同其它促销活动一样，对外宣传活动，不仅要考虑其效果，而且要核算其成本，力求少花钱、多办事、高效果。一般来讲，本活动所需的费用支出，包括以

【2】、大赛分为自我介绍，演讲比赛，才艺展示三个环节。依据评委打分计
算出成绩，最后颁发一等奖、二等奖、三等奖和参与奖。

2、观众到指定区域就坐，并注意现场纪律。活动过程中，要保持安静，认真听演讲。
