英语教师演讲能力的有效专项培训

外语教师演讲是督促教师业务文化学习和进行课堂教学研究、提高业务水平的重要途径,也是评估教师自身外语水平的有效手段。在新授课课型——阅读课课堂上,关于课文的背景介绍、文化拓展、课文概述、教学总结以及课外的说课、参加各种类型的教学大赛等等,都会看到教师演讲的魅力和风采。演讲的力量,就是沟通的力量,就是激发的力量,就是思想的力量。演讲的修养影响教师语言风格的形成。
近年来,随着多媒体教学的不断深入,给外语教师教学带来了很多方便,但也带来了弊端。外语教师过分依赖多媒体,“人机交往”频繁,影响了“人际交往”(教师脱机与学生的互动)。“人际交往”的质量并不是很高,即大多情况下外语教师在用英语发指令,用英语做口头陈述时,大多是在做“人机交往”,借助于课件或者说是读课件中展示的内容,这样教师的英语表达能力自然会受到影响。如果过于依赖机器操作,人的大脑活动就会减少或不活动,长久以往,就制约了英语教师的口语表达能力。
高考的压力,又使得教师忽略了自身素质的提高,口语表达及演讲能力越来越退化。可以通过专项培训的办法,协助教师提高其演讲能力。
在实施过程中,具体操作程序采取专项特训的办法,采取引领式模式,包括自信心特训、英语演讲句子特训(听/说为主)、背诵经典演讲段子(听/说/读/写训练)、英语演讲范文特训(读/写/演特训)、级演讲实战操练。具体操作办法如下:
专项培训办法I:自信心(Confidence)特训:

这一阶段的培训主要以训练参陪英语教师背诵经典演讲段子为主,向培训者提供来自世界的声音、世界名人的演讲片段,领略演讲的魅力和风采,以听/说/读/写四项语言技能进行强化训练,大量的语言输入,为外语教师做独立演讲:即兴演讲、命题演讲或辩论演讲储备信息。专项培训办法IV:英语演讲范文特训(读/写/演特训)
演讲稿的写作也可以说是没有定法的。但一般来讲,它又具有一定的规律可循。这一阶段的培训主要向参陪教师提供大量的英语演讲范文,练习大量阅读为主的读写,扩大阅读量,以读/写/演这三个方面为侧重点进行特训,开阔视野,背诵其中的精彩片段,更进一步领略演讲的魅力和风采。大量的语言输入,为外语教师做到能够独立演讲文稿书写奠定了扎实的基础。专项培训办法V:演讲实战操练

Good afternoon ladies and gentleman, It is a great honor to be chosen to speak here.I value this chance of sharing teaching experience with distinguished teachers very much.To be honest I felt rather nostalgic when somebody told me I would make a speech before all of you fine people.I can still remember when I made my first speech in college.My heart would have jumped out of my chest if I hadn‟t tried my best to control my breath.The reason lies in the fact that I really didn‟t know what to say at that time!Well today, being a teacher of English for some years in Shenzhen, I have a strong sense of responsibility, which always fills me with strength and confidence.I am from Xinzhou Middle School located in the west part of Shenzhen.There are two extremes in my school.About 38% are from local resident families, whose parents are rich and some even rich enough to own several buildings.But some of the children in such families turned out to be slow in their lessons.They seem to have
everything but the motivation of learning.However, About 60% of the students
are from working class families in the villages near by, whose parents hold temporary residence identities.Sometimes when we visit these students at home we noticed that a large proportion of their living standards are very critical.Some don‟t even have desks good enough to finish their homework on.No wonder they appear quite reluctant to pay enough attention to the teachers in classes, and always find excuses not to finish their homework.And according to assessment criteria there are 40% students struggling to get a pass in the English learning.Some even can not make a proper sentence before they are going to take the matriculation examinations.I still remember once I saw my student coming to school with one arm hanging on her neck.When asked she just said she was careless when she run across a pond, fell down and broke her arm.But later I got to know that she fell from the place she sleeps on the
temporary second floor at home, where half of it is a small shop in the village, while she was climbing down the ladder.At that time she was in a hurry to go to school.Not until then did I realized how hard it is for some of our students to manage to survive in Shenzhen, let along concentrate in learning their lessons at school.I believe if children live in poverty, they learn to fight for their future, if children live in comfort they learn to enjoy themselves.Then come the question, “How could I help them?” “What do they need most?” After some years of practicing I got to know three golden rules in English teaching in such kind of schools.Rule No.1 Getting to know what exactly problems in our students‟ learning English have and trying best to give them individual
instructions;Rule No.2 Try best to build up their confidence, let them have a taste of success.Make them believe that English is not that difficult as they thought to be;Rule No.3 Never trying to teach them the knowledge of English until they really mastered their own way of studying.For the most valuable knowledge is not the knowledge itself;it is the learning strategy.Rule No.4 The most important aspect in teaching here is love we cherish during teaching.If we don‟t love our students whole-heartedly we will never succeed in secondary

中小学英语教师基础能力培训学习
黄土镇仁和学校教学点简报
从2008年9月至2011年10月,安县教师进修学校在黄土镇仁和学校举行了“中小学英语教师基础能力培训”班第一期的学习。对黄土仁和学校和乐兴中学的所有英语老师进行了英语基础知识的培训,在这三年中,各位老师一边给自己充电,一边把这种从其他老师那学习和交流的东西运用在自己的工作当中,在实践中充分借鉴了别人的长处,提升了自己的专业素养,更换了新的知识血液,让中年教师再次燃烧工作的激情,让青年教师更快地成长和成熟。在这三年的培训里,主要采用了下面的几种学习方式:
首先,由县其他学校一些优秀教师到学校进行讲座,丰富了知识,教师更专业。在这些老师身上,一方面让我们学习和了解他们如何灵活处理书上的知识,如何尽量让呆板的课堂气氛变得活跃;另一方面,也让我们感觉到时进入了进修学习的阶段,让我们学习到很多我们原来都不曾了解的东西。可谓是给我们机会来实现在学习中成长,在成长中学习。
同时,互相听课评课,各取所长,研究了课例,成长了专业。每期都在片区参加培训的学校中各选若干名教师上观摩课,每个教师上课有自己的上课风格和方式,那么通过学习,我觉得上课并没有固定的授课模式。我们可以从不同老师那里学习他们上课的方式和精髓,但不可能一个班参加培训的老师全部照搬某一个老师的课堂。在上课中药及时关注学生的反馈信息,真正做到因材施教。学生、课堂都是可变因素很
大的群体,教师不可能完全照搬自己的教案,按照自己预想照搬硬套。总而言之,如何让课堂发挥最大的效益,才是我们备课最应该关注的问题。
其次,总结和建议。每学期培训结束。进修校老师都会叫各片区老师写反馈信息,提建议。在我看来,这或者也是给我们老师一个榜样,在我们进行完一次或者一个单元授课以后,是不是也定期或不定期在学生中收集一些建议,了解一些学生的想法呢?
培训过程中,每一位老师都付出了艰辛的努力,一次次的课例跟进,一次次的课后交流,我们的思想碰撞出火花,凝结成智慧的结晶。在执着的研修过程中,我们付出了不懈的努力,收获颇丰,通过老师们亲密无间的合作,我们能成为一个具有凝聚力的团队。我们坚信,所有老师们的学习热情,以及孜孜以求的精神将使我们终生受益。

安县黄土仁和学校蒋小聪
安县英语教师基础能力培训已经举行了四年时间了,经过这几年的摸索与创新,培训方式也是丰富多彩。有高级老师授课,讲授一些基本的教育教学常规,传授基本的学习理念;有外籍教师授课,让我们感受离别很长时间的正宗“外国理念”;更有学校间、教师间的互相听课评课,扬长补短。可以说这些形式通过我们自身的加工,并且充分发挥到自己的教学上面去,对所有老师都有着不少的提高。
首先,对于我们年轻人来说,努力提高自己的教育教学方式方法上,可谓是通过每一年的培训、学习,都得到了提高,教育教学观念得到了更新,对新课程理念有了更进一步的认识。新课程要求我们从以知识为本的教育理念转变为以学生发展为本,以学生为本的教育理念,重新认识初中英语课程的目标和定位。教师要树立新的学生观。我们教师要转变角色,重新定位师生关系。过去,我们还是学生的时候,很多教师把自己作为中心,要学生围着自己转。教师是知识的传授者,而学生只是被动的接受者,甚至把学生当作记录教师讲授内容的录音机。而现在素质教育的精神则要求我们以人为本,以学生为主体,尊重学生的情感、个性,需要和发展的愿望。我们教师要放下架子,与学生平等相处,教学相长。利用师生互动课堂模式提倡开放性的学习方式,鼓励学生创造性地学习,营造平等、民主、宽松的学习气氛。其次,在知识结构上的变化跟我们作为学生的时候是有点不同的。就像在国培上面我的作业写到的一样,对于初中学生来说,他们所需要学习的就是基础的东西,而我们年轻教师可能很容易犯一个错误,就是将我们所学到的关于这堂课的所有东西争取全部“倾倒”给学生,那肯定是不行的,学生也不可能接受那么多。所以,培训中也告诉我们,让我们充分理解到“因材施教”与“循序渐进”的重要性。
再次,对于学习任何一门语言,感受文化是很重要的。去年的培训方式有了更新,就是将外籍教师请入学校,请入课堂。这对于学习一门外语来说是很重要的,特别是我们现在实行的素质教育,提倡的更先进的教育方式就是“体验式教学”学生没体验什么是“外语”。就像我们如果要给学生介绍动作片电影,不可能就老师在上面一个劲的跳,那样还是很难体会到的。所以,这个形式我觉得应该更普遍的走进学生的课堂,哪怕一周一个年级一趟课,至少对提高学生的兴趣还是很有帮助的。
四年多的培训让我们感受很多,学习了很多,我们也更加希望能有机会学习到更多好的教学模式和方法。希望所有老师都能加强合作,为英语教育贡献力量。

全面提高教师英语素质的分层培训
上海市建平西校
建平西校是一所大型现代化的初级中学,全面提高教师的英语水平是一项重要的任务。为此,学校根据教师不同的英语水平和专业发展的需求,实施分层的英语校本培训。
实施职称英语校本培训,是不少教师晋级的需要,也是学校发展的需要。教师评选高一级职称必须通过英语职称考试,但很多骨干教师往往由于课务紧张而不能参加校外的专业培训。因此,开展职称英语培训,既可解决它们的后顾之忧,为教师专业发展服务,也可提高学校的凝聚力,优化教师资源,为学校的发展服务。
实施双语教师校本培训,是推广双语教学的需要。上海提出了“强化英语,试验双语,探索多语”的外语教学方针,并积极开展“双语教学”实验。建平西校也积极推进双语教学试验。但调研显示,师资问题一直是学校推广双语教学的瓶颈。由于双语师资严重短缺,双语普及程度和普及水平都不太尽如人意。因此,实施英语校本能力培训,提高教师英语能力,有利于双语教学试验的推广和实施,有利于培育学校的学科特色。
实施英语专职教师校本培训,也是新课程改革的客观需要。要求教师转变教育观念,探索新的教学方式,为培养创新性人才服务。聘请外籍教师作为主讲教师,采用小班授课的方式,运用多种新的课堂教学方法,既可提高英语教师的英语听说读写能力,也可使教师感受外籍教师独特的教学方式,提高教学实践能力,提高课堂教学效率。
一、培训目标: 教师英语能力校本培训的总体目标是借助学校英语教师、市级专家和外籍教师等资源,对有不同需要,不同层次老师进行不同方式和不同难度要求的培训,使学校的中青年骨干教师在校本培训的基础上分别提高英语能力,让一部分老师通过职称考试,顺利晋级;让有志尝试双语教学的青年教师具备双语教学的能力;让学校的英语教师进一步提高英语听说能力,了解西方文化,掌握新的教 1 学方法和活动设计能力,使教学方式更适合小班化英语教学,提高教学效果。
二、培训内容:
本项校本培训共分三个模块。模块
一、职称英语培训;模块
二、双语教师培训;模块
三、英语专业教师培训。
三、培训过程:
模块
一、职称英语培训
(一)目标:
此培训专门为必须通过英语职称考试,又为不接触英语多年的教师为培训对象,为参训教师最终通过考试打下坚实基础。具体目标是让参训教师参加上海市统一职称C级和B级的考试,争取80%参训教师能一次性通过。
(二)内容与准备工作:
本培训按照上海市统一职称考试教学大纲和考试计划,比较系统地从基础语法开始复习,注重扩大参训教师英语词汇量,英语构词法,近义词复习;提高参训教师句子结构的分析能力,句子理解能力,语篇理解能力,考题类型分析,应试技巧介绍和训练。
学校选拔校内优秀教师负责培训工作,提供固定教室等设施以保证培训班的正常教学。参加培训的教师,必须保证培训时间,不得缺课。学校支持教师参加培训,安排好课务,尽量保证他们有足够的时间和精力投入到外语学习中去,确保他们能够一次性通过职称考试。
(三)培训过程:
职称考试主要题型有词汇题,阅读理解题,完型填空题,主题归纳题,所以主要考核内容为考生的词汇量、阅读理解和归纳能力,所以我们重点培训以下几个方面:
1、巧用词汇科学记忆法,培养发散性思维能力,扩大词汇量。词汇是语言的三要素之一,是语言的建筑材料,直接关系到对整篇文章的理解。词汇培训中利用词根词缀记忆法和全息记忆法 2 等科学方法,注重培养参训教师的发散性思维能力,做到在记忆一单词时能够联想记忆它的派生单词。
2、了解阅读理解能力的考核目标,掌握解题技巧,强化阅读训练。
要读懂一篇材料,有三个要点:第一有足够的词汇;第二有足够的语法知识;第三有相关的背景知识。词汇量小,光靠查词典,肯定时间来不及。语法知识太差,不可能正确理解句子之间的关系。针对教师在复习过程中所遇到的困难,培训教师在讲解过程中注重提高参训教师对文章中的句子结构分析,提高理解能力。指导参训教师:
(1)提高问题类型的识别能力尤为重要,我们训练参训教师们识别阅读理解问题所考核的要求,让他们学会每种题型所需要的阅读方法和答题技巧。包括:抓大意的能力,掌握基本事实的能力,推理和判断正误能力,识别文体的能力,判断作者态度的能力等。
(2)先看题再看文章,带着问题去阅读答题才有效率,看文章时,最好随时标出题区、题号,尤其是词义题、细节题,以节省答题时的查找时间。同时,边读边划也为最后检查打下基础。经过一段时期的训练,参训教师的阅读速度和理解准确率得到有效的提高。
(3)学会舍弃细节,寻找主题句。主题句一般位于段落开头部分,也有在段中、段尾的。主题句体现了段落主旨和中心,只要抓住了主题句,自然就掌握了每一段的中心思想,再把这些中心思想加以集中,整篇文章的大意便清楚了。要把每段的第一句和最后一句作为阅读的重点,段落中的其它部分应尽量少读或忽略不读。对于有些题型文章或段落的大意、文章的语气等,使用这种方法极为有效,因为它可以使考生摆脱某些细节的干扰,而从整体上理解全文。另外,还要注意文章的标题。文章的标题往往是对其所要表达内容的一个高度概括,通过标题常能了解文章的大意。
3、利用完形填空命题规律,培养快速解题能力
完形填空是综合考查词汇、语法和阅读能力的测试形式。做完 3 形填空时,应该先把整篇文章快速通读一遍,以便大体上了解文章的内容,然后依靠自己语法、词汇和语篇方面的阅读能力,根据内容进行推断分析,寻找线索,正确答题。一般来说,文章空白处的单词,可以在本句中推断出,或者可以从上下文中推出,有时是句子间的连接,有时是对下文的归纳,教师通过范文指导参训教师学会这些技能。完形填空题考核的单词主要是名词、动词、语法结构词。名词要确定该词的数与格,动词要确定时态、语态、语气及非谓语动词。一时不能确定时,也不要停留在空白处左思右想,等文章读完后,再回头看看,不难发现要填的单词。
正是采用了以上科学的培训方法,我们帮助教师顺利地越过了词汇和理解的鸿沟,快速提高了应试能力,使教师的英语水平在短时间内有了很大的突破,职称考试通过率高达83.33%。
(四)考核评价:
本培训是区校本培训项目之一,为了保证培训质量和教师职称考试通过率,学校要求参加培训的教师尽量克服工作和个人的困难,积极参与,出勤率争取达到80%以上,结合参加教师职称考试的成绩和平时表现,为教师给出考核评价分数。第一期职称外语考试通过率达最后达到83.3%。
模块
二、双语教师培训
(一)目标:
利用外语组教师和外聘专家的师资力量对双语教学志愿者进行培训,提高他们英语听说能力和用英语组织教学的能力,为他们尝试英语双语教学打好基础;通过讲座,指导他们双语教学的理论学习;通过听课交流活动、实践教学活动,指导双语课堂教学的方法,促进学校双语教学的进一步发展。
(二)内容和准备工作:
聘请外籍教师和英语学科教师担任口语训练主讲教师,中方教师同时协助外教做好与参训教师的交流沟通工作和日常教务工作;与市双语教学专家联系,为双语教师做讲座;英语教师在双语教师课堂实践中提出教学改进意见,提高双语教学的质量;学校提 4 供语音教室等硬件设备,保证培训的顺利进行。
(三)培训过程:
1、提高双语教师的英语听说能力。
我们除了鼓励参训教师多听英语广播,看英语电影,学唱英文歌以外,在培训教学中注重:
(1)设置典型情景。主要以日常生活用语为主,从吃、穿、住、用、行入手,让参训教师全面接触英语语境。如我们创设问路、银行、邮局、购物、餐馆等问题情境,引导参训教师掌握常用的基本句型,提高教师对英语常用话题的听力理解和口语表达能力。(2)、模拟课堂情景,引导教师掌握课堂常用英语。如果仅仅停留在日常交际层面,长久下去,参训教师就会失去学习英语的热情。教师经常面临的场景是课堂教学。因此我们针对参训教师的实际和需要,把培训的重点放在组织上课、管理课堂常用的课堂用语培训上,如:如何使用英语开场白、组织教学、提问、指导、检查、布置作业和结束语等;纠正他们的语音、语调,指导他们如何利用不同的重音和语调表达情感和态度,调节师生之间的关系等问题。
(3)辅导讲座。我们聘请上海市双语教学专家为双语教师做双语教学辅导讲座,从双语教学的发展,教学方式,到怎样做好双语教师,提高双语教学能力等方面作了深入浅出的理论和实践指导,使全体双语教师收益颇深。
(4)教学实践磨练。为了进一步提高双语教师的实践能力,我们开展了双语公开教学活动,共有数学、化学、地理、历史、信息科技、政治、体育等学科的老师参加,学校搭建舞台,参训教师相互听课,切磋教学方法和技艺,共同提高。
(四)考核评价:
本培训考核由两部分组成:
1、全程记录教师参与情况,并让外籍教师给每位参训教师的参与程度、投入程度打分。
2、口试考试。考试包括简短的自我介绍,回答问题和主题谈话三部分。考试成绩将作为参训教师评优、晋升、出国深造的重 5 要依据。
3、课堂教学评比。通过初赛,和复赛推荐出优秀双语教师参加区、市级双语比赛。我校的杨静和曹水群老师分别代表奉贤区参加市双语教学比赛,获得市一等奖和二等奖。

三、英语专业教师培训
(一)目标:
提高专职英语教师的英语听说读写能力,也可使教师感受国外先进的教学理念和教学方式,增强英语教师的中西方文化意识,提高教师的教学实践能力;提高专业教师英语教学理念,改进教学方法,提高教学效率;增强教科研意识,提高科研能力,以科研促进教学。
(二)内容与准备工作:
每年聘请外籍教师担任主讲教师,采用小班授课的方式,每两周一次安排教研组活动时间,由外籍老师根据自己的特长,承担英语语言能力提高教学、英语课堂教学活动设计实践课、西方文化介绍、幽默语言等不同主题的课;聘请上海市英语教学专家,教学评估专家为我校英语教师做讲座、听课指导等;教务处为参训教师排课、调课,提供培训方便。
(三)培训过程:
1、提高英语教师的语言能力。较强的英语语言能力是英语教师出色完成教学任务的重要条件之一,因此,我们首先重点要提高英语教师们的语言素质。我校英语教师共有28名,由每年聘请的外籍教师通过小班教学,让全体英语教师参与教学活动提高听说能力,另外,我们鼓励教师平时多与外籍教师交流,在潜移默化中提高英语的听说能力。
2、提高英语教师的教学活动设计能力。我们要求外籍教师在培训英语教师听说能力的同时,介绍他们设计教学活动的方法,并在培训中演示和运用,这样英语教师在参与活动,锻炼听说能力的同时,体验教学活动的效果,熟悉这些活动的过程和组织方法,以便运用到自己平时的小班化教学中去。
3、文化是英语学习的主要部分,为了更好的提高英语教学能力,我们要求外籍教师通过自己的亲身体验谈谈中西方文化的差异,通过交流进一步了解西方文化,提高文化意识。
4、聘请上海市教学专家为学术指导老师,通过讲座提升教师的教学理念,让专家听课诊断教师教学中存在的问题,指导提高教师的实践教学能力。
5、听课评课研讨。同一备课组集体备课,研究教材,教师之间通过相互听课,一起切磋,优化每个教学环节,无论是家常课,还是公开课、示范课都体现教师教的过程,切实提高课堂教学实效。
(四)考核评价:
1、记载参训教师参与率;
2、每人精心设计一个单元的备课材料;
3、每学期撰写案例和教学论文与反思。
4、参训教师培训表现作为以后评优、晋升、出国进修的重要依据;推荐优秀的青年教师参加区级以上的教学比武。
