去食堂吃饭,尽管墙上贴出了“节约粮食,珍惜粮食”的标语,但对于很多就餐者来说却是形同虚设。很多食堂、餐馆的泔水桶里装满了人们浪费的粮食,那些白花花的馒头,大多只吃了半个甚至几口;餐桌上的米饭不少还剩有1/3,有的剩了一半以上。大量剩菜几乎没动几筷子。人们倒掉剩饭剩菜十分顺手淡然、毫不在乎。据调查,我国一年仅餐饮浪费的蛋白质和脂肪就分别高达800万吨和300万吨,这相当于倒掉了两亿人一年的口粮,这还不包括种、收、运、储、销和加工环节的损失与浪费!这是多么惊人的数字啊!
那些浪费粮食的人,总能列出种种理由。有的说:现在生活水平提高了,倒点儿剩饭剩菜算什么;有的说:我们这算什么浪费,有些人比我们浪费得多了!更有语出惊人者:“大吃大喝,那不叫浪费,那叫刺激消费!”很多人认为,“节约光荣、浪费可耻”的口号早就过时了。
