第十四届“21世纪·联想杯”全国英语演讲比赛总决赛4月10日在上海圆满落幕。

总决赛中,60名来自中国大陆和港澳台地区的选手,分别围绕“From College to Career: Coping with Job-hunting Pressure in the Economic Slowdown(面对“经济危机”下的大学生就业问题)”和“Our Changing Way of Living with the Times: Initiative vs.Convenience(从时代的发展看人类生活方式的改变:主动性和便利性)”这两个主题发表了演讲。最终,来自清华大学的金璐,辽宁大学的苏宁馨,北京语言大学的陈艺分获冠、亚、季军。

But the moment I desperately struggled to remember grandmother’s face, the telepathy between her and me had shut down forever.With the help of modern technology, I killed our telepathy.This shall never happen again!The “tele”s are great inventions.But “telepathy”

gives them the warmth of a human face.Let’s harness the power of television to develop our kid’s telepathy with nature„ so they can read the secret language of flowers.Let’s make the telephone lines preserve our telepathy with each other, so we can connect in a warm and feeling way.Let technology keep our “telepathy” ALIVE!

If I was given the chance to make my magic wish now, I wish we could go back in time and live three days without advanced technology, I wonder what we will do in these three days, and here is what I imagined:

On the first day, people would be so uncomfortable with the new situation that they would probably be confused and just don’t know what to do.The world would just be in a mess for the whole day..And on the second day, as life goes on, people would have to find alternative ways to deal with their daily rituals: students will have to go to libraries for information they want instead of searching on Google;boys will have to express their affection to girls in person instead of sending an annoying message;and young people today could have the chance to experience the childhood of their parents.On this particular day, we can pick up all we have lost in the modern world.And there comes the third day, after the previous two days, we gradually come to realize that we should have pay more effort to our studies and work as we actually have so much creativity and potential when we work on our own;that we should have spent more time with a friend, a parent or a child as we do love them, but we don’t really understand them due to the lack of communication and that we shouldn’t have been so dependent on modern technology as they are not invented to confine us, but to inspire us.The last day will be spent in sparks of new ideas and sweet moments with our loved ones.苏宁馨同学的稿子最大的亮点在于她对于现代人在没有现代科技下生活三天的情景。这三天,从“a mess for the whole day”,到“pick up all we lost in the modern world”,最后到“sparks of new ideas and sweet moment with our loved ones”,层层递进,反思现代人对科技的过分依赖,而后鼓励人们重拾创造力和人际交往能力。

When I was a kid, milk wasn’t for sale everywhere.For the families who need it, they depended on the milkmen to take it from the local dairy farms to their houses.In our neighborhood, there was such a milkman, whose arrival was much anticipated by the children and always brought us laughter and joy.He knew the name of every kid and could easily see through our tricks.If we didn’t behave, he would side with our parents and threaten to rob us of the nutritious drink.The entire neighborhood was acquainted with him;saw him as a member of the community just like the many residents or street vendors.There was a bond between all of us for it was not only the commodities that been transacted, but also a sense of caring and dependability.And that small box fixed onto our door, other than being a drop-off point for milk;it was a communication junction between the people as we took the initiative to reach out to others.Fast forward to today, milk is ubiquitous with no dedicated delivery system.But the convenience level of our live has gone up a notch.Almost everything is for sale online, which spares us all the travelling and talking.With a few ready clicks, shopping is done.The rest is left for those speed delivery companies.Usually it’s a grumpy mailman, who reaches us through cell phone, urging everyone to pick up their parcels as soon as possible.And the minute the receipt is signed, we rush back to unpack while the courier dashes to the next destination.There is barely a conversation carried out, nor do we feel the need to talk to such a stranger, who changes from time to time frequently.It seems that people are always in a hurry now, though we have more conveniences, still we run short of time to stop and stare, to speak and share.陈艺同学的稿子最大的亮点是对比和取典型的运用。作者对比“old-timer”和“new-timer”生活中两个极富代表性的形象:Milkman和Mailman.Milkman代表的是一种过去人与人之间固定、频繁、亲密的交流方式,而Mailman则代表人们在“快餐生活”时代过分追求高效导致的冷漠、疏远的人际关系。

第三篇:“世纪金榜杯”青春文学征文启动

由山东省委宣传部、山东省教育厅、山东省作家协会联合举办,山东文学、时代文学、大众日报、齐鲁晚报、大众网、泰山出版社承办的“世纪金榜杯”青春文学征文活动正式启动。征文体裁包括小说、诗歌、散文、报告文学,征集时间为2012年5月4日至10月31日。活动将向获奖作者颁发奖金和获奖证书。

此次征文活动旨在引导文学爱好者树立青春文学乐观、阳光的心态和积极向上的主流价值观念与文学观念。参加征文的作品必须是山东省在校高中、大学学生(包括研究生与应届毕业生)原创的、未在任何正式媒体发表或出版过的文学作品。作品要求内容积极向上,充分展示当代中学生和大学生的精神面貌。

征文体裁包括长篇小说、中篇小说、短篇小说、小小说、诗歌、散文、报告文学。篇幅要求:长篇小说每部12-25万字;中篇小说每部3-5万字;短篇小说、散文、报告文学每篇不超过1万字;小小说每篇1500字左右;诗歌每首在10行以上。

征文按照不同体裁分设奖项。其中长篇小说:一等奖1名,二等奖2名,三等奖3名;中篇小说:一等奖2名,二等奖4名,三等奖6名;短篇小说:一等奖5名,二等奖10名,三等奖20名;小小说:一等奖5名,二等奖10名,三等奖20名;诗歌:一等奖10名,二等奖20名,三等奖30名;散文:一等奖10名,二等奖20名,三等奖30名;报告文学:一等奖10名,二等奖20名,三等奖30名。另设入围奖若干项。

自5月份开始,本次活动将在山东文学、时代文学、大众日报、齐鲁晚报、大众网等媒体择优陆续发表征文作品。征集作品结束后,将邀请有关专家组成评审委员会评出入选作品,征文活动组委会确定获奖名单,并于年底前举办颁奖活动,向获奖作者颁发奖金和获奖证书。

“世纪金榜杯”全国校园文化系列活动之

书信大赛方案

为深入贯彻落实十七大提出的弘扬中华文化、建设中华民族共有精神家园的战略任务,结合《国家中长期教育改革和发展规划纲要(2010—2020年)》对语言文字工作提出的要求:在教育教学活动中推广普及国家通用语言文字,提高国家通用语言文字应用水平,加强中华优秀文化传统和革命传统教育;注重提高学生语言文字应用能力,提高语言文化素质,传承和弘扬中华优秀文化传统和革命传统,语言文字报刊社拟举办“世纪金榜杯”全国校园文化系列活动之书信大赛。

一、大赛主题

本次书信比赛的主题是“学会感恩”。自古中华民族就有乐于助人、知恩图报的优良传统。如今很多孩子觉得父母、老师、朋友、同学对自己的关心、帮助是理所当然的,有的甚至产生反感,更谈不上感激,而部分成年人也存在这种心理。在文明社会,怀有一颗感恩之心是一种阳光心态,是一种成熟和责任,是传统文化中积极的人生精神境界,更是现代和谐社会公民的必备素质。本次比赛旨在借助书信这一形式,引导大家换位思考,懂得感恩、学会感恩,同时倡导文明、规范使用语言文字,以弘扬中华优秀文化传统,进而为构建和谐社会,建设中华民族共有精神家园,提高国家文化软实力做出贡献。

二、组织单位

此次活动由教育部语言文字应用管理司担任指导单位,国家语委语言文字报刊社主办,世纪金榜教育研究院承办,语言文字报社协办。

三、比赛范围和办法

1.本次活动面向全国各级各类学校的学生、教师,同时也欢迎其他关心社会语文生活的人士参加。

2.按照参与对象,分为小学组、初中组、高中组、中职组、大学组、教师组和社会组7个组别。

3.本次活动分为初赛和决赛两个阶段。初赛以省级行政区划为基本评比单位,从中评出一、二、三等奖和决赛入围者;大赛组委会组织决赛入围者举行决赛,从中评选出特等奖。决赛的时间、地点、内容和形式另行通知。

四、比赛要求

1.书信内容须符合本次比赛主题,符合书信的文体要求。2.书信须感情真挚,内容具体充实。忌假话、空话、套话、废话,须为原创作品,不得抄袭。

3.各参赛组别字数要求:小学组400—600字,其他组600—1000字。

4.若为手写稿,参赛者须将参赛作品邮寄至大赛组委会办公室;若为电子稿,则须按大赛组委会网站指定的路径上传。

五、时间安排

1.作品征集时间:2011年11月6日——2012年4月30日。

2.专家评审时间:2012年5月1日——2012年6月30日。

3.主办方将择时举办决赛及本次大赛总结大会,有关具体事项另行通知。

六、评选办法及奖项设置

1.主办单位委托承办单位对所征集的书信作品进行评审。评审要素包括思想内容、表达水平及语言规范等方面。

2.根据参赛作品质量,各省级评比单位按参赛人数评出各项奖项:一等奖10%,二等奖15%,三等奖25%,每组评选出特等奖10名。针对集体参赛情况,为各参赛单位设置不同的奖项。

3.所有获奖者和获奖单位均获得由主办单位颁发的证书一份。

七、其他事项

1.大赛组委会对全部参赛作品具有收藏、发表、出版、宣传等处置权,以及网络发表权和其他出版权;如因作者抄袭带来版权纠纷,由作者本人负全责;参赛者享有作品署名权。凡此次活动的参赛者,均视为已确认并遵守上述各项规定。

(二)纸质稿件

参赛作品需用作文稿纸誊写,要求书写工整规范。以学校或班级为单位集体参赛的须从大赛官方网站(www.xiexiebang.com)下载“集体参赛报名表”,填好之后与作品一起邮寄至大赛组委会办公室;个人参赛的自行邮寄。

六、专家评审

大赛组委会将聘请全国知名语言文字专家、学者、教授、教研员和一线特高级教师组成专家评审团队,制定评审细则,对参赛作品进行分组评审。

七、奖项设置

(一)奖项类别 1.参赛个人奖

分为小学组、初中组、高中组、中职组、大学组、教师组和社会组,获奖比例设置如下:

(1)特等奖:以省、自治区、直辖市、新疆生产建设兵团为单位,每组选出10名决赛入围者参加决赛。决赛胜出者为特等奖获得者,其他为一等奖获得者。

(2)一等奖:获奖比例为参赛人数的10%。(3)二等奖:获奖比例为参赛人数的15%。(4)三等奖:获奖比例为参赛人数的25%。2.组织单位奖(1)奖项设置

①全国校园文化系列活动优秀单位奖 获奖条件:

校园文化建设突出,有一定影响力;对本次活动组织到位,广泛调动了师生参与积极性;有详尽的校园文化建设材料,并获得大赛评审专家组通过。

②全国校园文化系列活动优秀校长奖 获奖条件:

重视校园文化建设且事迹突出;对本次活动组织到位、积极宣传,师生有很高的参与热情;有详尽的校园文化建设材料,并获得大赛评审专家组通过。

③全国校园文化系列活动优秀示范单位 获奖条件:

校园文化建设突出,有一定的示范作用;在本次活动评比中获奖比例较高;有详尽的校园文化建设材料,并获得大赛评审专家组通过。

对符合以上获奖条件的学校或校长,颁发相应奖牌或证书,并在大赛官方网站和语言文字报上择优进行相关报道。

(2)特别说明

申请以上奖项的学校或校长须提供以下材料: ①学校概况介绍材料(发展历史、所获荣誉等)②学校校园文化建设材料(视频、图片、文字)③校长个人介绍材料(简介、事迹、荣誉等)

(二)获奖奖励

八、特别说明

本次活动不向参赛者收取报名费、材料费、评审费。大赛组委会对全部参赛作品具有收藏、发表、出版、宣传等处置权,以及网络发表权和其他出版权;如因作者抄袭带来版权纠纷,由作者本人负全责;参赛者享有作品署名权。凡参加此次活动,均视为已确认并遵守上述各项规定。

Both diversity and integration Ladies and gentlemen, It’s my honor to share my ideas about culture development.Cultural development seems like a huge problem that only anthropologists or government officials can handle.The two cultural developing status “diversity” and “integration” seems contradict to each other.However, I’ll say that culture is a river which moves in both diverged way and confluent way.The riverbed of place can shape the river of culture.With the different geographical status, a river will have its branches and so do the river of culture.Since the river branches are exposed to various rocks and sands, the water differs a lot.A drop of water called music would tend to be fast in this branch while slow in another.Even Chinese poetry would be grandeur in the north while subtle in the south simultaneously.Ones living near a branch can hardly taste the invisible water of cultural phenomena only if they visit another riverbank can they tell the differences.Just as the water condition of an area will give the local some physical characters, the water of culture can also give us different psychological and spiritual characters respectively.It’s not hard for us to figure out the culture diversity by places.Moreover the riverbed of time would also be a typical factor to form the river of culture.Along the flying time, a river may flow into a brook with instantly-changed width and depth.The rivulet of Chinese characters streamed from the original complex form into simplified characters.As we all know, a watershed might tear one river into 2 or more.The certain event can also serve as a watershed, be it the Enlightenment when different schools of thought coexisted.Sometimes a river pours down to meet other rivers which can be interpreted as an integration of culture.The increased dwellers of the riverbanks would be the fans of the new trend.In order to maintain the river’s coursing in long term and in high quality, both of the ways are necessary and can’t be overused.If one branch runs in a dry place with little rain and severe sunlight, what’s worse, the dwellers don’t use it sustainably, this branch may be cutoff if nothing done.It’s common to see that some of the cultural heritage loses its successors.We need to have the endangered flow combined with others.We could see that the paper-cut or embroidery survived by some moderations of modern forms.However, the new river won’t be as pure as before.Once the purity of one culture can’t reach a certain level, its original fans will be reluctant to drink it because it’s too mix-up to be acceptable.Shouldering the mission to maintain the flow of culture, we should adopt both cultural preservation and updating but neither too much division nor too much compounding.Thus the river of culture can moisten people’s drily land of spiritual world and clean the exhausted or increasing materialized hearts.
