我的家乡在内蒙古自治区，大家习惯于简称为内蒙古。内蒙古在战国时属赵、燕等国地，后为我国北方少数民族匈奴、东胡地，宋朝时属辽、西夏，清朝时为内蒙古地区，1928年分为察哈尔省和绥远省，1947年成立内蒙古自治区，首府呼和浩特，是我国建立最早的自治区。目前内蒙古有49个民族，主要以蒙古族和汉族为主，此外还有朝鲜、回、满、达斡尔、鄂温克、鄂伦春等民族。
内蒙古是“一代天骄”成吉思汗的故乡，境内有不少名胜古迹，如坐落在鄂尔多斯草原中部伊金霍洛旗甘德利草原上的成吉思汗陵、象征民族团结的昭君墓、素有“小布达拉宫”美誉的五当召、席力图召等。
但内蒙古最吸引人的还属草原和沙漠。沙漠主要分布在西部地区，比较著名的有巴丹吉林沙漠、腾格里沙漠、库布齐沙漠的响沙湾等。而以蒙古族为主体的草原民族风情则增添了秀美、淳朴、自然的神韵。内蒙古东部的呼伦贝尔大草原，中部的锡林郭勒草原、希拉穆仁草原都是感受草原风光的好去处。在零星散落的蒙古包映衬下，天空纯净明亮、草地辽阔壮丽、空气清新、牛羊成群，对久居都市的人来说，这一切都是那么遥远而亲切。
呼伦贝尔草原是草原风光最绚丽的地方，拥有一亿多亩草场，生长着碱草、针茅、冰草等120多种营养丰富的牧草，两亿多亩森林里植物品种多达1300余种，草原上还有500多个湖泊，3000多条河流。辽阔无边的大草原就像是一块天工织就的绿色巨毯，步行其上，那种柔软而富于弹性的感觉非常美妙，人们定会为那“千里草原铺翡翠”的景象而惊叹。而绿草与蓝天相接处，牛羊相互追逐，牧人举鞭歌唱。每逢盛夏，草原上鸟语花香、空气清新，星星点点的蒙古包上升起缕缕炊烟，微风吹来，牧草飘动，处处都是“风吹草低见牛羊”的景致，它被誉为世界上最美、最大、最没有污染的几大草原之一，真是当之无愧。
我的家乡地大物博，物产丰盈。全自治区境内生长着经济价值较高的野生植物660多种，药用植物500多种，是中国中草药生产的基地之一。草原上的鸟兽资源很丰富，鸟类以俗称“飞龙”的榛(zhēn)鸡最为著名，它的肉味鲜美，封建时代是御膳(shàn)珍品；兽类中的紫貂，是毛皮兽的佼佼者，貂皮被称为东北三宝之一。鄂尔多斯的山羊绒，被誉为纤维宝石。还有炒米、奶茶、黄河鲤鱼、河套蜜瓜、中华麦饭石、珍稀名贵的巴林彩石等，都是内蒙古著名的特产。其中颜色鲜艳、色彩美丽的巴林彩石，因其色泽柔和、质地细腻，与福建寿山石、浙江青田石、昌化鸡血石并称为中国四大名石，深受雕刻艺人和金石爱好者的垂青。
来到我的家乡内蒙古一定要吃炒米、喝奶茶，不仅可以体验一下牧人的特色食品，也能增加营养。奶茶是蒙古族牧民日常生活中不可缺少的饮料。奶茶需要细细品尝，才能够体会到味道之美，地道可口的蒙古奶茶应当是茶和奶的比例相当，既有茶的清香，又有奶的甘酥。喝奶茶时可以加少许食盐，也可把盐碟放在桌上，喜欢喝盐味的就加盐，不喜欢盐味的就不加盐。喝奶茶时泡着吃些炒米、黄油、奶豆腐和手把肉，既能温暖肚腹，抵御寒冷的侵袭，又能够帮助消化肉食，还能补充维生素。所以在牧区有一句俗话说：“宁可一日无食，不可一日无茶”。
这，就是我的家乡—内蒙古，物产丰饶，具有民族特色，我为她感到骄傲。

一．比赛主题：enjoy speaking, enjoy english!二．指导思想 枫叶英语要求学生能熟练运用英语，像学习母语一样去学习英语。英语演讲比赛是一个展示语言运用能力和演讲风采的好机会。每年的枫叶英语演讲比赛是枫叶国际学校的品牌活动。
三.比赛目的此次活动旨在激发学生学习英语的热情，激励学生锻炼英语听说能力，充分调动学生学习英语的积极性，营造学习英语的良好氛围。同时让选手之间同台竞技，最终达到学习、竞赛、交友的目的。让学生明白演讲需要注意的事项：体态语、演讲内容、练习方法和演讲心理,引导学生注重日常的积累和内容的构思,以及演讲稿完成后师生间的相互评价、修改和反思。培养学生合作交流、自主学习等能力；并且有效地提高学生的演讲技能和英语综合水平；培养创新精神及英语思维能力，突显特色，张扬个性。

十二．比赛规则： 1.初赛
各年级各班学生利用中英文阅读时间由班主任和英语教师在班级内组织比赛。通过赛前抽签将班级内同学按抽签的号码顺序在讲台按决赛要求轮流进行英语演讲。由英语老师给出评价，最终每班根据决赛规定名额选出参加决赛的同学。2.决赛
6月9日14:30，选手在教学楼二楼英语办公室找裴海峰老师抽签决定比赛顺序。
决赛15名选手将在规定时间抽签决定比赛顺序参加比赛。首先为3分钟定题脱稿演讲；然后回答评委提出的问题，时间为一分钟。（记时员将会举牌计时，举黄牌为时间还有10秒，红牌为时间到。如出现成绩并列，评委将提出问题，选手将回答问题，根据问答的评分标准最终评出晋级者）
