An Education
--The life you want, there’s no shortcut.Jenny learned how to make a right choice from the relationship with David. She knew that it was possible for her to meet a man just like David who was handsome, well-dress, well-spoken, gentle and very polite, but she will never accept this kind of man.She would date with a kind, decent, straightforward boy at her own age and live a plain life, and she would never pursue an unreal life. The ‘Education’ David had given her made she knew the life she exactly wanted, it was not eating at expensive restaurants, living in luxury hotels, having some foreign travel or listening classical music with a guy who knew nothing about it but being a normal girl just like anyone else. From Jenny’s experience we knew that when a man seems too good to be true, he probably isn’t—good, or true.I do believe that everyone of us must have made some mistakes when we are growing up, but it doesn’t matter much as long as we can learn from it or during it, even sometimes it will break our heart and make us suffer a lot. When Jenny found David have cheated her and ruined her life, she cried a lot, but she didn’t lose hope and she managed to seize the last chance of going to Oxford. In my opinion, the experience with David has helped her a lot at the year she restarted her study, it is this experience that made her more aware of there is no shortcut to the life she wants. It also warns all of us that don’t hinged your hope on meeting a rich, handsome man who will give you the life you want, it will never happened. What you need to do is study hard, so that you can provide yourself the life you want.Do remember that there is no shortcut to the life you want.

第三篇:A pretty girl(对成长教育的影评)
A pretty girl

Every girl has a dream to be gorgeous princess, and they regard the superficial beauty as the symbol ofhonor like jenny.Because of the influence of her parents, education is a method or a tool to enjoy luxury life.Jenny is a decent and excellent girl who had good taste and rich soul food.David is a just thief and bad guy who make money without decent way. However, David pretended that he was a rich gentleman who hadthe same taste in the field of art.I think that is why he fancied Jenny because she had what he didn't have. This movie is kind of crude, owing to the reasonable process of a mistake which a 16-year-old innocent girl had made. The plot won the audiences' satisfaction because thereis real phenomenon in our social life now.It is a kind of ironic way to show the creator's disappointing feeling to the distortion of education. There are many reasons of the problem rising.First of all, people haven’t gotten away from the single material world and entered the inspirational world to enjoy the pleasure which the art bring us.Like Jenny's father, all the instrument, language learning, book reading wouldn't bring anything but a chance to marry a decent guy with powerful background and a lot of property.Besides, there aren't right guide for the children how to be a real pretty girl. All the fairy stories about a princess exaggerate the superficialbeauty and ignore what is reflected in a girl's soul.It seems like a girl's best result for a girl.Jenny used to laugh at her Latin language teacher. She said: “You are clever and you are pretty, but you just worked in pony lessens and do housework." Obviously, she didn't find whatthe 'pretty' really mean.It can not to be acted but to be reflected.Miss Stubbs refused Jenny's perfume, and she regarded the acceptation asa kind of betray. She is a successful woman in the movie who had gained the key of education. In the end of the movie, Jenny went toher house to get help. There were paintings, postcards, piano, letters. The house is not very big and luxury, but there are full of value ofsoul.Jenny’s parents made a bad influence on her,but her teacher play a rolemodeland good guide for Jenny. Finally, education located an embarrassing place which is chased by the public but has lost its meaning in that period. It is an inevitable procedure between the economy recovery and cultural boom.I am very happy that Jenny found the real meaning of the education. She gave the ‘pretty’ a new definition. It is wide-eyed, fresh and artless.
